Almost every girl as a child wanted her wedding to be like a fairy tale. The girls are growing up, and their dreams are becoming more and more come true. You can choose the theme of any fairy tale or Disney cartoon for your wedding, but in this article we will look at an Alice in Wonderland style wedding. A wedding featuring famous characters from Lewis Carroll's book will amaze everyone who happens to see it and attend it. A riot of colors, flights of imagination, magical shrinking cupcakes and rosti-buns will not leave anyone indifferent. Follow the white rabbit... Advice : Decide which “Alice” is closest to you. Classic Disney-style Alice or Tim Burton's insanely weird Alice. This will help maintain the integrity of your wedding style.

Invitations
There are a huge number of options for creating invitations! Give free rein to your imagination. Remember, or better yet, reread/rewatch Alice in Wonderland. Use fairy tale details in your invitations. For example, make invitations in the form of packages that are read out by a white rabbit. Don't forget about details such as red roses, red cards, garden greenery and cards with the inscription “Read Me”, which will be a reference to those same sweets and bottles.
An interesting detail can be the keys and images of keyholes attached to the invitations. It is not necessary to look for real keys; you can easily replace them with drawn ones.
Also add character pictures to your invitations. These can be illustrations from a book or everyone’s favorite images from cartoons and movies.
You can also remember the crazy tea ceremony that Alice attended, where she met the Hatter and the March Hare. If you decide that your wedding will be like that same tea party, then feel free to write in the invitations that you are expecting guests for the “Crazy Wedding Tea Party.” This will definitely impress your guests!

Books of wishes
The image of a wedding in the style of “Alice in Wonderland” should be thought out to the smallest detail. Every detail must match the style of the celebration. This also applies to wish books and their replacement analogues.
- Classic book of wishes. It can be decorated in an antique style or have a faded color. The book may contain quotes from a famous book. As for illustrations, it is certainly a rabbit, a card deck, a hat and other characteristic attributes.
- Wishes frame. A wooden frame of wishes will fit perfectly into this wedding style if it is filled with wooden card suits with wishes printed on them.
- Wooden figurine for wishes. This can be a figure in the form of a deck of cards or a certain suit, a rabbit, a teapot and other objects accompanying a famous book.
- Tree of wishes. On such a tree, guests can hang not the usual leaves with wishes, but card suits with warm words printed on them.

Bride's image
The “Alice in Wonderland” style look combines fantasy and English style from the 19th century. Blue wedding dresses are suitable. Lush, short... To your taste. Do you want to wear a white dress? No problem! Tie a lush blue bow around your waist and you are Alice.
If you want to be more original, experiment with the images of the Red Queen or the March Hare and the White Rabbit.
Shoes
The fairy tale "Alice in Wonderland" was written in the second half of the 19th century during the Victorian era. This means that all the nuances of steampunk wedding dresses apply here too. Lace-up ankle boots, lace... All this will suit you perfectly. If you choose the image of the Queen of Hearts, then choose shoes in red shades. An excellent and original solution would be shoes decorated with red hearts or white ballet flats. Plastic hearts or painted ones - it's up to you.
Hairstyle
Let's remember what Alice's hair looked like in the cartoon version and in the movies.
Disney's Alice has a bow on her head and flowing hair. You can play up this image however you like, using bows of different shapes and sizes. Wicker wreaths and hairpins with flowers, small hats and crowns - all this will help create the image of the Alice girl who once chased the white rabbit.
Step-by-step photo tutorial on how to make a hair bow with your own hands
Tim Burton's Alice is curls. These are easy to do yourself, using curlers or a curling iron. However, we still recommend that you consult a specialist. Perhaps he will recommend a much more interesting version of this hairstyle.
Step-by-step photo tutorial on how to make Alice's curls yourself
If you want to use a hat, try to match it harmoniously with your outfit, bouquet and of course, the groom's hat and boutonniere.
Makeup
Makeup can be almost invisible. After all, Alice was a little girl. But you, as an older girl, are allowed to experiment. Be magical, gentle. Pastel colors for more delicate natures and burgundy lips for more sensual “Alice”.
Manicure
When creating a manicure, add details that reflect the wedding theme. These can be images of heroes, card suits, sparkles, bows and locks with keys.
Accessories
There is no need to overload the image with details. If your hair is tied up, you can wear earrings in the shape of keyholes or keys.
Bouquet
As you remember, the main flowers in the book were roses. The same white roses that Alice suggested painting with red paint. There is a variety of two-color, white and red roses “Empress Farah”; but finding them will be difficult. Why not follow the path suggested by Carroll? – Paint white flowers with red paint.
Of course, not only roses will suit your Alice-style wedding look. These can be peonies, daisies, and any flowers in general. The main thing is that the bouquet fits harmoniously into your image. For example, use the same flowers as for the groom's boutonniere.
Since the wedding is fairytale and crazy, your wedding bouquet can be made from buttons. Add themed paraphernalia and voila!
Remember how Alice shrank and ended up in Wonderland when she was very tiny. All the plants seemed gigantic to her. This fragment can be included in your wedding. Replace the bouquet with one flower. True, the flower should be larger than your head.

