Sensation is a popular electronic music festival that takes place every year. Initially, a private event for electronic dance music lovers was held in Amsterdam and was organized by ID&T. The Dutch Dance Party took place exclusively at the Amsterdam Arena for five years until 2005, and the festival is now held in many different European and several non-European countries.

Story
The Sensation festival was held in 2000 and 2001 as a separate event uniting dance music lovers. The event was later expanded into two annual events known as "Sensation Black" and "Sensation White". This was done to differentiate the music: Sensation Black focuses more on darker and heavier music such as Hardstyle and Hardcore, while Sensation White specializes in trance music.
Each year, Sensation also releases two double CDs (black and white) and two singles, which serve as the festival's anthem. In 2008, the names of both events were changed: they are now called "Sensation" (formerly "Sensation White") and "Black" (formerly "Sensation Black").
In 2005, Sensation White also took place in Belgium and Germany. In 2006, ID&T organized the international tour "Sensation International", which began in Antwerp. In 2008, Sensation White was held at the Petersburg sports and concert complex in St. Petersburg, and the New Year's version of the festival was held in Melbourne.
In 2021, it was announced that the July event would be the last festival to take place in Amsterdam, with all subsequent events taking place outside of Holland. The last Amsterdam Sensation took place on Saturday 8 July (breaking the tradition of always taking place on the first Saturday in July) and attracted an audience of over 50 thousand people.

