Children's pajama party. How to throw a pajama party. What to do at a pajama party. Pajama Party Script

What could be better for a child than having fun without having to comply with the rules of behavior in his favorite pajamas in bed? For a perfect holiday, you need to add to this description a cheerful company, goodies and entertainment. This is exactly how pajama parties work. Parents will also appreciate such children's parties - you don't have to do your hair, you don't have to worry about clothes, you don't have to monitor your child's behavior, because fooling around at a pajama party is the main rule. In this article, we will tell you in detail how to organize a pajama party for your children.

Pajama party photo

The kids are growing up, and it’s becoming more and more difficult to come up with something interesting... I don’t remember where the idea of holding a pajama party came from, I only remember that the first reaction to this was: “This is not real!” But the thought stuck...

As usual, I scoured the Internet in search of information. I found out that pajama parties came to us from America. They have their own traditions: as a rule, it’s a bachelorette party, everyone wears pajamas, sleeps on the floor, before bedtime light snacks are offered (ice cream in a bucket, popcorn, etc.), and in the morning breakfast, entertainment must include fighting pillows, discussing interesting topics and falling asleep to videos.

Since it is recommended to invite only close friends to this kind of event, our invitation list was limited to five girls. This time the daughter took a direct part in preparing the holiday.

First of all we made invitations

. The invitations themselves were tied to the hand-sewn sleep masks.

On the back of our invitations there was an appeal to parents:

Dear parents! We hope that you will let your daughter stay with us for the night. Only girls are invited. Since everyone will be sleeping on the floor, make sure you have a sleeping bag. We have a pajama parade planned, and by “pajamas” we mean any kind of sleepwear. Light snacks will be offered throughout the evening and breakfast in the morning. You will receive your children back approximately at 12:00 the next day.

We handed out the invitations two weeks in advance so that the guests could prepare.

Below is a list of games and entertainment

. We prepared the necessary props and supplies for them.

GAMES AND ENTERTAINMENT
Where there is something to say, I give comments in italics.
"Pajama fashion show"

You will need a blanket of a bright color, different from the other blankets and blankets previously laid on the floor. This blanket will serve as a podium for everyone to take turns showing off their pajamas. You can choose a presenter who will comment on the outfits. If you select music for this competition in advance, the parade will turn into a fashion show.

They changed into pajamas, but didn’t get to the fashion show - they got carried away with something else. I still needed to control the process at this stage...

"Pillow fight"

This is also a traditional pajama party activity. The name is scary, but if the game has rules, everything will be fine. 1. Place a hoop on the floor. Rivals stand in it, holding pillows in their hands. Immediately warn that it is forbidden to hit someone in the face. The winner is the one who knocks the opponent out of the circle. Be sure to choose physically equal opponents. 2. To play you will need soft toys. Each team takes an equal number of “shells” and the battle begins. The team that cannot fight back is considered the loser. 3. Play in twos. A hoop is placed on the floor. Each participant takes his own pillow and stands in the hoop on one leg. Objective: Knock down your opponent so that he stands on both feet. Final fight: the winner from one pair fights the winner from the other.

They fought with pillows, but without rules.

Piggly-Wiggly (hide and seek in sleeping bags)

Players lie down on top of their sleeping bags. The driver leaves the room. Everyone is hiding in other people's sleeping bags. The driver returns, sits on top of one of the sleeping bags and says: “Piggly-Wiggly.” The one inside grunts. The driver guesses who is in the sleeping bag. If he is right, the one in the sleeping bag becomes the driver. If he makes a mistake, he does the same with another sleeping bag.

Everyone, including me, liked it! It is completely impossible to guess who is in the sleeping bag based on the “grunt”.

"Signaling"

The children leave the room. One stays and hides a timer set for a few minutes. Everyone goes back and tries to find the timer before it goes off. The finder gets a prize and hides the timer. If the timer rings before it is found, then the person who hid it receives the prize. For greater effect, you can search in a dark room using flashlights.

We planned to use a mobile phone as a timer. As far as I know, this has not been played. By the way, we did not prepare prizes - my daughter was against competitions.

