New Year's parties for children were decided to be held without parents due to COVID
“Ensuring the safety of children in the context of the spread of coronavirus infection is one of the main tasks facing every school,” the press service of the Department of Education told MK. “Therefore, matinees, performances, as well as theatrical performances for students and preschool children in institutions are organized without the presence of parents.
The department explained that mothers and fathers will see children's parties remotely - the educational institution will provide them with video recordings of the event or provide the possibility of an online broadcast.
In the capital's schools, as we found out, this scenario did not come as a surprise. The teachers were ready for this.
– We can say for sure that we will have a concert – both in school and preschool departments. – said the administration of school No. 1413. – The guys will prepare the performances themselves. And if last year they recorded their performances at home, now - since we were not forced to work remotely - we will try to record them in the hall. There will be songs, poems, and even dances.
The institution clarified that the performances will be edited into one video and the resulting video concert will be posted by the school on social networks.
– If for the New Year we usually all gathered in the common room, then this year the children will celebrate the holiday with their teachers in parallel, or even each in their own class.
– Will class parent committees or the school give gifts to children?
- No, no purchased gifts. This is currently not recommended by management due to the danger of coronavirus. But making a craft with your own hands is not prohibited for a friend, a friend, or a teacher. For example, you can cut out a snowflake and write wishes on it.

We will offer them a game program, and give high school students the opportunity to plunge into the past and remember the history of the New Year celebration. – said the teacher-organizer and music teacher of the school Olga Kazakova. – If it is impossible to celebrate the holiday in the classroom, in this case there is a second option - to film a performance in the musical genre in our assembly hall. This will be a whole New Year's film. Individual children will participate.
– And if you still hold the holiday in classrooms, will you broadcast live?
– No, we decided not to do this, because each class has different technical equipment. In addition, when the broadcast is on, not all the children are included in the frame, and it is important for every parent to see their child! But we will invite a professional operator who will do everything at the highest level.
“It is very important that the schoolchild takes part in the holiday in person in the New Year, and not just watch a video recorded by someone,” family psychologist Maryana Razumovskaya told MK. – Otherwise, the child (especially if he is of preschool or primary school age) may experience prolonged depression. After all, for kids, the New Year is magic, it’s a psycho-emotional charge for the whole next year! Subconsciously, the child programs himself: as the holiday approaches, the year will pass.
