Big races in a small house: 8 fun relay races for the whole family

Big races in a small house: 8 fun relay races for the whole family

Relay races are often held in kindergartens and schools. But you can organize a family relay race or invite friends to visit. Of course, a large gym or courtyard is better suited for such a game, but some competitions can be held in an ordinary room. We've collected ideas for home relay races.

Eggs on spoons

Any number of teams can participate in this race, but for the home version it is more convenient to limit yourself to two. You will need two eggs (one for each team) and a spoon for each participant. You can take chicken eggs, but then the game will end too quickly, because you will have to take a break to clean. Better use chocolate or decorative eggs.

Members of both teams line up behind each other. The first participant from each team puts the egg on the spoon and, putting his hand forward, runs to the opposite wall, comes back and passes the egg to the next team member. And so on until the last participant returns.

Dress up

Take two bags, boxes or baskets. Place hats, caps, ties, vests and other items of clothing in them. Players again need to split into two teams and stand behind each other. At the signal, the first player from each team runs up to the box, takes an item from there and puts it on.

Then he returns to his team and passes this item to the next participant. He must put it on, run up to the box, put on something else, come back, pass both items to the third player, and so on.

Shoe Hunt

For this game, all participants will need their shoes. But you only need to put on one sneaker or boot, but the second one should all be put in one box. Then the players are divided into teams and line up one after another. At the signal, players from both teams take turns running up to the box and looking for their shoes there. There is no way to cheat here!

Running with boxes

And for this game, shoes will not be useful, because instead players will use shoe boxes without lids. Each team needs one box. The first player places one foot in the box and runs with it to the opposite wall, then returns and passes the box to the next player.

Waiters

Give each player a tray or plate. It's safer to use disposable plates. Give each team one small ball. The first player places the ball on the tray, lifts it above his head and runs to the other end of the room, after which he comes back and passes the ball further. Place obstacles that players will need to avoid - this will make it even more difficult to keep the ball on the tray!

Pass the ball

Distribute balloons to all teams. At the signal, the first player in the team must pass the ball under his feet to the second. He passes the ball to the third one over his head. All other players also alternate methods of passing the balls. The last player runs forward and pops the balloon to indicate they are finished. If children are scared by the noise of popping balloons, come up with a different signal.

Ball and pen

Give the first player on each team a small ball and a pen. Place some obstacle at a distance from it: a box or a bottle. The first players of both teams will need to bend or crouch and, using the handle, push the ball towards the obstacle, go around it, return and pass the ball and handle further.

Find the picture

Younger children will definitely enjoy this game! Collect different picture books for her and put them in a box. Look in advance at what pictures there are and redraw geometric shapes, animals, plants, food and other illustrations.

Arrange chairs for all participants. Place one picture card on each chair. The first team member, on a signal, takes a picture from his chair, runs up to a box of books and leafs through them, trying to find there the same pictures that are shown on his card. He shows the found picture to the presenter, and the turn moves to the next participant.

Relay Games

Relay races at summer camp

Relays are fun competitions that provide an opportunity to build good team spirit and cooperation. Set clear signs for the start of relay races - “to the line”, “in a row”, etc. To end, blow the whistle; for silence, raise your left hand. Use sign language - hand wave - to start, it's the same as saying "Let's go!" For relay races where a baton or other object is passed, use a right-hand to right hand pass to receive the object or touch another competitor. This provides running space for all teams. Plan your relay route to give players plenty of room as they quickly run backwards. Don't sit near a wall. Arrange the teams so that the participants can view the team's actions slightly diagonally, and the lines of the teams themselves are separated. If your group is too large, try dividing it into small teams so that everyone can actively participate. To avoid any misunderstandings, swap participants from time to time. If you have an odd number of players, then in a smaller team, have one player run twice. Give visible signs clearly and definitely so that all commands are understood.

Relay races can be held with or without various objects. They represent several sequential exercises usually carried out by children in turn. The complexity and length of the relay race is determined depending on the age and preparedness of the participants. The number of players in teams must be the same.

