Children need to not only be raised, but also protected from injustice. Almost 50 countries around the world celebrate Children's Day on June 1st. There is another holiday, World Children's Day - according to the decision of the UN, it is celebrated on November 20.
Be that as it may, traditionally everyone celebrates the “main children's day” on the first day of summer. There is very little left until it, but you will definitely have time to prepare your marketing activities for this date (or the next day after it) if you use our tips.
What summer crafts can be made for Children's Day for a kindergarten or school camp?
Children's Day is a holiday designed to help people around the world remember how important it is to care and love children. On this day, it is customary to organize various competitions and entertainment in city squares, in houses of culture and children's creativity. Many city authorities present gifts, both sweet and necessary.
The Children's Protection holiday is very important and therefore should be given special attention in any educational institutions, for example, in kindergartens and schools. Children's Day is celebrated on June 1, and at this time special “short-day” camps are opened at schools, and kindergartens still continue to operate.
Crafts that adults can do with children on this day help “little individuals” learn about their importance in this world, feel attention and get pleasant emotions. Crafts on this occasion can be presented at an exhibition, given to parents or used for decoration.
Crafts can be different: large, small, voluminous, flat, decorative, hanging, soft toys and much more. You can make toys, framed pictures, drawings and much more from:
- Wood, plywood and cardboard
- Plain, colored, corrugated paper

- Natural materials: cones, acorns, leaves, branches, coffee beans, straw, citrus peels, cinnamon sticks and much more.

Design tips.
Paint the background with gouache (dipping a sponge into colored “gouache” water). Circle the children's figures with bright markers, it will turn out very elegant.
The fields can be filled in as follows:
- GIRL ON A SKATE - holiday program and (or) congratulations from the administration;
- BOY WITH ICE CREAM - holiday menu (or poems about childhood);
- BOY WITH A YO-YO - names of games and competitions, and later add the names of the winners;
- GIRL WITH A PALETTE - the names of the winners of the drawing competition on paper (to hold the competition in advance, and sum up the results on June 1) or on the asphalt (to be held directly on June 1).

In our pro-gymnasium (school-kindergarten), kindergarten graduates “smoothly flow” into the school camp (in one group there are children 7-9 years old). The newspaper was made for them at the request of the teachers, i.e. there was a specific order: specific fields to fill out, plus simplicity of design (we wanted to prepare a surprise without involving children). At first I didn’t particularly like the layout, but for lack of anything else and, most importantly, time, I still took up this wall newspaper. Everything turned out to be simple, fast, bright and beautiful. And they decided to fill it out not with poems and congratulations, but on colored hearts, each parent wrote a note to their child like “you are the best son in the world, I love you very much.” In general, for the average kindergarten group, this layout turned out to be just a great find. How to apply for the competition:
- Download the Regulations of the competition for Children’s Day “In the World of Happy Childhood” and familiarize yourself with it in detail.
- Download and fill out the APPLICATION FORM
- Write a letter to the postal address [email protected] The completed application, competition entry(s) and a copy of the receipt must be attached to the letter. Please indicate the name of the competition in the subject of the email.
- After sending the letter, you will receive an automatic response stating that the letter has been received, if you have not received an automatic response, check, you may have made a mistake in writing our email address, copy it and send the letter again.
