Interesting puzzles about stairs

"Endless Staircase"

As a simple hint or task, you can use Penrose's Endless Staircase illusion.

Moving clockwise, a person on it will endlessly rise, and counterclockwise, he will descend. The most unusual thing is that at the end of the route, the person will end up at the same point from which he began the journey.

The riddle is in the form, not in the text

The hint may not be the text, but the form of the task. This way you can hide meaningless text or vice versa, for example, a crossword puzzle in a shape depicting a staircase. The players' task will not be to solve the crossword puzzle, but to understand that the clue is its shape.

Puzzle about the stairs

There is such a task about stairs for children in the comic quest “Superheroes” from MasterFuns. It is necessary to remove the extra letters - the names of the depicted elements of the comic book, so that only the name of the cache remains.

This is interesting! A selection of puzzles and riddles for the quest from MasterFuns scripts.

Simple or complex riddles. Balance

The riddles should not be too easy, otherwise the quest will become boring. But not too complicated, otherwise the participants, again, may lose interest in it. A riddle about a ladder for children should take into account their age, skills, and also the number of players. For example, whether they can read the assignments themselves or not. For more people, you can choose a more difficult riddle.

GAMES “IT’S TIME TO THINK”

WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?

One of the players thinks of something, writes it down (so that no one sees) and then asks the others in turn what it looks like. After listening to everyone, he shows his recording. Now the fun begins: everyone must defend their hypothesis.

Let's say one said that what was planned looked like a cucumber, the second believed that it resembled a door, the third was sure that it was similar to the moon, the fourth chose a semicolon for comparison...

The entry is presented: “book”. Get to work, imagination!

- Just as there are many seeds in a cucumber, so there are many letters in a book... - The door... The door can be opened, and the book can be opened too! — The moon dispels darkness and illuminates our path. So is the book. - Semicolon... Long silence, no answer. You will have to pay a forfeit for an unsuccessful guess.

HIDDEN WORDS

The one who got to guess by lot leaves the room for a while, while everyone else agrees on what word to guess. Then he comes back and starts asking questions one after another; they can be anything; The number of questions should be agreed upon in advance. The one who is asked must answer quickly and be sure to use the hidden word in the answer.

It is clear that the respondents are trying to hide this word better, so that it does not stand out among others. By the way, this is not so easy - sometimes you involuntarily place special emphasis on the hidden word, or, on the contrary, pronounce it quickly, as if swallowing it, or hesitate for a moment before pronouncing it. But even if no one makes noticeable mistakes, the guesser still has the opportunity to cope with his task: if he is able to retain several answers in memory at once, then, by comparing them, he can see that some word is repeated everywhere.

The simplest words are chosen, those that can naturally sound in any phrase: yes, no, this, that, so, but, I, you, we.

For example, the word “this” is guessed.

— Did you come up with a difficult task for me? - Well, you will see for yourself when you guess. — Do you like going to the movies? - Yes, everyone loves it, not just me. — Will Spartak become the champion? - I somehow don’t believe in this...

And so on.

Sometimes the guesser quickly finds the hidden word - then the one on whom this word was guessed takes his place, and besides, he pays forfeit. The same is done in that case. If someone, while answering, makes a mistake and does not insert the required word into his answer, then the others must intervene and stop the game.

But sometimes the guesser fails to find the word within the required number of “moves” (or he guesses it incorrectly) - then he has to pay him a forfeit, and a new guesser is appointed again by lot.

WHY? WHERE? WHEN?

In this game, words are also thought of. But special words are homonyms, that is, those that have different meanings, but the same sound; Everyone is familiar with them – a braid, a bow, a leaf. The guesser first asks everyone the following question: “Why do you love him?” Everyone takes turns answering. Then everyone is asked the second question: “Where do you love him?” And finally the third: “when do you love him?” if a feminine word is intended, you must immediately tell the guesser about this so that he asks not about him, but about her. When answering questions, everyone can have in mind any of the meanings of homonym words.

Let's say we thought of the word “onion”.

- why do you love him? - Because he is useful. - Because it’s interesting to play with him - Because many legends have been invented about him - Because he’s so green... - Where do you love him? — In the garden — On the sports ground — In fried mushrooms — In the forest, where we play Indians — When do you love him? — In the summer — And I in the winter — When it’s flexible — When it’s in circles

The answers should be truthful and at the same time not too transparent. Those answering have to show resourcefulness and some imagination, and the questioner has to be quick-witted... They pay forfeits and appoint a new guesser in the same way as in the game with hidden words.