Relay options:

  • Counter relay race
. The players are divided into two teams. Each in turn is divided in half. The players line up opposite each other behind the lines. Players leading teams on one side of the court are given a baton (tennis ball). On command: “March!” they start running. The runners, running up to the head players of the opposing teams, pass the baton to them and stand behind them. The person who receives the baton runs forward and passes it to the next player standing opposite, etc.

The relay ends when the teams change places on the court. Those who finish their runs earlier win.

  • Simple circle relay race
. The players are divided into three to five teams and stand in the middle of the hall like the spokes of a wheel, turning their right or left side to the center of the circle. It turns out to be a kind of sun with rays. Each beam line is a team. The players furthest from the center of the circle hold a relay baton (town, ball) in their right hand. At the leader’s signal, these players run in a circle (from the outside) past the rest of the spokes, to their spoke and pass the baton to the player waiting on the edge, after which they stand at the other end of their line (closer to the center of the team). All players take half a step from the center. The player who received the baton also runs around the circle and passes it to the third number, etc. When the one who started the game is on the edge and the baton is brought to him, he raises it up, announcing the end of the game for his team. You can see by the raised hand who finished the relay race first. The rules prohibit touching standing players while running around, and thereby interfering with players who are jogging.
  • Big relay race
. Flags are placed at the four corners of the site, and a large flag is placed in the center. Players are divided into three teams, which line up in columns one at a time near the starting line. One runner from each team is called to the starting line. At the signal, they run around four flags and, having run to the finish line (next to the starting line), pass the baton to the second numbers who took the starting position at the start. The team whose trailing player finishes running around the flags first wins. He must be the first to run up to the central flag and knock on the pole with the relay baton. Small flags run around from the outside. The last player on the team must run around the fourth corner flag before running to the center flag.
  • Relay race - leapfrog
. The players are divided into two teams, which stand in columns one at a time parallel to each other. The distance between teams is 3–4 m. In front of each column, at a distance of 8–12 m from the starting line, a circle (1.5 m in diameter) is drawn or a rectangle is drawn. The first team numbers appear in it. Each person rests his hands on one leg and, leaning forward, hides his head. At the leader’s signal, the players standing in front in the columns run forward and perform a vault jump, pushing off with both legs and leaning their hands on the back of a friend (leapfrog jump), and then stand in his place. The players who were jumped over run back to their columns, touch their palms to the next players, and then stand behind their teams. Those who received a hand touch run forward, make a vault and remain in circles, etc. The game ends when all players finish jumping, that is, the player who made the first jump, jumping over a teammate, will remain standing in the circle, and the one jumped over will cross the start line from where the players started running.
  • Ball relay
. Players in teams are lined up in columns one at a time, the distance between players is 1-2 steps (depending on the method of passing the ball). The ball is in the hands of the guide. At a signal, the ball is passed from hand to hand in a determined manner and returned in the same way. The relay is performed several times in a row. The first team to complete the pass wins.
  • Relay race - train
. A line is drawn in front of the teams standing in columns, and racks (medicine balls) are placed 10 - 12 m from each of them. At the signal, the first team numbers run around the posts (counterclockwise) and head to the starting line. They run past their column, go around it from behind and run back to the posts. When they cross the starting line, the second numbers join them, grabbing them by the waist, and now the two players run around the obstacle. After turning around the team, third numbers join them, etc. The game ends when the entire team depicting train cars (without releasing their hands) finishes, that is, the last player crosses the starting line. In the game, the first numbers get the most workload, so when repeating, the participants in the columns are arranged in the reverse order.

Relay races are classified according to various criteria, which make it possible to systematize them and facilitate the selection of game tasks.

Relay races are divided into:

  • according to the number of included tasks - simple and complex. If everyone has one task (running a certain distance, dribbling a ball, carrying a load, etc.) these are simple relay races, if two or more are complex. For the latter, you can use an obstacle course;
  • according to the requirements for the tasks performed - strictly regulated and arbitrary. The former require the task to be completed in a pre-agreed way, the latter - in any way that is most rational or convenient for the player;
  • according to the nature of the movements - linear, circular, counter. In linear relay races, participants move in a straight line or perform a task along a chain, lined up in a column or line; in circular - players move in a circle or lined up in a circle and, standing still, pass the baton along the chain in one direction; in counters - half of the participants of each team (girls or boys) are located on the opposite side of the court, and the movement of the players or the transfer of the baton (for example, throwing the ball) goes towards each other;
  • according to the mode of action of the participants - individual and collective. In individual relay races, all participants take turns performing specified actions: on the spot, with movement in various ways, with movement and additional tasks. In collective relay races, participants move in groups, and success is ensured by the coordination of the actions of the entire team.

