It so happened that last week I myself used this idea for the first time, although I have been writing about money pictures for a long time. And the other day we were going to my friend’s birthday, and since the birthday girl wanted to receive money (I try to take into account a person’s wishes regarding a gift), it was decided to present it.

But when I told my husband that we would just give money, he was indignant. He said: “What, are you writing a blog about original congratulations and are you going to present banknotes in a postcard?”

Of course, it was a joke, but, you know, for some reason I felt a little ashamed. Indeed, it turns out that I’m telling you about various original gifts, but I don’t use them myself. It’s not good somehow...

And I decided to make, albeit a very simple, but money picture with my own hands. What if this idea is useful to someone? Moreover, I did it for exactly 15 minutes, although this was my first time doing this. At the same time, I became convinced that everyone can do this kind of “art” :-).

So, our picture of money will depict a “money flower” - this is the first thing that came to my mind, because I was preparing a gift for a girl.

DIY money painting: a simple and quick option!

Photo frame – I bought A3 size

The banknotes that you are going to hand over, a stapler, and safety pins are better like those in the picture (I didn’t have those, I took them with colored heads).

I also used a photo of a friend for the center of the money flower, but I admit that not everyone may have a photo of the birthday boy, so you can use colored thick paper for these purposes or cut out a beautiful flower from a card, magazine, etc. to put in the center flower.

We take the bills and fold them like this.

Don't worry about the money - they can be easily straightened, and minor punctures that we will make with safety pins and a stapler will not affect their value.

For the background of the money picture, I decided to use the backing that came with the photo frame. It turned out to be dense, so it was convenient to attach banknotes to it with safety pins. But you can take colored cardboard of a suitable color and size.

Next, lay out the stem and side petals from the bills. It is convenient to use a stapler here, because... the distance to the edge is small.

Then we lay out the flower itself, placing in the center a photo cut out in the form of a circle or another element that you prepared for the center of the flower.

After that, I secured all the bills with four safety pins. This is easy to do because... The bills overlap one another.

In the end I got this picture.

Next, carefully insert our picture into the frame, press it with glass and that’s it - the gift is ready.
