Fun starts for children outside in summer
Even the most beloved summer time for children can be boring if it is not filled with useful and interesting activities. It can be anything - intellectual games or mini-sports competitions, such as “Fun Starts” held by adults for children outside in the summer.
Who participates in the “Fun Starts” relay races on the street?
These competitions, which originate in the Soviet Union, most often cover school audiences and are held during school hours on a serious scale. But in the summer, on the street, everyone, young and old, can take part in the “Merry Starts” relay races. After all, victory is not so important here as participation. But it would still be correct if you form teams from different age categories, that is, one should have both kids and older children.
Such summer competitions can be timed to coincide with a city holiday, in honor of Children's Day or City Day, or they can be held on the initiative of parents simply in the yard.
The goal of the “Fun Starts” competition
These relay races are not as simple as they seem at first glance, because they have certain goals. Regularly held “Fun Starts” develop in children a sense of teamwork and mutual assistance, develop motor skills, and improve coordination and motor skills. All together, this has a positive effect on health, because games are played in the fresh air.
Competitions for “Fun Starts” on the street
To get as close as possible to the program of traditional competitions, you will need to follow the following sequence of actions:
- First, the teams introduce themselves (presentation).
- Then there is a warm-up.
- After this there is a competition for captains.
- At the end of the introductory part, various competitive competitions are held.
- The final chord is the awarding of symbolic prizes to the winners.
"Running with obstacles"
Most often, this is a competition for captains, when one representative of each team must run around conditional obstacles (pins, baskets, balls) and return to their starting point without hitting anything.
"Baton Relay"
The simplest game is running with a relay baton. The participants of each team line up, and the first one starts running with a stick. After running a certain area, he returns and passes the stick to the next one, and so on until the last team member.
"The most dexterous"
Participants are given three balls - volleyball, basketball and football. Everyone in turn must carry them all without dropping them, in any convenient way.
"Rope"
The most exciting relay race is the tug-of-war between two teams. The main attribute, the rope, can be any rope with a length of at least five meters (depending on the number of participants).
"Running with a hoop"
For the competition you will need a large hoop, which will include 4-5 people. First, the first participant runs alone in it. Then the next one joins it, and so on until the hoop is full. The rest, who did not get into the middle, run, holding the edge. The winning team is the one that reaches the finish line first.
"Accuracy Competition"
This relay involves identifying the most dexterous and accurate shooter. At a distance of 5-6 meters, a shield is installed with a drawn target, which you need to hit with the ball, as close to the center as possible. The number of points per hit is counted.
"Harvesting"
Opposite each of the teams is a field that needs to be planted with vegetables, which can be any available items, and then you need to collect them. The first player runs with a basket and lays out the vegetables. Then he runs to the second participant, and the basket goes to him. His task is to reap the harvest. And so on until the last participant.
"Baba Yaga"
For the relay race you will need a mortar (box, bucket) and a broom (broom). Participants stand in the mortar with one foot, and push off with the other, trying to run, while waving a broom.
After the winning team is determined based on the number of points, the adults, the organizers of the summer “Fun Starts,” give sweet prizes to both the losers and the winners, because, as always, friendship wins in such events.