For children of junior teams, relay races with a plot or thematic plan are organized. Each player or group of participants completes their task. Attraction games and duel games are widely used here, during which rivals reveal their advantage in a one-on-one fight. They can take place in actions and relationships between players of varying complexity, combinations with active martial arts associated with direct contact, as well as without contact with an opponent.

Semi-game - semi-sports relays are most often called “Fun Starts” - these are team competitions in which children demonstrate strength, agility, and speed. They have a spirit of competition, worries about the success of a comrade, intense passions and explosions of emotions.

Preparation for the relay includes the following:

1. Completing teams (2, 3 or more) with an equal number of participants and with an equal number of boys and girls. Teams come up with sonorous and bright names.

2. Preparation of the site and equipment (balls, jump ropes, hoops, skittles, gymnastic sticks) in sufficient quantities. And:

  • Prepare assistants.
  • Appointment or invitation of judges.
  • Development of evaluation criteria and penalty points.
  • Making scoreboards.
  • Preparation of fans (slogans, banners).
  • Preparation of awards for winners and losers.
  • A selection of fun tasks.

The name of the relay may change. This intrigues, renews interest, and increases the emotionality of anticipation. Approximate names:

  • "Sportlandia"
  • "Fairytale relay races"
  • "Good fun"
  • "Zoological races"
  • "Sports Laughdrome"
  • "Dure Relay"
  • "Water-land competitions"
  • "Stadium of Surprises"
  • "Comic Olympics"
  • "Happy Finishes"

The ceremonial opening of the relay includes:

  • leaving and building teams,
  • welcome address from the main organizer,
  • greeting each other's teams,
  • representation of arbitrators,
  • raising the sports flag,
  • lighting of the Olympic flame,
  • demonstration performances by “professionals”,
  • explanation of the rules of the upcoming competitions,
  • pronouncing an oath,
  • the ceremonial passage and exit of the teams to the start to the welcoming chants of the spectators.

Costuming, good humor, and musical accompaniment increase interest in the relay race. It is important to remember the incendiary commentary, the ongoing announcement and results, the support of fans and the awards process.

Tips for instructors

  1. In order not to waste time during the relay race, explain in advance and draw on the stand the conditions and rules of the games, prepare a set of signs (gestures, signs, etc.), such as “stop”, “go”, “freeze”.
  2. Make sure the playground and equipment are always ready for play. Make permanent markings on the site in the form of squares, circles, lines, dots, etc. Make sure your equipment is in good condition, especially your balls.
  3. Create more teams, groups and involve them in games. Encourage everyone present to get active so they don't stand on the sidelines. Use small groups whenever possible.

JOKIC OLYMPICS

1. Long jump. Two teams compete in the long jump - the first participant stops at the place of his result, the second jumps further from this place, and so on for the whole team. The overall team jump of greater length will be victorious.

2. Race walking. The first participants of the competing teams begin to move from the starting line and back, taking each step, placing the heel of one foot to the toe of the other. Having passed the baton, each team member moves in this way. Of all the slow moving ones, the fastest ones win.

3. Shooting. Participants line up 5 m from the basket, which will be the target. You need to shoot with waste or natural material (corks, cones...), throwing them into the basket. The first participants of two teams receive one item each. The team with the most items in their basket wins.

4. Cross-country skiing. We draw two parallel curved lines for each team - this is a ski track. The first participants are given relay sticks. In one direction the participants “ride” on skis with a sliding step, in the other they run, passing the baton to the next one. Instead of skis, you can use plastic bottles cut to insert legs.