My project - Alice in Wonderland
Hello! The New Year is coming - it’s time to pay off debts. Here, my debt is to myself and to the wonderful craftsmen who helped implement this big project. What is this project? I hope that in this series it will be the first, but not the last Project to bear the code name “Keepers of Fairy Tales”. Lately, children have not been very interested in the classic fairy tales that were read to us in childhood; they do not watch Soviet cartoons, which I grew up with, and which taught kindness, friendship, mutual help and understanding. It became a shame... So I decided to keep my favorite fairy tales in a box. Yes, literally, in a box! This is one of the conditions. It is necessary that the fairy tale be compact, pocket-sized, take up little space, but at the same time be multifunctional. The task was not easy, but personally I am pleased with the result. Moreover, a craving for creativity suddenly awoke in me - I began to master working with paper and a color printer. Now, in order. So, the first (and so far only) project “Alice in Wonderland”. It all started when I bought an amazing book with gorgeous illustrations and a description of all the historical facts during the time of Lewis Carroll. I was never particularly inspired by this tale, but after reading the historical annotations, I realized that it was simply a treasure trove of information about the Victorian era.
It is clear that the characters should be very tiny and exclusively made by the “golden” hands of craftsmen, and not by assembly line factory production. Fortunately, there are many talented people in the world. Thus, I found a real doll fairy Nadezhda nadin58. Her miniature dolls are full of such energy and life that you don’t want to let them go! And they are so small that they easily fit in the palm of your hand.
Nadezhda created for me a jointed Alice doll based on the Bead mold, and also, at my request, the Hatter. The Hatter, according to my version, is a boy, Alice's friend. Here they are together (only still in the form of an ordinary boy, Tommy)
And we needed animals, of course the Cheshire Cat, the White Hare and the Blue Caterpillar. Another craftswoman helped me with this - Lilia (with YAM). In my opinion, they are exactly what I always imagined them to be. Moreover, she asked that the Caterpillar not be as evil and scary as various artists portrayed it. Lilia also coped with her task brilliantly. Now I have a whole cheerful company gathered
And then I realized that I had forgotten someone! I forgot the mouse Sonya. Can you imagine what size she would have to be to be the smallest? No bigger than a fingertip! And again our puppet fairy Nadezhda came to my aid.
Now all the main characters from "Alice..." have gathered together
And now you could play all the stories from Lewis Carroll's fairy tale and make up your own
Everything was great, but I wanted my characters to have their own personal space. And I came up with an idea. I found the craftswoman Julia (at YaM) and ordered her a box in the form of a book. This is such a beauty!
Now the box had to be arranged. Again, for such a grandiose project, I needed a professional. And Irina iri-selena helped create the atmosphere.
And another creepy photo in the night light...
Then my imagination began to run wild, and I decided to make different rooms out of the box. All doll furniture is removable, and paintings, flower pots, and decorative details are on magnets. We didn’t glue anything on so as not to spoil Yulia’s original idea. This is already my fantasy. I made some things myself, bought some things at a doll exhibition.
Wallpaper is removable. They can be removed and folded like a regular postcard or a sheet of paper.
Another option for royal chambers. Restroom
And Her Majesty is resting...
And now Alice’s room in the 19th century.
And the room of modern Alice.
This is how our craftswomen inspired me.
Looking at the wonderful creations created by the hands of talented people, I decided to try to do something myself, to make my contribution to this project, so to speak. The condition was unchanged. Everything should be small or foldable. How can Alice and her whole company have fun? I thought. I thought and thought and made a theater out of paper for them. I didn't expect it to be so much work! The theater is about 6 cm, the dolls in it are on average 3 cm. But I think I succeeded (at least, I sincerely hope so!) Here it is folded:
This is a real transformer. It can be folded and disassembled. The roof, stage, curtain, even the façade are all removable. And of course, the decorations. I also did it in pop-up style (like a panorama book). The theater with all the attributes and dolls fits into a very small box. For example, this is how it looks next to the pukipuks, whose height is 11 cm.
And so Alice and Tommy play in the theater.
Here are all the heroes of Lewis Carroll's fairy tale. But you can do any others. The fact that my parents are engineers, apparently, makes it clear that I had to think about the stability of these tiny paper dolls. As a result, they now stand quietly and we must try to make them fall.
But I decided not to end there either. My fantasy just took off at a gallop. To make sure that the children's interest in this book awakened, I made paper dolls. They come in two versions. One simple one is an Alice and Tommy doll with removable clothes.
The second option is to glue magnetic vinyl to the back of the paper dolls. And now it was possible to imagine the maximum functional paper analogue of all my heroes. It even turned out to be a magnetic paper box where all the characters were magnetized.
Everything is just as wonderfully magnetized, along with clothes and animals, to a magnetic marker board.
And the backgrounds are also held in place by the magnetic vinyl on the back of my heroes.
And that is not all! If I’m not too tired yet, then I’ll tell you about my pop-up dollhouse Our folding books, or panoramas, are made in this style. The house had to carry a certain educational idea, so it was decorated with pictures of the famous artist, Alice illustrator, Sir John Tenniel. A folding postcard came out, the size of an A4 sheet. The postcard opens and a house “pops out”. Inside, there are also Tenniel drawings on the walls. Looks like a regular flat postcard:
We open the postcard and a house appears.
Inside.
I sent my Alice there and she liked it, sort of.
The others also quickly caught up.
And... that's not all either... In fact, it was interesting how much can be done to fit into a box the size of a standard sheet. The finale was my photo book. There is a children's story about Alice and all my characters in Russian and English with a bonus in the form of paper dolls of Alice and Tommy.
That's it now! All that remains is to take it and put it neatly in a box (of course, I put a bubble wrap everywhere). Below in the picture is the lid - a top view of the box. My photo books and, at the same time, Alice’s original in English.
I folded everything, packed it...
And I placed it on a shelf with books or notebooks, in general, where there is a little free space. I thank everyone who reached the end of my story. I sincerely hope that it was interesting!
Groom image
You have already guessed that the image of the groom will be copied from everyone’s favorite character in this wonderful book, the Mad Hatter. First of all, you need a cylinder. You can decorate it yourself or turn to professionals. In addition to the hat, you will have to get a frock coat (or a jacket similar to it), a vest and a watch on a chain. It doesn't seem complicated. The main thing is to arrange everything correctly, choose accessories and a boutonniere. The groomsmen can also wear matching top hats or matching neckerchiefs. It will be best if everyone is dressed in the same or similar costumes.

