The war was over, it was time to enjoy the world, and the asceticism and minimalism of the 40s were replaced by the fashion for full skirts, bright expensive fabrics and many carefully selected accessories in the 50s.

Where has the youth movement gone?

In the early 60s, the subculture almost ceased to exist after Nikita Khrushchev came to power. Then young people had many new privileges.

The dudes were against the gray masses and the system imposed by the government. They wanted to stand out from society and strived for freedom. However, there were no aggressive protests or uprisings. The younger generation was just having fun and leading a slightly different lifestyle. They didn't want to be like everyone else.