5. Bobsleigh . The participants are divided into threes, two - “drivers” - hold the bag - sled - by the corners, the third is the rider. They go in one direction, run back and pass the baton to the next three.

6. Night orienteering. The first two participants of the competing teams are blindfolded and must get to the start and run back, without a blindfold. Teams can help “night pedestrians” by shouting “to the right”, “to the left”, “forward”, “back”.

7. Bicycle racing. Pairs of participants compete holding a plastic bottle - a bicycle - between their legs. Bicycle one way, run the other, passing the baton to the next pair.

8. Tug of war. Teams compete standing with their backs to each other, and the rope is passed between their legs.

9. Siamese twins . Pairs of teams compete, clasping hands, with their backs to each other. They run sideways from start to finish and back.

10. Train. The first team member is the “locomotive” and runs to the finish line and back. At the start, they hitch the first “car” and the two of them move to the finish line and back, hooking the next car. The “train” that arrives in full force at the start wins.

He turns around and rolls back in a straight line, passing the scooter to the next participant. The team that finishes the distance first wins. If insurance is required individually, then the adult must complete the distance together with the child.

Physical education instructor: This concludes our competition. And while our esteemed judges are summing up the results, I ask you to take your places on the circles (drawn visual cues) on the sports field. Physical education instructor: After counting the votes of the judging panel, each team is awarded 10 points. This means that each participant becomes the winner of the competition and will be awarded a medal for 1st place. This badge is not sold, but ceremonially presented. Only the best are awarded for sporting success. The judges award the children with medals. Physical education instructor: Athletes from different countries take part in the Olympic Games. And always after the award ceremony the anthem of the country whose athlete took first place is played. Alignment with the flag, the anthem of the Russian Federation sounds. Ball in the ring

Teams are lined up in a single column, one at a time, in front of the basketball backboards at a distance of 2–3 meters. After the signal, the first number throws the ball around the ring, then puts the ball, and the second player also takes the ball and throws it into the ring, and so on. The team that hits the hoop the most wins.

Artists

In the center of the circle or stage are two easels with paper. The leader calls two groups of five people. At the signal from the leader, the first from the group take the coal and draw the beginning of the picture; at the signal, they pass the coal to the next one. The task is for all five competitors to draw a given drawing faster than their opponents. Everyone must participate in drawing. The tasks are simple: draw a steam locomotive, a bicycle, a steamship, a truck, a tram, an airplane, etc.

Three ball run

At the starting line, the first person conveniently takes 3 balls (football, volleyball and basketball). At the signal, he runs with them to the turning flag and places the balls near it. It comes back empty. The next participant runs empty to the lying balls, picks them up, returns with them back to the team and, not reaching 1 m, places them on the floor. - instead of large balls, you can take 6 tennis balls, - instead of running, jumping.

turnip

Two teams of 6 children each participate. This is grandfather, grandmother, Bug, granddaughter, cat and mouse. There are 2 chairs on the opposite wall of the hall. On each chair sits a turnip - a child wearing a hat with a picture of a turnip.

Grandfather starts the game. At a signal, he runs to the turnip, runs around it and returns, the grandmother clings to him (takes him by the waist), and they continue running together, again go around the turnip and run back, then the granddaughter joins them, etc. At the end of the game, A turnip catches a mouse. The team that pulled out the turnip the fastest wins.

Hoop relay

Two lines are drawn on the track at a distance of 20 - 25 m from one another. Each player must roll the hoop from the first to the second line, go back and pass the hoop to his friend. The team that completes the relay first wins.

Counter relay race with hoop and skipping rope

Teams line up as if in a relay race. The guide of the first subgroup has a gymnastic hoop, and the guide of the second subgroup has a jump rope. At the signal, the player with the hoop rushes forward, jumping through the hoop (like jumping rope). As soon as the player with the hoop crosses the starting line of the opposite column, the player with the jump rope starts and moves forward by jumping the rope. After completing the task, each participant passes the equipment to the next player in the column. This continues until the participants complete the task and change places in the columns. Jogging is prohibited.