“YES” AND “NO” - SAY IT!

The one who guesses leaves the room, the rest guess either the name of some well-known object, or the name of a famous person. Having returned, the guesser offers questions to which the answer will only be yes or no.

So, let’s say, Pushkin was conceived. In order to quickly guess what is planned, it is important to pose questions skillfully.

- Name of the place? No - Human? yes - Is he still alive? No - Painter? No

And so on.

- Pushkin? Yes.

Then the person who was asked the last question goes to guess. If someone gets confused and answers no instead of yes, then he immediately replaces the guesser. You can play team against team, with penalty points. The guesser can ask no more than 20 questions. If he answers fewer questions, then the one who made the guess gets penalty points. If the person who made the wish cannot answer yes or no, but says I don’t know, he also receives a penalty point. Incorrect information is punishable by a penalty of 10 points.

5. maybe a person? Yes

6. is he a man? No 7. lives in our city? Yes 8. lives with you? Yes 9. is this your sister? No 10. Mom? No 11. grandma? Yes

CHARADES

A charade is a riddle in which a word is guessed, but it is not guessed at once, but in parts. Moreover, each part can be an independent word. Here is an example of a charade: the first part is a group of singers, the second is an insect, the whole is a Russian folk game with singing and dancing (round dance). Or again: the first part of the word is an imprint, the second is practically acquired knowledge and skills. The whole is a hunter tracking down an animal (pathfinder). Games of charades are a must for improvisation. Charades can be performed using pantomime or a short miniature. Humor and imagination turn charades into a fun theatrical performance. Usually the players are divided into two teams, each “thinking” of words in turn. Going out into the next room, the players come up with words and how to “play” it; the opponents must guess the word encrypted in the scene. The more invention and surprise, the more fun the performance is, causing laughter among both participants and spectators. Teenagers can come up with a word for the charade themselves and immediately “play” it.

GAMES “FUN”

DIFFERENCES IN NOISE

Each player receives from the presenter a piece of paper on which the name of a city is written. 5, 6, 7, 8 people receive the same name. Some, for example, Novosibirsk, others - Kyiv, others - Riga, etc. No one tells each other in advance what is written on his piece of paper. At the leader’s signal, everyone should begin to quietly shout out the name they have received, while simultaneously listening to whoever shouts out the same city in order to quickly unite with their partners in one group. At the beginning of the game, the host announces how many people will write the same name of the city. When the whole group has gathered, the guys raise their hands up. Those who manage to connect first are considered winners. If the children want to repeat the game, they receive from the presenter other names of cities (flowers, trees, animals, etc.) written on pieces of paper.

ONE LINE, BUT IN RHYME

Invite the guys to compose only one line - the second. And the first one will be offered in advance. We are giving the beginning of a couplet that needs to be completed. Ending M.B. different, the main thing is that the rhyme is observed.

1. The law is not written for fools Said the donkey, meeting with the fox. 2. A cow walked on the moon... 3. A sprat swam in a tomato... 4. Soup was made from an ax... 5. A dragonfly landed on a hat... 6. They tore off the dog’s tail... 7. We asked the parrot...

JOKES JOKES

Naughty HANDS, Naughty LEGS

Experiment one: legs together, press your side closer to the wall (and so that your leg is pressed too); Now try to lift your leg, not pressed against the wall, but so that you don’t tear yourself away from the wall.

Experiment two: stand in the doorway; spread your arms so that your wrists rest against the door frame - strongly, even stronger, as if you are trying to raise your arms above your head, but the frame does not let you! In this position, count to 50 (while pushing the frame as much as possible all the time), and then take a step forward, allowing your hands to behave as they want...

Tricks

—Who can drink water from a corked bottle? Turn the bottle upside down, pour water into the hole in the bottom and drink. — I spread my arms to the sides. I have a spot on my left. I can connect coins without bringing my hands together. Drop the coin from one hand and pick it up with the other hand, keeping your hands together. - I undertake to drink a glass of water not in the room, not outside, not standing, not lying down, not while walking! Stand on the threshold, lift yourself off the floor, resting your back on one door frame, feet on the other. In this position, you will be able to hold on perfectly to get drunk - Think of any number. Double it. Add 1 to the result. Multiply the result by 5. Discard all digits except the last one. Multiply the remaining number by it. Add up the numbers of the result. You got 7.