Concerts of comedian Ruslan Bely are canceled at the request of the authorities. He relates it to his jokes
Comedian Ruslan Bely said that in recent months, three of his five planned concerts have been cancelled. In two cases, he was rejected at the last moment by site administrators without any arguments. In St. Petersburg, Bely obtained an explanation from the city authorities.
“We staged five test concerts this fall, I wanted to test my relevance,” the comedian said in the “Bukharog Live” podcast. — We took different sites - a large one in St. Petersburg, a little smaller in Kirov and Kaluga. Three of the five concerts were cancelled. Two under the motto - Ruslan Bely is not allowed. Of course, there was no official information, I am conveying to you behind-the-scenes conversations. But in St. Petersburg there was an official refusal. We completely sold “all the tickets”, we thought everything was going fine. And at some point the platform tells us - it’s impossible. We do everything in white, everything is legally clear, we have an agreement, prepayments, we say - I mean it’s impossible, what kind of reason is this strange. But we still have to lose the concert, we turned on the fool and demanded an official reason. I even thought that the concert would take place, we were flying to St. Petersburg, we arrived, and on the website of the city’s Committee for Cultural Affairs on the eve of the concert on the same day, an announcement appeared that the concert of Ruslan Bely had not been approved.” The message on the Committee’s website has already been deleted, the page with the register of uncoordinated events has also been deleted, but the information has been preserved on the site’s page.
The comedian himself attributes this to the fact that someone did not like his videos on YouTube with jokes about power - in particular, the “I am one of mine” concert. In it, Bely ridiculed the statement of the Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, who ordered to check the voting on Channel One, as a result of which Manizha went to Eurovision. “Valentina, are you the only one interested in this vote?” the comedian jokes at the performance. In addition, there were jokes about the ex-Minister of Culture of Crimea swearing, the annexation of the peninsula in 2014, and “bloodthirsty deputies” passing laws under which anyone can go to prison.
Bely also joked about the persecution of Morgenstern, although at the time of the release of the concert, MMA fighters demanded that the performer be banned; the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, had not yet gotten involved in this.
Bely also connects another of his speeches, entitled “Why I Grew a Mustache,” with the cancellation of concerts, in which he talks about Putin, Navalny, rallies and court cases.
“It seems to me that there is some kind of attitude that I am an undesirable artist, apparently on some kind of list. I heard that there are lists of artists - yellow and red. Yellow ones are “incomprehensible”, red ones are those who are prohibited. No official told me anything. But it seems like this initiative comes from the presidential administration, and it’s incredibly difficult to get out of it. <Actor Pavel> Derevianko was included in this list, and a very big director went somewhere to pay his respects for him.”
Cancellations of concerts have a big impact on finances, says Bely, and this is part of the plan to put pressure on artists. “You rent a space, you invest in advertising and in the end you end up with money,” explains the artist. He also said that along with the concerts, Bely’s participation in one of the episodes of “Evening Urgant” was canceled: “They also wrote: “unfortunately, no.”
Earlier it was reported that actors who supported Alexei Navalny and the protests were no longer invited to roles in films, TV series and other projects. Interlocutors of the BBC Russian Service, working in high positions at Gazprom Media, said that this winter the holding company has updated “stop lists” of actors whom producers and directors are prohibited from inviting to new projects.
In recent years, law enforcement agencies have become increasingly interested in comedians. In 2021, the police briefly put comedian Danila Poperechny on the wanted list after State Duma deputy Vitaly Milonov complained about his “Popculture” video. The latter also filed a lawsuit against Poperechny, but the court rejected it.
In January 2021, a resident of Orekhovo-Zuev complained against stand-up comedian Alexander Dolgopolov for insulting the feelings of believers. The reason was a joke that Jesus should have been called Bogdan, since this is the ideal name for a God-given child. Dolgopolov was forced to leave the country for Israel for six months.
On August 30, 2021, the Ministry of Internal Affairs banned stand-up comedian and Belarusian citizen Idrak Mirzalizadeh from entering Russia for life, recognizing him as a threat to national security because of a joke about Russians, mattresses and shit. Before that, he served his sentence, spending 10 days in a special detention center. Because of this joke, he was attacked on the street and hit on the head. The police were not looking for the attackers. Now Mirzalizadeh is not in Russia.
The interest of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is fueled by propagandists, who often begin the persecution themselves. One of them is Vladimir Solovyov, who made criticism of comedians one of the main topics of his YouTube streams, coloring minor stories with new epithets. These stories are picked up by various groups on Telegram, a stir is created, after which the Ministry of Internal Affairs makes sudden decisions - for example, on the deportation of comedian Mirzalizadeh.
After him, Soloviev “took on” comedian Alexei Kvashonkin, once again taking the joke out of context and presenting it as Russophobic. So far, nothing is known about the reaction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to Kvashonkin’s speeches, however, the administration of Stand Up Club #1, just in case, hid all episodes of the improvisational show “Poraraz Birazza”, where the comedians joked quite sharply, leaving only the episode from Minsk - this is where the joke voiced by Solovyov is heard . Three of the four participants in this show are Idrak Mirzalizadeh, Alexey Kvashonkin and Alexander Dolgopolov.

After Radio Record decided to move the iconic annual festival to Moscow last year, there was a wave of indignation among fans on the Internet. For many, the country's main dance event was invariably associated with the White Nights of St. Petersburg.

On this magical night, the arena will turn into an amusement park for adults: a giant carousel stage will rotate in the center, and the hall will be filled with images of the Moulin Rouge, a burlesque show and the atmosphere of an old tent. All technical equipment for the show came from Amsterdam, the birthplace of the festival. For the fourth day at the Olimpiyskiy, specialists from all over the world have been installing sound and lighting equipment and preparing a laser show, which, as the organizers promise, risks becoming the best dance show in the country for the ninth time.
To get to the “white party” you will have to shell out about 4.5 thousand rubles per person. But the categories of tickets are different: those accustomed to service and an individual approach are offered tickets for 120 thousand rubles for a company of four people. For this money, in addition to exclusive and comfortable premium space on the podium with a fantastic view of the stage, upholstered furniture and special services, guests will be offered premium drinks, fruit and canapés, as well as the possibility of a free parking space. According to the organizers, this Sensation will be the last one held in Moscow. Starting next year, the country's main dance event will move to its homeland - St. Petersburg.