"Manicure bottle"

Everyone sits in a circle, spinning a bottle of nail polish in the center of the circle. When the bottle stops, the person it points to must paint their nails with that color. You can use polishes of different colors and paint one nail at a time, then in the end everyone will have a multi-colored manicure.

We decided that we would get a manicure and a face mask. Since we didn’t want problems such as strong odors, complaints from parents, or the possibility of spilling polish, we decided to limit ourselves to nail stickers. However, it didn’t come to a manicure, and the stickers were given to the girls to take with them. For a face mask we had the Garnier 3 in 1 Cleanse. I want to say that sour cream would still be better. Firstly, it’s okay if it stays on your face longer (in a large group it’s difficult to keep the action time), secondly, it washes off better (either because you kept the mask on your face longer than expected, or because , which were smeared with a thick layer, it was not easy to wash off).

"Boys Discussion"

Photos will be useful for this. Take a piece of Whatman paper, draw a tree on it and place the photos along the branches, under each portrait write the main characteristics of the person depicted (smart, handsome, kind, crazy). It will be a surprise when it turns out that you look at the same guy differently! If you don’t want to quarrel over guys, then take actors and singers - who likes whom and why.

“Dreamcatcher” (craft)

I printed out the master class from the Internet. The rings were pre-wrapped with yarn to shorten the manufacturing process.

"Friendship Pins"

You will need: safety pins of various sizes, small plastic and glass beads of various shapes and sizes. To make a simple single friendship pin, you just need to put 4-6 beads of your choice on the pin - the pin is ready, all you have to do is attach it to something and wear it. And to make a more complex friendship pin, you need to attach several (preferably 10) single ready-made pins with beads to one large pin. These beautiful homemade pins can be worn on a backpack, shoes, clothing or hat!

We prepared a tray with different beads and sets of seven pins (six hanging on one). Each girl threaded beads onto one pin from the set. Thus, it turned out that each girl had a pin from the other girls.

"Dream-art"

Buy or pre-sew white pillowcases for the number of party participants, and prepare a couple of packs of markers (non-washable) for drawing on the fabric. Invite the children to paint their pillowcases. It will be both a unique handmade work of art and a memory of the party.

I sewed the pillowcases 40x40 so that I didn't have to draw too much. It was planned that each girl would draw and write something on all the pillowcases as a keepsake for the party participants. It didn’t work out, they forgot.

“Wall newspaper-congratulations”

On a large sheet of paper, all the guests draw and write something for the birthday girl. You can make a collage of advertising brochures, or print out funny photographs or pictures in advance.

"Drawing with the left foot"

A roll of wallpaper left over from the renovation was prepared for drawing competitions. But it didn’t come to drawing.

"Divination"

First, create the appropriate surroundings: turn off the lights, light candles and incense sticks, put lyrical music on the tape recorder.

I prepared notebooks (printed and sewn) with descriptions of various fortune telling - on cards, by numbers, by book. There were no candles or sticks.

1. You will need 4 paper bags, ballpoint pens according to the number of participants, 4 sheets of paper for each participant. Write “work” on the first package. On the second “husband’s name”, on the third “city”, on the fourth “number of children”. Then each of the guests writes something on pieces of paper for each package, the pieces of paper are folded into the corresponding bags. After that, everyone pulls one piece of paper from each bag. The prediction is announced. 2. Draw a circle on a sheet of paper (you can circle a plate). Divide the circle into 6 sectors. In the sectors write “Yes”, “No”, “Maybe”, “Perhaps”, “Ask again” and “I won’t tell!” Then, one by one, participants ask a question and throw a coin on the circle to find out their fate.

We had both options for fortune telling. I didn’t hear any special enthusiasm about them.

Board games

If you collect everything you have in the house, you never know, you’ll want to play.

"Midnight Session"

You can agree among yourself on what kind of movie to watch (a new one that no one has seen, or one that everyone likes). After watching, discuss the best parts of the film. You should not watch horror films, or several films in a row.

We chose to watch the Japanese cartoons Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle.