FUN EXPERIENCES

- Place 2 glasses on the table, put a sheet of paper on them and ask: if you put a third glass on top, will the sheet of paper withstand its weight? Fold a sheet of paper into an accordion shape. Now you can safely place the glass on it.

WHICH HAND IS THE COIN IN?

You need 2 coins: two-kopeck and three-kopeck. Do you offer someone:

- Here are two coins for you. Hold one in your left hand and the other in your right. I'm not looking. I can guess which is which. Do not believe? Can you count to twenty? Fine. Triple the number of kopecks in your right hand. The number of kopecks in the left hand is doubled. Add up what you got. How many? And now you can easily guess: if the number is even, then three kopecks in your left hand, and if it’s odd, in your right.

Invite someone to take a ten-kopeck piece in one hand and three kopecks in the other. Then offer to multiply what is in your right hand by 17. “Done,” the friend will answer. Then offer to multiply by 17 what is in your left hand. After this, without asking anything, you can accurately determine which coin is in which hand. People usually think longer when multiplying 17 by 3 rather than by 10.

MIRACLE ON THE LEG.

Put this paper figure in front of someone and suggest, after carefully examining it (do not pick it up!), to make the same one, he will most likely ask: is it possible to glue it together? A sheet of thick paper measuring approximately 10 by 15 cm is folded in half lengthwise. Three cuts are made across the fold line up to the fold line: on one side, one is exactly in the middle, on the other two, closer to the edges. Now rotate the part that is shaded in the figure 180 degrees around the fold line. All that remains is to bend the legs so that there is one narrow and one wide on each side.

Making and guessing riddles is a favorite pastime for many children. Riddles introduce children to the world around them, broaden their horizons, train resourcefulness and intelligence, observation and memory.

When selecting and using riddles, it is important to know what methods of encoding certain words or concepts are used in riddles.

In a riddle, only the signs of a particular object are often given, and the simplicity or complexity of the riddle depends on how many of these signs are given and to what extent they reveal the riddled object.

A lot of mysteries are built on allegories. These include riddles where the action or attribute of an object is compared with the same action or a similar attribute of another object, in most cases with a living creature.

Most often, riddles are asked orally according to a list compiled in advance. The one who gives the correct answer is awarded a known number of points (for example, from 3 to 6, depending on the complexity of the riddle).

The winner is the one who scores the most points.

Sometimes riddles are written on separate sheets of paper or cards. The guys take turns pulling out pieces of paper and guessing the riddles that are written on them. The sheets must be returned to the presenter (or a specially designated person on duty) along with an oral answer, on the basis of which points are awarded.

Riddles can also be used to make board games. The texts of the riddles for this game are written on separate cards, and the drawings that are the answer to these riddles are placed in the cells of large cards (for example, six to nine drawings per card). They play like regular lotto. The presenter draws cards with riddles and reads them.

The players work together to solve riddles, and the one who has a picture on the card with the answer to this riddle covers it with a card. The winner is the one who covers all the pictures first on his card. To make the game, you can use die-cut or decals that are commercially available.

For ease of use, we have divided all the riddles into topics. This selection is conditional, and, of course, neither the list of topics, nor, especially, the selection of riddles on these topics in any way claims to be complete.

Little tricks

Little tricks help keep children interested in the game. Try to add some variety to each of them, for example, during the game, appoint the child as a “judge” who must determine who won and the end time of the game, or offer to reach the top of the head with his hand. In the process of working with children, it is necessary to resort to various tricks. After all, they are used in television advertising to interest the buyer, and in other advertisements - all in order to capture our attention and stimulate interest. When you ask a child to pretend to be a giant and take seven giant steps, of course, first of all, he is pretending to be a giant, but at the same time he is using his mathematical and linguistic skills. This trick also allows you to attract his attention. If you want your child to be interested and engaged in games, he must take action. By watching others from the outside, the baby will never receive as much pleasure and benefit as if he had participated in the events. If you see that your child is bored, ask him to jump fifty times. Count with him as he jumps. Clap your hands to maintain a steady pace. Join your child and then hit the floor together! Another trick to relieve him of boredom is to have him say some text in a whisper or in a high and then low voice, quickly or slowly, or let him come up with his own manner of speech. Learning is a fun game, especially if the teacher is an active and interested participant.