Porters

4 players (2 from each team) stand on the starting line. Everyone gets 3 large balls. They must be carried to the final destination and returned back. It is very difficult to hold 3 balls in your hands, and picking up a fallen ball without outside help is also not easy. Therefore, porters have to move slowly and carefully (the distance should not be too great). The team that completes the task faster wins.

Ball race underfoot

Players are divided into 2 teams. The first player throws the ball back between the players' spread legs. The last player of each team bends down, catches the ball and runs forward with it along the column, stands at the beginning of the column and again sends the ball between his spread legs, etc. The team that finishes the relay the fastest wins.

Three jumps

Participants are divided into two teams. Place a jump rope and a hoop at a distance of 8-10 m from the start line. After the signal, the first person, having reached the rope, takes it in his hands, makes three jumps on the spot, puts it down and runs back. The second person takes the hoop and makes three jumps through it and alternates between the jump rope and the hoop. The team that finishes it faster will win.

Prohibited movement

The players and the leader stand in a circle. The leader takes a step forward to be more noticeable. If there are few players, then you can line them up and stand in front of them. The leader invites the children to perform all the movements after him, with the exception of those prohibited, which were previously established by him. For example, it is prohibited to perform the “hands on the belt” movement. The leader begins to make different movements to the music, and all the players repeat them. Unexpectedly, the leader performs a prohibited movement. The player repeating it takes a step forward and then continues to play.

Ball race

The players are divided into two, three or four teams and stand in columns one at a time. Those standing in front each have a volleyball. At the manager’s signal, the balls are passed back. When the ball reaches the person standing behind, he runs with the ball to the head of the column (everyone takes a step back), becomes the first and begins passing the ball back, etc. The game continues until each of the team players is first. You need to make sure that the ball is passed with straight arms and tilted back, and the distance in the columns is at least a step.

Passed it on - sit down!

The players are divided into several teams, 7-8 people each, and line up behind the common starting line in a column, one at a time. Captains stand in front of each column, facing it at a distance of 5-6 m. The captains receive a volleyball. At the signal, each captain passes the ball to the first player in his column. Having caught the ball, this player returns it to the captain and crouches. The captain throws the ball to the second, then third and subsequent players. Each of them, returning the ball to the captain, crouches. Having received the ball from the last player in his column, the captain raises it up, and all the players on his team jump up. The team whose players complete the task faster wins.

Snipers

Children stand in two columns. Place a hoop at a distance of 3m in front of each column. Children take turns throwing sandbags with their right and left hands, trying to hit the hoop. If the child hits, then his team gets 1 point. Result: whoever has the most points wins.

eye of a needle

There are 2 or 3 hoops on the ground along the relay line. When starting, the first person must run to the first hoop, pick it up and thread it through himself. Then do the same with the next hoops. And so on the way back.

Relay race with skipping rope

The players of each team line up behind the common starting line in a column one at a time. A rotating stand is placed in front of each column at a distance of 10 - 12 m. At a signal, the guide in the column runs out from behind the starting line and moves forward, jumping over the rope. At the turntable, he folds the rope in half and grabs it in one hand. He moves back by jumping on two legs and rotating the rope horizontally under his feet. At the finish line, the participant passes the rope to the next player on his team, and he himself stands at the end of his column. The team whose players finish the relay more accurately and earlier wins.

Counter relay with bars

Children are divided into teams of 6 - 8 people each. Participants line up in opposing columns one at a time at a distance of 8 - 10 m from one another. The guides of the columns of the first group receive 3 wooden blocks, the thickness and width of which are at least 10 cm, length - 25 cm. Having placed 2 bars (one on the starting line, the other in front, one step from the first), each of the managers stands on the bars with both feet , and holds the third block in his hands. At the signal, the player, without leaving the bars, places the third bar in front of him and transfers the leg that was behind him to it. He moves the freed block forward and places his foot on it. So the player moves to the opposite column. The guide of the opposite column, having received the bars behind the starting line, does the same. The team whose players switch places in the columns the fastest wins.