Then I made an event plan

. I tried to have one type of activity replaced by another, so that noisy games ended no later than 23:00, so that the breaks between snacks were approximately the same.

11:00Breakfasttea, hot sandwiches, yogurt, glazed cheese curds, fruit cups, tablecloth, napkinsdish, disposable plates, forks, spoons
12:00Guest departure

Before receiving guests, we wet-cleaned the room (paying special attention to common areas), built a bed from mattresses, brought in all the soft toys and loose pillows, hung garlands of balloons, glued glow-in-the-dark stars to the wall, brought a TV with a video player, and a music center. and everything you needed for games and entertainment. In the bathroom they prepared towels, small tubes of toothpaste, a face mask, and hair bandages for everyone. In a prominent place she hung a list of entertainment, divided into “before and after midnight.”

When the guests arrived and settled down, I told them that this kind of event was new for us and I hoped that everything would go smoothly. And since you (the guests) can already entertain yourself, I will not direct your actions. Everything you need for entertainment has been prepared and is located there. If you need help, I'm here. They assured me that everything would be fine, and I left.

Of course, no one followed the plan. Some points were left out, something new was added. For example, they didn’t make sleep catchers, didn’t draw on pillowcases or paper, and didn’t do a manicure. But we played “Mafia” several times, and eating ice cream turned into a dessert decorating activity.

Since the rules of pajama parties are to fall asleep when tiredness overcomes, I did not interfere in the process. The girls calmed down late, after three in the morning. My expectations that they would sleep longer were not justified - at about 8 o’clock everyone was already on their feet. I also had to get up and go set the table for breakfast. Breakfast was eaten with great appetite. I reminded them that we had to leave by noon. The girls still had time to play and went home at the agreed time.

About the food. Just in case, I prepared a big bowl of Chaika salad (easy to prepare, filling and usually everyone loves) and cut up sticks of cheese and sausage into small pieces, and for good reason! Still, birthdays are mostly associated with food. Even though the invitations said that there would be no “food” in the evening :), I realized that everyone was not averse to refreshment right from the doorstep. This is where the salad came in handy. All other snacks went according to plan.

Salad "Seagull". For 50 grams of grated hard cheese, 1 boiled egg, canned green peas, mayonnaise. Grate cheese, eggs, add peas, mayonnaise. Mix. Add salt if necessary; Spice up. You can add finely chopped onions.

I can say that I liked this party format.
The main concern is to think through and prepare everything you need. It is better with a supply of both entertainment and mattresses, pillows and blankets. And my daughter really liked it. It was her and her friends' first pajama party (as far as I know). The only disappointment was that not all the prepared games were played.

How to have a pajama party

A children's pajama party will be fun and interesting if adults make sure that everything is properly and beautifully organized.

There are several rules that must be followed to make the holiday fun and colorful:

  1. First you need to think about where exactly the pajama party will take place. The room for a children's party should be spacious and comfortable. It is advisable to have several beds if you are going to invite a lot of children to the party. It is very important that this room is either stylishly decorated or was originally a child’s bedroom.
  2. Make invitations. They can be electronic or paper in the form of a postcard. The design should match the style and theme of the party you have in mind.
  3. Prepare pajamas for the children or simply indicate in the invitations what the dress code is for your children's event.
  4. Think about what the children will enjoy. An ideal option for a pajama party is a candy bar with various sweets and fruits.
  5. The most important thing is the scenario of the event or at least a plan for competitions and games.

Please note that children will not be able to host their own pajama party. There must be an adult who will control everything and implement the scenario from beginning to end. You can invite a professional animator for this role.

Golden pyramid

Breaded snacks are always the first to disappear from the plate. Crispy cheese balls - even more so. You can add ham, bacon or any other meat to the cheese. Garlic and hot spices will add piquant notes. For juiciness, add fresh herbs or pickled cucumbers. An interesting combination can be achieved if you combine cheese with nuts or dried cranberries. We offer a basic recipe, and then improvise yourself.

