Olga Marenkina calls vaccination “a ticket to a normal life.” After vaccination, she, as before the pandemic, began going to theaters and concerts, visiting and communicating with friends.

“Probably, like everyone else, we have friends who, unfortunately, are against vaccination. I don’t know what they are waiting for - when will this end or will they invent a cure for Covid? In my opinion, it is already clear to everyone that now we will have to live with Covid forever or for a very long time until it weakens. Therefore, there is only one way out - vaccination, there is no other way. This disease is like Russian roulette - neither youth nor excellent health can save you, only a vaccine. It’s a shame that people without vaccination sit at home and don’t go anywhere. But, having protected yourself, you can meet, go to exhibitions, to the Philharmonic. As scary as this may sound, many of our friends still got the hang of it, saying that “the shells are getting closer and closer.” They were vaccinated after their loved ones became seriously ill. But you don’t need to wait for something, just go and get vaccinated. At my husband’s institute, everyone got vaccinated: teachers, graduate students, and students. Nobody wants to get sick,” the Muscovite is sure.

"Tested on myself"

Pensioner Sergei Paltsev is one of the first Muscovites 65+ to come to the vaccination center. He says that he was waiting for our vaccine because he trusts the experience and knowledge of our scientists.

“I have now already been vaccinated again, because the first time was back in February. Our scientists said that after six months the immunity weakens, and to strengthen it you need to do it again. Since I have a higher technical education, I am used to calculating situations, analyzing facts, and my conclusion was to get vaccinated. My father is a doctor, he also told me what to do. The first thing we all need is to think carefully. We are critical thinking people. There are few options here - live or die. And only total vaccination will save us,” he is sure.

Sergei Yuryevich believes that people who refuse to get vaccinated should listen to the opinions of scientists, and not “catch cheap sensations on the Internet” or believe rumors.

“The wording “someone I know or a relative said that there is no need to get vaccinated, they say, it’s dangerous” is annoying,” and it turns out that their authority is higher than the authority of respected doctors, infectious disease specialists, immunologists who speak out and explain the importance of vaccination. Unfortunately, some of us live by the principle of “someone said it.” Regarding the gift set “Taking care of your health,” the Muscovite noted its functionality and quality.

“Of course, I would have been revaccinated even without the gift, but since such a good campaign has been announced, donating kits is wonderful, in my opinion. Those who collected these gifts for pensioners thought everything through well. For example, in Soviet times there were sets of scarce products and they always included the so-called “load”, something unnecessary. So, in the “Health Care” sets there is no burden - everything is very functional, well thought out, and everything will be useful in the household. For example, I have never monitored my blood pressure before, but now I have my own tonometer and monitor my blood pressure twice a day. It is very comfortable. It turned out that it was jumping, I began to pay attention to it, and revised my life routine. In general, the set contains everything you need, everything costs money, but here it’s free. It was very pleasant,” said S. Paltsev.