Animal relay

The players are divided into 2 - 4 equal teams and line up in columns one at a time. Those playing in teams take the names of the animals. Those standing first are called “bears,” those standing second are called “wolves,” those standing third are called “foxes,” and those standing fourth are called “hares.” A starting line is drawn in front of those in front. At the teacher’s command, team members must jump to a given place just like real animals do. The “wolves” team runs like wolves, the “hares” team jumps, etc.

Relay "Loshariki"

Place inflated balloons in a circle. At the teacher’s command, all teams run to the balls and, sitting on them, try to burst them, but at the same time collect the tails from the balls. The team that collects the most tails will win. You can collect all the ponytails that will be around.

Rhythmic relay race with sticks

The game is played between two or more teams, which line up in columns in front of the starting line. The first team players have gymnastic sticks in their hands. At the leader’s signal, the players run with them to the stand located 15 m from the starting line, run around it and return to their columns. Holding the stick by one end, they carry it along the column under the feet of the players, who, without moving from their place, jump over it. Once at the end of the column, the player passes the stick to the partner standing in front of him, who is next, and so on until the stick reaches the player leading the column. He runs forward with a stick, repeating the task. The game ends when all players have run the distance.

Jumping on stripes

There are strips 50 cm wide on the floor across the court. Players in teams stand on one side of the court. At the signal, the first players begin to jump from strip to strip. Jumps can be performed from foot to foot, two at the same time, etc. - according to the instructions of the teacher. Those who complete the task correctly receive a point. The team with the most points wins. Repeated 2-3 times.

Unload the car

Children are invited to unload the “cars” with “vegetables”. The machines are placed against one wall, and two baskets are placed opposite them against the other wall. One player at a time stands near the baskets and, at a signal, runs to the cars. You can carry vegetables one at a time. Vegetables must be the same in all machines, both in quantity and volume. Other participants can then "load" the machines; In this case, the players stand near the cars, run to the baskets at a signal and carry the vegetables into the cars. Machines can be boxes, chairs; vegetables - skittles, cubes, etc.

Relay "Fanta"

A heavy burden

Participants are divided into teams of two. Each pair of players receives two sticks up to 50 cm long and a board 70-75 cm long, with a flag attached to it. Standing side by side, players keep their sticks facing forward. A board is placed on the ends of the sticks. In this form, with joint efforts, they must carry their burden to the designated place and return back. If the board falls, the players stop, pick it up and then continue on their way. Whoever completes the task faster is considered the winner.

Passage of the swamp

Each team is given 2 hoops. With their help it is necessary to overcome the “swamp”. Groups of 3 people. At the signal, one of the participants in the first group throws the hoop to the ground, all three players jump into it. They throw the second hoop at such a distance from the first that they can jump into it, and then, without leaving the space of the second hoop, reach the first with their hand. So, by jumping and throwing hoops, the group gets to the turning point. You can get back to the start line via a “bridge”, i.e. just roll the hoops on the ground. And at the starting line, the hoops are passed to the next three. It is strictly forbidden to step your foot outside the hoop - you can “drown”.

Snake

Two teams. One team has ribbons in their hands. At the signal, the team with ribbons begins to run randomly around the hall, waving the ribbons across the floor like a snake. The other team catches up with any player with a ribbon and tries to step on the snake. The person whose ribbon is stepped on is eliminated from the game. The game is against time, so the team whose time is shorter will win.

Calling players

The players are divided into 2 teams and stand in a column one at a time. Team players are counted in numerical order. The manager calls the number. For example: 1, then 5, etc. The called players run to the designated place, run around the stand (object) there and return back. The team whose player returns first gets a point. At the leader’s signal, the first pair quickly puts the rope on the ground and both players run (one to the left, the other to the right) to the end of their column, and then successively jump over the ropes of all pairs standing in the column. Having reached their places, both players stop and again take their rope by the ends. Once the first rope is picked up from the ground, the second pair puts down their rope, jumps over the first rope, runs past the column to its end and jumps over the ropes to their place. Then the third pair enters the game, etc. The team whose players finish the relay first wins.