Ingredients:

  • hard cheese - 300 g
  • egg whites - 3 pcs.
  • flour - 3 tbsp. l.
  • salt and spices - to taste
  • breadcrumbs - for coating
  • vegetable oil - 300 ml

Cooking method:

  1. Grate the cheese on the finest grater to make thin shavings.
  2. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt into a fluffy foam.
  3. Add cheese and flour, salt to taste, knead the dough. It should be sticky and thick. If the dough spreads, add more flour.
  4. While the pan with oil is heating up, with wet hands, form balls the size of a ping pong ball and roll in ground breadcrumbs.
  5. We lower the balls into boiling oil in a slotted spoon - then they will not hit the bottom and will turn out perfectly round.
  6. Fry them in small batches until evenly golden brown.
  7. Also, using a slotted spoon, remove them from the pan and place them on paper towels.
  8. When the excess fat has drained, place the balls on a plate in a pyramid.

Pajama party invitation, ideas with photos

This option is neutral and can be sent to both the boys and girls you want to invite to your pajama party. You can include some chocolate or house slippers with the invitation.

If a children's party assumes that only girls should be present, then you can use this invitation option. You can attach a beautiful tiara or crown to it so that every girl at your pajama party feels like a real princess.

This option will suit you if a pajama party is your style for celebrating a child's birthday.

Another invitation option for a girls' pajama party. Perfect for girls aged 8 to 12 years.

If your party guests are under 8 years old, then use these invitations. They are bright and interesting, which girls can’t help but like.

Canapes in a new form

What's a party without canapés? There can be countless variations here. Classic products for this snack are: red fish, seafood, ham, various smoked meats, hard and soft cheeses, olives, fresh vegetables. Let's treat our friends to light vegetable canapés with mozzarella and cherry tomatoes.

Ingredients:

  • zucchini - 2 pcs.
  • Cherry tomatoes - 15 pcs.
  • mozzarella – 15 balls
  • cream cheese - 200 g
  • olive oil - 1 tbsp. l.

Cooking method:

  1. Wash the zucchini well, dry it, and peel it.
  2. Using a vegetable peeler, cut the vegetables into thin wide strips.
  3. Spray them with oil and fry them in a grill pan.
  4. Roll the zucchini strips so that the cherry tomato fits inside.
  5. Place the resulting rolls vertically on a plate, fill with cream cheese, and place whole tomatoes on top. Place mozzarella balls on skewers and secure the rolls.

These are the original canapes we got!

What you need for a pajama party

What else needs to be prepared for a children's pajama party to make it atmospheric:

  • Prizes . They will be needed to reward children who want to take part in the competitive program. No need to buy any expensive gifts. These can be purely symbolic souvenirs - toothbrushes, slippers, a hair cap, a blindfold, a set of children's cosmetics for skin or hair care.
  • Music . It will play not only against the backdrop of the entire holiday, but will also be needed if the children want to organize a festive disco.
  • Cartoons and children's comedies . If the children don’t want to play anymore or get tired, then they can turn on media files.

Basket with mushrooms

Another hit at parties are tartlets. Crispy baskets for them are sold in any supermarket. You can use ready-made puff pastry or even thin pita bread. It's up to you to decide what to put inside. Most often, tartlets are filled with cream or cottage cheese, various pates and thick sauces. And they are supplemented with chicken meat, lightly salted fish, boiled eggs, crispy vegetables, crab sticks or olives. Mushroom tartlets are a win-win option.

Ingredients:

  • tartlets - 15 pcs.
  • champignons – 400 g
  • onions - 2 pcs.
  • hard cheese - 100 g
  • sour cream - 3 tbsp. l.
  • parsley - 1 bunch
  • vegetable oil - for frying

Cooking method:

  1. Finely chop the mushrooms and onions, fry in vegetable oil until golden brown.
  2. Add sour cream and chopped herbs, keep on fire for a couple more minutes.
  3. Leave a few sprigs of parsley for decoration. At the end, add grated cheese to the mushrooms and mix everything well.
  4. Fill the baskets with filling, place on a baking sheet and place in the oven at 200°C for 10 minutes.
  5. We serve the tartlets on a platter, decorate with herb petals and always serve warm.

