Dear readers! Those favorite holidays that we have all been waiting for all year are approaching - Christmas and New Year. Unlike other holidays, New Year is the “longest” holiday; you have New Year’s Eve and the whole New Year’s Eve at your disposal. I want to share one idea that might be useful to someone on New Year's Eve. The idea came by chance, although it is not new, I just changed it a little. I don’t know whether the admins will consider my idea suitable for such a serious blog as the “Musical Community” blog. In my opinion, when such a holiday awaits everyone, strict rules can be set aside for a while and everything connected with the upcoming holidays can be welcomed.

You shouldn’t plan anything in advance on New Year’s Eve, especially something serious, so as not to look funny like the characters in the movie “Carnival Night”, but still, you should think about what to do with your guests between meals and drinks and dancing. Undoubtedly, music always plays almost the main role in New Year's fun in any company. But, if you are going to give guests a lecture about the work of everyone’s beloved Johann Sebastianovich, you risk ruining the New Year’s evening. If you organize a competition to guess the melody, the evening will have the same fate. Why? – The answer is simple, people want something fun, simply funny. And how can we not remember the jokes? Since you visited the Musical Community blog, it means that the jokes will be musical. But, again, if you, as the host or hostess of the evening, read musical jokes, at best you will hear the giggling of those present. To improve the situation, try organizing a game. There is such a competition in KVN, where one team invites the other to complete a phrase, and this should be taken as a basis. Read part of a short joke and let your guests complete the sentence. Perhaps the guests will offer more witty answers than even those prepared by you, it will be even better. Most importantly, to participate in the competition you almost don’t need to be a music connoisseur, you just need to be smart and have a sense of humor. This means that all guests, young and old, can participate in the competition. You can divide the competition into several stages of 2-3 questions each and, depending on the stage, score a different number of points for the most privileged or wittiest answer. Be sure to also think about a musical prize for the winner(s). Below are some quiz questions. You can prepare the questions yourself; to do this, make a request in the Internet search engine for “musical jokes” and the computer will give you hundreds and thousands of jokes. It is clear that this competition should be short-term; you should not overload the quiz with a large number of questions so as not to spoil it.

Here are some possible examples for the quiz. I’ll post the first few questions with answers (colored them in red), and if you’re interested, I’ll give answers to the rest in the comments to the post in a couple of days. For now, you can practice and write your answers in the comments to the post. Naturally, this quiz is not universal for all companies, but if it suits someone, it will be nice to know about it.