Bring a piece of paper You need to prepare 2 sheets of paper. The players are divided into two teams. The first player of each team is given a piece of paper on their palm. During the game, the sheet should lie on its own in the palm of your hand - it should not be held in any way. The first players from each team run to the flag. If a leaf suddenly falls to the ground, you need to pick it up, put it on your palm and continue on your way. Having reached his team, the player must quickly transfer the leaf to the palm of the next participant. The team that completes the task faster wins.

Pair relay

Goal: Development of speed and dexterity of movements. Developing the ability to coordinate actions with the actions of a partner.

Material: Two identical mugs, four empty matchboxes.

Progress of the game: The players are divided into two teams, the players of each team line up in pairs in front of the line. To play, take two identical mugs, fill them with water and place them in front of the first couples. 10-15 m in front of the teams, one circle with a diameter of 1 m is drawn, two matchboxes are placed in each circle.

At the command of the leader, the players of the first pair take one mug together (in any way) and run forward, trying not to spill the water. Having reached the circle, they also carefully place the mug in the circle and take the boxes. The box is placed on the shoulder, the couple joins hands, connecting them crosswise, and runs to the starting mark, carrying the boxes on their shoulders. The second pair does everything in the reverse order - and so on until all participants have completed the distance.

Agile dragons

Goal: Development of speed and dexterity of movements. Developing the ability to coordinate actions with the actions of partners.

Progress of the game: The guys line up in two columns. Everyone holds the person in front by the belt. They represent dragons. The first in the column is the dragon's head, the last is the tail, and at the command of the leader, the dragons begin to move. The head's job is to catch the other dragon's tail. And the task of the tail is to escape from the head of the first dragon. The dragon's body should not be torn apart, i.e. players do not have the right to remove their hands. After catching the tail of another dragon, you can choose a new head and a new tail, and continue the game.

Golden Gate

There must be enough distance between the players so that a person can pass between them, at least bending over. The other team begins to move, bypassing each player of the first team in turn and each time passing through the gate formed by the hands of the players of the first team. The players of the second team hold hands, which cannot be separated! So, the second team finds itself either in the circle or outside it. The first team during the game says:

Golden Gate They don't always let you through. The first time is allowed, the second time is prohibited, and the third time we will not let you through!

At the last word, the team abruptly gives up. If someone from the second team is inside, he leaves the chain and stands in the center of the circle. Naturally, the second players try to be outside the circle at the last word, but it is not always possible. The game can be complicated by the fact that the players of the first team speak their words with only their lips, looking carefully at each other, and suddenly give up. When one person remains in the second team, but is recognized as the winner, and the teams change roles.

relay races

Inventory

: three volleyballs, three hoops and a turning sign; 2 mops, 2 pucks (lightweight, not hockey), six cones; ribbons for tying legs, 2 sheets of paper, 2 markers or 2 pencils, 2 books, 2 small balls, rope,

  1. Planting vegetables

The props needed for this relay are three volleyballs, three hoops, and a turn sign.

The judge lines up the participants in one line, parallel to the starting line (he then uses this formation in all subsequent games).

At a distance of several meters from this line there is a turning sign, and before it: three hoops (there should be a distance of three meters between each of them).

The task of the first participant standing in the line: taking three volleyballs in his hands, quickly run up to the hoops and put one ball into each of them. After this, without the balls, the first participant reaches the turning point, runs around it and returns to the rest of the players to touch the next participant standing in the line with his hand. The task of the next player (second) will be the same run, but first he must run to the turning sign, and only then to the hoops from which he must pick up the balls. The second participant gives the balls to the third player standing in a line. The third participant repeats the actions of the first, and the fourth - the second, etc.

  1. Dragon

Offer participants a competition for the fastest Snake Gorynych. Making the Serpent Gorynych is not difficult. Three participants stand side by side, put their hands on each other’s belts or shoulders. The legs of the participant standing in the middle are connected to the legs of the partners standing on the sides. This makes a total of four legs. At the signal, the Serpent Gorynych begins to move, with the outermost participants flapping their arms like wings. Having run, galloped, and reached the finish line, the troika turns around, returns and passes the baton to the next participants. It is better to tie the legs of all threes before the start of the relay.