Decor
If your wedding begins not with the registry office, but with on-site registration, you will need a wedding arch. If the ceremony will take place in a garden or park, you can simply arrange it near a large tree decorated, for example, with a clock. When decorating an arch, use elements such as roses, keys and locks, clocks, white rabbits, huge flowers and mushrooms, and even top hats.
The degree of stylization of a wedding can be different - from a slight hint of the plot with the help of details to a complete transformation into the heroes of a fairy tale with the help of costumes and makeup. Whichever option you choose, remember that the main decorative details for such a wedding should be a watch on a chain, playing cards, tea china, hats, tags with the inscriptions “eat me” and “drink me”, vintage keys and images of a rabbit. If it is possible to do a photo shoot with live, rather than drawn, rabbits, then it would be ideal.
Pay special attention to the decorations: the more red and white roses there are in the interior, the better. Let this be an allusion to the episode where the gardeners repainted the rose bushes in the garden. Flamingo figures will also fit perfectly into the wedding style. Your main task is to create an atmosphere of light madness, so the more unusual the better. These could be chairs of different heights and colors, large alarm clocks on tables. Don't forget about the clock, there should be a lot of them in your wedding decoration. Remember how the Rabbit hurried to give the duchess the gloves or how the Hatter and the mouse Sonya quarreled with Time? You can attach place cards to your keys. Keys can also be used in the bride’s bouquet and other decorative elements. You can mark seats for guests with playing cards. Let each guest be assigned a card of a certain suit and value. If you have more guests than there are 54 cards in the deck, you can come up with additional suits, such as red clubs.
A suitable place for a wedding in the Alice in Wonderland style would be a beautiful park or garden in the English style. This place is perfect for off-site registration and subsequent tea drinking. If the weather is not conducive to gatherings in nature, choose a suitable cafe or restaurant. The decorations and general design will be made from it into a real English garden.
The Zazerkalye restaurant in Moscow has already been decorated for a wedding in the style of Alice in Wonderland.

