Game duration
A quest is a very exciting activity, both for the one who guesses and for the one who comes up with riddles. However, the game is not called “12 Notes” for nothing. no more than 12 riddles from all that you have come up with (less is possible).
A good game around an apartment can take 15 minutes, no more than an hour and a half, a quest around the city can take 1-2 hours, and a quest in another country can take several days.
In any case, remember that players may have other plans for this day.
Riddles for a quest about household items
Let's return to the discussion of “ordinary” riddles. Humanity has come up with a huge variety of riddles, so choosing the right ones for your quest won’t be difficult. There is a riddle about almost any household item, and more than one. You can easily find them on the Internet. But to make your task a little easier, we have made our own selection of riddles about various objects. We used some of these riddles in our quests. In addition, in our selection of riddles you will also find options for their original use, similar to what we described in the section “a riddle as a basis for a more complex task.”

The tasks for the game “12 Notes” can be very different:

- puzzles,
- agent,
For example, when you need to find a specific person and download their password.
-battleship and its analogues,
So, in “Questika” - a variation of the game 12 notes, an example of notes for children in this style would be the note that you now see on the right.
In it you need to highlight gifts under certain numbers in a different color. If done correctly, you can read where the next note is hidden.
Have you tried it? What did you get?
That's right, the next note is waiting for the child at the window.
- puzzles,
- Crosswords,
- tasks with props,
an example of such a task from the New Year's scenario on the right.
Players need to connect the bulbs of the New Year's garland by numbers to find out what object it decorates.
It is in it that the next note awaits them.
- anagrams and other text puzzles,
For example, this note from John Silver from the Treasure Quest script requires you to rearrange the letters correctly.
And then the incomprehensible “book of toads” will turn into a trunk.
Of course, you can use this note when playing “12 notes” on the street or in nature.
hidden notes.
To read a note, you need to do something with it.
For example, melt a piece of ice in which it is located. Or pick up the key if the note is in a locked box.
Birthday quest tasks
A large number of children gather just in time to celebrate children's birthdays. Of course, you can organize an exciting adventure just for the birthday boy, but it’s much more fun to share the joy and fun with friends. You need to come up with interesting tasks, prepare a gift for the hero of the occasion, as well as incentive souvenirs for his assistants.
The theme of the quest can also be different:
- pirates;
- Indians;
- sea;
- princess adventures;
- rainbow ponies;
- flowers;
- fairies;
- magic;
- cartoon stories;
- dudes;
- Goodwin and Ellie;
- Alice in Wonderland.
Pirate quest tasks
In fact, the tasks can be completely different - solve charades, puzzles or crosswords, draw a picture or dance. Their special highlight is that to read the note you will need to not only find it, but also be able to read it. For example, the text is pressed with a pen without ink, written with a candle, or applied with a brush dipped in sugar syrup. Mirror phrases are also popular. In order to understand what is written, you will have to carefully shade the piece of paper with a pencil, hold it next to a candle flame, or hold it up to a mirror.
Tasks with fire are suitable for older children – 10-12 years old. In this case, adults must be present nearby.
"Hot or Cold" Challenge
You can point out the location of the cache using a children's game. Hide the next clue or prize in a room or yard, indicate a place for participants to search and suggest the direction of movement using words:
- frost and cold;
- Cold;
- cooler;
- warmer;
- warm;
- hot;
- quite hot.
"Writers"
Participants in the game are required to take turns writing adjectives on a piece of paper. At the same time, do this so that the already written words are not visible. To do this, it is recommended to take a large sheet of paper, write a word on each line and wrap it with an accordion. The number of words required depends on the text. Then they are written in turn into an already invented story about the birthday boy. As a rule, the result is a very funny essay.
Example text for a girl:
“Once upon a time there was (...) a princess. One day she woke up in a (...) mood one (...) morning. The (...) princess went for a walk in (...) the forest. And I met there (...) and (...) a wolf. He looked (...) at (...) the princess. And he said what she was like (...), (...) and (...). Then (...) the princess thanked (...) the wolf and walked (...) home.”

“(...) the prince wanted to go on (...) a journey. He thought for a long time whether to take (...) the bear and (...) the bunny with him. Finally, I made (...) a decision and rode (...) the bike alone. His mood was (...), (...) and (...). So he hummed (...) a song. (...) the journey soon ended, but the impression of it remained (...) and (...).”
Game "12 notes"
To be honest, I got a little more than twelve notes. This happened because as a starting point I used a letter from Santa Claus, in which four days earlier he secretly told his son that a surprise awaited him from his parents. How he knew about this, I have no idea. Apparently, Santa Claus looks after not only children, but also adults. So, on the back of Santa Claus’ letter I wrote the following text:
To find the first note, you must play a melody.
It was as simple as finding the fifth note using the clues left in the fourth:
Without me, something delicious will melt. And even in the hot summer, the one who puts water in me will receive real ice.
Did you guess it? Then the following note, which did not turn out very well:
I have a good reason for hanging by the window. Because I am.
The note was hidden behind the back of a photograph of Big Ben.
Previously, you and I sang songs very loudly together. But I'm broken. My dear, Your note is below me.
This is the truth, not a lie: You will find me in your jacket pocket.
The answer to this strange riddle in the photo:
If you suddenly have problems with tasks for the game, you can ask for help in the comments. Describe, or better yet, photograph the place or object in which you will hide the note, and I will try to come up with a poem.
57 comments:
I hoped that my son would read, because he couldn’t solve riddles at all, but the little one would guess what she could. And she says, I’m like big, I’m 5 years old already, and this is not a normal game! But dad was stunned by the idea, and he and Sasha ran through the house back and forth ten times from floor to floor, hihihihi.
Third stage
In the teapot, the children find a package with a note from the wise Owl.
The presenter reads a message to the participants:
“Dear children! At this stage, several clues await you at once, but only one of them is correct. The code will tell you which one it is. You will find out the code if you correctly count all the flowers on the windowsills in the apartment (all the steps, all the benches, all the books, etc.)”
Kids count and determine the correct number and the correct clue. If, as in our example, you took a refrigerator, then the children go to the refrigerator.
