Russian circus dynasties, such as the Durovs, Zapashnys, Kio, Filatovs, Kantemirovs, Tuganovs, Bagdasarovs, Volzhanskys, Doveikos, are known to many circus fans.

When is Circus Day celebrated?
The world's first circus appeared in England in the mid-18th century thanks to Philip Astley, who built a riding school in 1780. To attract the attention of new students, he decided to hold performances by professional riders. His idea was so successful that in the future he was able to purchase a domed building, which was called the Astley Amphitheater. In addition to performances by equestrians, the skills of jugglers, acrobats, tightrope walkers, and clowns began to be shown here. The popularity of such performances led to the emergence of traveling circuses - tents. They were dismountable and transported from city to city.
The first Russian circus was created by the Nikitin brothers. And even then it was not inferior in entertainment to foreign ones. In 1883, they built a wooden circus in Nizhny Novgorod. And in 1911, thanks to them, a capital stone circus appeared. They also laid the foundations of modern circus activities in Russia.
Today the circus combines not only classical acts, but also digital technologies, laser and fire shows.

Circus Day congratulations: what is a circus and how it works
Circus is a special type of entertainment that is accessible to children and adults. Circuses are a group of performers that include acrobats, clowns, trained animals, musicians, tightrope walkers, jugglers and other performers who perform tricks.
Circuses usually travel to different cities and countries and perform in a huge tent called the Big Tent. There may be room for hundreds of people in the auditorium. The chairs are multi-level (the seats in the back are higher than in the front).
In the middle there is a circular stage on which artists perform. This area is called the "ring". The person in charge of the entire show is called the "entertainer". Not all circuses travel. Some circuses perform in their own building. There are many different activities going on in circuses. Some artists do acrobatics and gymnastics. Gymnasts perform jumps on trampolines. Some performers do juggling, they throw things in the air and catch them.
The circus can feature performers who walk on stilts or ride unicycles. Recently, one of the oldest professions of the circus - fire swallowers - has become popular. Many circuses include a fire show in their performance program.
The most popular characters in the circus are clowns - who do funny things to make people laugh. They joke, fool around, throw buckets of water over each other or put cream pies in each other's faces. Sometimes these clowns are also very skilled acrobats, musicians or jugglers. They may act stupid at first, but often show that they are very smart.
How to become a juggler: accuracy games
A real juggler needs to be able to create his own props. Don't forget that our circus is a traveling circus and we do everything ourselves.
Regular balls are too light and completely unsuitable for real artists. Therefore, we will make not only balls that you can throw several at a time and learn to juggle, but also expanders for training the muscles of the hand.
We will need:
- air balloons
- small packages
- filler (grain, legumes, corn, flour, sugar, salt, earth, sand, sawdust)
- cups, tin cans, etc.
- To make one ball, take two balloons and cut off the tails.
- Pour enough filler into a plastic bag so that your future ball fits well in your hand. Release excess air and seal the bag.
- Now squeeze the bag into a round shape. Push this little bag into one of the balls, and put the other ball on the opposite side. Finally give it a round shape and the ball is ready. The competition can begin.
You can easily make a ball from an old sock. Take a sock and cut off the part that once warmed your toes. Fill the resulting bag with buckwheat or rice and sew it, hiding the seams inside and giving your future ball the shape of a ball. You can play football with this ball at home, and it feels very pleasant to the touch.
Accurate shooter. Take a few cups or empty cans. Arrange them in a row or build a pyramid out of them. Children can take turns throwing balls, trying to knock down the cans.