Birthday decoration
What can be unusual in holiday decoration? Surrounding things. If there are flowers, then they are alive, if the cards are large, if there are cups, then they are in a pyramid. For the surroundings you will also need a key or many keys, a large clock, small doors if possible and, of course, a Rabbit.
Menu, sweet table and cake
Even if you invited guests to a “tea party in Wonderland,” you still can’t do a wedding without a traditional menu with hot dishes. Therefore, it is best to organize a buffet with hot food served separately. By the way, it will be great if the menu is written, beautifully designed and presented somewhere in a visible place. And it is imperative that the names of the dishes be fabulous, for example, “quasi-turtle soup”, “cod that does not crack”, “guinea pig in a bag”, etc. Be sure to put classic English sandwiches with butter on the table - these are what the Mad Hatter chews throughout the entire Alice story. A sweet table can fulfill not only its intended purpose, but also become a wonderful decorative item. One of the most important details of the story about Alice is the tea party. Flags and signs “Eat me”, “Drink me” simply must be there! They can decorate cupcakes and macarons.
The cake can even become the main character of the evening (after the bride and groom, of course :)). Here you can't restrain your imagination. Hats and bunnies, roses and card suits... The main thing is to find an excellent pastry chef who will create the perfect cake according to your plan.

Cupcake recipe
This is a really easy recipe for vanilla flavored cupcakes . You can change things up, add different flavors like strawberry, food coloring to have a little fun. Or replace some of the flour with cocoa powder to make chocolate-flavored muffins. Decorate the way you want, the only limit is your imagination!
INGREDIENTS:
- Makes approximately 12 cupcakes
- 80g Self-raising flour
- 80 g plain flour
- 100 g butter (softened)
- 200 g powdered sugar
- 2 eggs (medium)
- 120 ml milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
METHOD:
- All ingredients should be at room temperature, so take the milk, eggs and butter out of the refrigerator in the morning.
- Preheat the oven to 180° (160 for a fan-assisted oven).
- Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy in a mixer on medium speed.
- Crack the eggs into a bowl and add slowly to the mixture while the mixer is running, beating all ingredients well.
- Weigh 2 different types of flour, sift and combine in a separate bowl. Add a small amount of flour, again with the mixer running, and add a little milk at a time until all the flour and milk are added. Add vanilla extract and beat until all ingredients are well combined.
- Scrape down the sides of the mixture with a spatula and stir well to ensure all ingredients are well combined.

- Let cool 10 to 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before decorating.
- Decorate as you wish!
Spring cookies in the shape of animals
First, buy these cute cookie cutters. This easy sugar cookie recipe is a combination of different recipes and methods. The recipe may need some improvement, but practice makes perfect!
INGREDIENTS:
- 175g salted butter (room temperature)
- 150 g powdered sugar
- 1 medium egg (room temperature)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 280 g plain flour
METHOD:
Beat the butter in a bowl until smooth. You can use a wall mixer for this, but you can also try an electric hand mixer. Add sugar and beat on high speed until light and fluffy.
Add the egg, vanilla and almond extract and beat on high speed until all ingredients are well combined, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
Sift the flour and add half to the butter mixture, folding it in, or use a mixer on low speed. Once combined, add the other half and repeat. If the mixture is too sticky, add an additional tablespoon of flour.
Divide in half and roll out each piece to approximately 5mm thick. The easiest way is to place the dough on floured paper, then another piece of greaseproof paper on top and roll out the dough. You will get a good even dough with a smooth surface.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Cut out the desired cookie shapes and place on a baking sheet lined with greaseproof paper and refrigerate until firm (about an hour). If the dough becomes sticky, refrigerate it again.
Cook at 160C for about 7 minutes, ideally until the edges start to brown. Depending on the thickness of the cookies, it will take from 6 to 9 minutes. As you can see, some of them are a little brown around the edges, but don't worry, they will still taste great, just be a little careful.
Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes and then transfer to a wire rack until completely cool. These cookies can be made ahead and frozen undecorated, defrosting in the refrigerator overnight as needed.
These are just homemade recipes, so some measurements are approximate.