  1. Population census

Teams compete on a relay basis. Participants run to where there is a sheet of paper and a thick marker. The person who has reached the point writes down the name of any member of his team (except himself and those already written down) and, taking the marker, runs back and passes it to another participant. It's very funny how the last players struggle to remember whose name has not yet been written down. The game allows you to better remember the names in the new company.

  1. Waiters

Two teams are given a round tray and 15-20 empty plastic bottles of different sizes. The first player takes the tray with one hand, places one bottle on it, puts the other hand behind his back and begins to move towards the table located at the opposite end of the room. Having reached the table, the “waiter” puts down the bottle and runs back to the team with the tray. The second player repeats these actions. It is prohibited to hold the bottle with your hand. When a bottle falls, the player returns to the team and takes another one. The team that serves their table the fastest wins.

  1. Book races

The relay requires two small balls and two books. Two teams are formed and line up on the starting line. Each team player races with a ball between their knees and a book on their head. If the book falls, the racer stops, puts the book on his head and continues moving. The fastest team wins.

  1. Relay race “Find a pair”.

All players need to collect one shoe and put them in a large bag, each team has its own. Team members take turns running to the laugh, looking for their shoe, putting on their shoes, returning to their team and passing the baton to the next player. They play in this way until all participants are wearing shoes.

  1. Curling

Equipment: mop, puck (light, not hockey), three cones.

Opposite the starting line, the judge places three cones on the ground (perpendicular to the line), and behind them places a turning sign (branch, flag, etc.).

At the referee’s signal, the participants take turns, holding a mop in their hands, with which they must move the puck lying on the ground, and move to the cones as quickly as possible. Then they “snake” around these cones (along with the mop and puck), get to the turning sign, go around it and return (ignoring the cones) to the line.

Notes

Participants must pass the mop with the puck behind the starting line, and not before it.

  1. "Snake". The whole team lines up in one column, one after another, everyone puts their hands on the shoulders of those in front and squats together - the snake is ready. The team's task is to cover a given path there and back without uncoupling or getting up.
  2. "Spider". Four players compete, standing with their backs to each other and clasping their hands at the elbows. You need to run a given distance there and back.
  3. Tug of war. Teams compete standing with their backs to each other, and the rope is passed between their legs.
  4. Bean relay

To carry out the relay you will need two small bags of beans. Two teams line up on the starting line; to the right of the first player of each team lies a prepared bag on a chair. The first players grab the bag of beans with their chins without using their hands, run the distance and come back, lowering the bag onto a chair. Then the next player takes the bag with his chin and runs in turn. The most agile and fastest team wins.

We wish you, we wish you... That the best prize goes to us! And, competing with you, We will remain friends. Let the struggle rage stronger, And our friendship along with it.

We came to you to win, We want to be the best! You, rival, don’t look askance, You, rival, smile! It is known that someone will win, but the weakest will fly by.

Swap places

Props for the relay race: a hoop, a soccer ball, a cube (made of light but non-breakable material).

At a distance of several meters from the starting line, the referee places a hoop on the ground and places a soccer ball inside it.

At the judge’s signal, the participant standing first in the column with a cube in his hands runs to the hoops, puts the cube in it and takes the ball. After that, he runs to the column and passes the ball to the next participant standing behind him in the column. The player (second) runs with the ball in his hands to the hoop, takes the cube from it, and leaves the ball. This participant then returns to the other players and gives the cube to the next player, who is third in the column. This player repeats the actions of the first participant, and the participant who was fourth in the column repeats the actions of the player who occupied the second position in the line, etc.

  1. Night orienteering

At a distance of 10 meters from the start, a stool is placed and the first participants close their eyes. At the signal, they must walk or run to the stool, walk around it and, returning on command, pass the baton to the next participants, who are already standing blindfolded. And so does the whole team. While moving, the team can help its participants by shouting: “to the right,” “to the left,” “forward,” “backward.” And since all commands are shouting at the same time, the player must make out which calls apply specifically to him. When the last player returns to the starting line, it is “day” for the entire team. For whom the “day” comes earlier, they won.

  1. Sports game “A clever cabin boy”

Each team has 4 participants. Each participant must run along a rope (lying on the floor) with a plate on which a balloon lies.