Pajama Party Styles

  1. You can choose the plot of a popular cartoon and write a party script based on it. For example, girls really like the cartoon “Pony Princess”. There are a lot of bright characters in it, using which all children at the holiday will be able to play the main role.
  2. You can make the kingdom of dreams at a pajama party. The main essence of the holiday is children's dreams. Each competition involves completing a task to make the dream come true. For example, a dream about a box of chocolates. If the children complete the task, they will receive a treasured gift.
  3. Beauty saloon. If only girls gather at the party, they will be able to do each other’s hair, manicures, and face masks. They can simply gossip with each other, or together they can start a diary for girls, in which each will fill out their own questionnaire.

Room decoration

To create the appropriate mood, you need to properly prepare the room for a pajama party. The concept of the holiday is a cozy and trusting atmosphere.

First of all, you need to organize the space of the room so that all guests have their own sleeping place.

  • If you have a large sofa or bed, then it is enough to cover it with rugs or blankets and place more soft pillows.
  • If there is no bed, then you can put all the attributes of the pajama party directly on the floor. In this case, you will need more blankets and blankets. It is worth scattering pillows of different sizes, shapes and colors throughout the area.

Place several lamps in different corners of the room: the main light will be turned off, and separate dim light sources will create a special atmosphere. Since the lighting will be dim, it would be useful to enliven the atmosphere with a garland, which can be stretched along the eaves or decorated with windows.

Since the pajama party is organized for girls aged 10-14 years, it would be a good idea to decorate the room with large plush toys.

You can also use multi-colored balloons as decorations - the more, the better.

The ceiling can be decorated with phosphorus luminous figures - for example, in the form of the moon and stars. In dim light conditions, they will perfectly complement the overall atmosphere.

Pajama Party Ideas

  1. Children really like to bake something. At a pajama party, you can invite them to make sweet cupcakes or pops. Over a cup of herbal tea while watching a cartoon, all the sweets will quickly go away. This way you combine business with pleasure.
  2. If there are only girls at the party, then they will enjoy the pajama fashion show. They will be able to feel like real models at a fashion show.
  3. A pajama party is a great occasion for board games. Children's monopoly, chess, checkers, table football, hockey - all this is perfect for a holiday in this style.

Mexican motifs

Let's add sunny colors to our party menu and prepare quesadillas. The advantage of this snack is the generous variety of toppings. Chicken with cheese, beans with vegetables, minced meat with hot chili sauce, mushrooms with herbs and even a variation on the Greek salad theme - the combinations can be anything. We suggest you stop at the corn quesadilla.

Ingredients:

  • cheese tortillas - 12 pcs.
  • canned corn - 400 g
  • onions - 2 pcs.
  • hard cheese - 200 g
  • olive oil - for frying
  • tomato sauce - 2 tbsp. l.
  • salt and ground chili - to taste.

Cooking method:

  1. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
  2. Cut the onion into small cubes and fry in olive oil until golden brown.
  3. Pour in the corn kernels, add tomato sauce, salt and pepper, mix well.
  4. Place the flatbread on a heated grill pan.
  5. Sprinkle one half with cheese, lay out a little filling, sprinkle with cheese again, cover with the other half and press with a spatula.
  6. Brown the cake until golden brown and turn it over.
  7. We prepare the rest of the flatbreads in the same way.

Pajama Party Script

A children's pajama party will require time and effort from adults. Despite the fact that the appearance of children does not matter at such a holiday, there are other nuances that you will have to worry about. First of all, pay attention to the safety of children and leisure time. You need to be sure that they are under supervision and are doing things that are beneficial for their development.

Dress code selection

Another important point in the question of how to organize the right pajama party is the selection of appropriate clothes. You will need comfortable loungewear. It could be:

  • Kigurumi.
  • Warm robes and funny socks.
  • Loose T-shirts and shorts.
  • Any comfortable pajamas.

They often wear cozy animal-shaped slippers and use funny sleep masks. You can ask guests to take them with them or give them out at the entrance.
