Detailed description of the quest
♦ Age category: from 8 to 10 years (inclusive). ♦ Travel time: up to an hour. But it all depends on the ingenuity and number of participants. ♦ Purpose of the quest: ◊ search for a gift - after completing all the tasks, the participant (participants) will find a treasured cache in which the organizer will hide a gift. The quest is perfect for giving a gift on St. Nicholas Day, New Year, Christmas, or for having a fun time during the New Year holidays. ◊ entertaining - the quest can be held as a separate competition to diversify the leisure time of a group of children, dividing them into teams, on New Year's Eve or a party, the end result of which will also be the presentation of a gift. ♦ Venue: house, apartment. It is also possible to conduct it in an educational institution (school, gymnasium), cafe, shopping center. ♦ Number of participants: up to 14 people ◊ single passage - solving the quest by one participant. ◊ group (team) passage - several participants solve all the tasks together, or by dividing into teams. The participation of 2 teams is possible, with a maximum of 7 people each. ♦ Tasks: 15 tasks for the New Year theme. Tasks can be divided at your discretion between teams (some are easier to give, others are more difficult), or you can remove at your discretion those that are not suitable, or if there are too many of them. In this case, the semantic connection will not be broken. ♦ Necessary props: pencil or pen for writing quest answers, printed quest material on a color printer, 15 pcs. regular postal envelopes (but not necessary, assignments can simply be rolled up into a tube). ♦ Secret places: it is necessary to hide tasks in the following secret places: ◊ Door; ◊ Mirror; ◊ Freezer; ◊ Glass; ◊ Table; ◊ Lamp; ◊ Window; ◊ Flower; ◊ Chair; ◊ Bucket; ◊ Bed; ◊ Pillow; ◊ Picture; ◊ Battery; ◊ Christmas tree. ♦ Genre: the quest requires active action in searching for new clues—after each solved riddle, you need to look for the next hiding place. ♦ Audience (who is this quest for): the quest is perfect for children aged 8 to 10 years old who can read and count. It is possible for younger children to participate in the quest, but then the entire history and tasks of the quest will need to be read to parents, or older quest participants, or the organizers of a children's holiday - a New Year's party. Disguised Snow Maiden (in a thin, unnatural voice): Hello, girls and boys! You called me, here I come!
Santa Claus : Who are you? For some reason I don’t recognize you...
Disguised Snow Maiden: Oh, grandpa, you’re already quite old and blind, that’s why you didn’t recognize your own granddaughter! Look carefully, it's me, Snow Maiden!
Santa Claus looks around in confusion, and then turns to the children for help.
Santa Claus : Kids, help me, please, without glasses I can’t see well at all and I can’t accurately determine whether this is my granddaughter or not. Find three differences! This must be done in exactly three minutes, otherwise I will be forced to recognize her as real and we will spend the entire New Year with this Snow Maiden. Can you help?

Task No. 1 “Find three differences!”
While the disguised Snow Maiden dances and makes faces, the children look for three differences. While dancing, she invites Santa Claus and some of the children or parents to dance with her, involving her in a funny dance. Children must guess the following differences:
1) Gender is male, not female;
2) work gloves, not knitted, warm ones;
3) on the feet under the fur coat - slippers, instead of boots.
Note: If the children are too small, Santa Claus gently prompts. For example: What’s in her arms, children? I don’t see... What is she wearing?.. and so on.
The disguised Snow Maiden is offended: You are so cunning!
Santa Claus : And how smart they are!
Disguised Snow Maiden: Well, okay. I confess. I'm not myself. That is, I am not her! And I hid your gifts too! (sticks out tongue). And you will never find them unless you solve my riddles and complete my very difficult tasks. You are ready?
Santa Claus: Oh, you ugly thing! Look, what did you come up with, hide the gifts! But we can pass all the tests, guys?
The children answer in unison: Yes, we can!
Disguised Snow Maiden: Then hold on! Here is my first and very difficult task!
Quest plot
Many children and some adults believe that Father Christmas (or Santa Claus) actually exists. Some people believe less, others more. And this belief is directly proportional to the number of gifts under the tree. But no one knows how Santa Claus hides these gifts under the tree so that no one notices him?! How does he do this and what other secrets is he hiding from us? Let's try to unravel all the secrets of Santa Claus, maybe they will lead us to the answer... This quest for children is entertaining and educational in nature. It lifts the veil for them, seemingly quite familiar and ordinary details, but which few people think about, and few people know about them. And of course, along with entertainment, children gain knowledge and excitement in solving tasks and striving to find the main New Year's gift, which was prepared for them by the assistant Santa Claus - the organizer of the quest
