Quest game dedicated to Student’s Day “Test Quest”

Organize a cottage party

The advantage of this idea is its practicality. You can gather a large crowd in the cottage, and the celebration itself will be more affordable than, for example, relaxing in a club. In addition, as the party organizers, you will be able to order the music yourself, regulate the atmosphere of the holiday and come up with entertainment.

The cottage can also be a great place for a group photo shoot. If you don’t take care of this from your first year, you will only have boring photos in front of your alma mater or a photo of the dean presenting you with a diploma as a memory of your fun student life. You can do it yourself or invite a professional photographer.

Quest “ENGINEERING THOUGHT”

General provisions

The educational and educational quest is a public event and is held at the educational institution as part of the week of the cycle commission “Welding and Shipbuilding Technology”.

2nd year students who have demonstrated the best knowledge in the disciplines they are studying take part in the quest.

Quiz-quest is one of the options for extracurricular work for students. It is aimed at developing creative thinking, the ability to apply what has been learned to solve specific practical problems, and the emergence of a tendency to independently search for information when working with reference and popular science literature.

The room for the quiz is decorated with creative works of students and posters on the specialty.

To sum up the results of the quiz, an independent jury is formed consisting of the deputy director for sustainable development, the chairman of the Central Committee, and engineering graphics teachers

Purpose of the quest

  • Activating the need of students to acquire knowledge and skills in basic disciplines
  • Identification of the most talented and gifted students
  • Development of students' cognitive interests
  • A quest game is a teaching method aimed at modeling reality in order to make decisions in a simulated situation.
  • The main goal of the game is to increase students’ interest in learning, and thereby increase the effectiveness of learning, increase interest in the discipline

Tasks

  • Supporting students' creative activity when studying disciplines
  • Creating conditions for the spread of communication between teachers and students
  • Generalization of the work experience of teachers of general professional disciplines
  • Forming a culture of communication among students with each other and with teachers

PROGRESS OF THE QUIZ-QUEST

Greetings

Good afternoon, dear guests: teachers, students. We have gathered today to hold a fun competition - a game called “Engineering Thought”. I am sure that you will be able to mobilize, not worry, and then the game will go on in a businesslike atmosphere.

To tune in to the game, I’ll pronounce ancient wisdom

He who fights may lose

He who does not fight has already lost.

A quest game is one of many tests in your life, from which everyone will emerge victorious, having taken at least a little something important and useful for themselves.

Overcoming yourself by getting into a fight is also a victory over yourself.

Our game consists of the following stages:

  • "Business card"
  • Warm-up “Identify general concepts”;
  • 1st round “Completion”;
  • 2nd round “Eliminate the unnecessary”;
  • 3rd round “Brainstorming”
  • Captains competition - blitz survey;
  • The final stage “Guessing Game”

Today there are guests at our game, and we will invite them to work on the jury (representation of jury members)

So, let's begin our quest.

«BUSINESS CARD"

-
this is homework
Introducing the team, captain and team motto.

The task is graded on a 5-point system.

WARM-UP “Identify general concepts”

You are offered a form with 5 rows of words, each of them has a set of five, two of which are most associated with it. Your task is to find two words in each row that best correspond to the general concept and underline them.

Time to complete the task: 3 minutes.

Task for the first team

3 Reading Chapter, book, print, picture, word
4 River Shore, fish, fisherman, mud, water
5 War Planes, guns, battles, guns, soldiers
6 Barn Hayloft, horse, roof, livestock, walls

Task for the second team

1 Division Group, dividend, pencil, divider, paper
2 Book Drawings, war, paper, love, text
3 Ring Diameter, diamond, hallmark, roundness, seal
4 City car, building, crowd, street, bicycle
5 Singing Ringing, art, voice, applause, melody
6 Earthquake Fire, death, noise, flood, ground vibrations

The task is worth 12 points, one line is worth 2 points. The first person to complete the task receives an incentive point.

The jury sums up the results of the game, and we continue our game.

1st round
“COMPLETION”
In this task you need to build a complex drawing of a pyramid and complete a rectangular isometry.

The task completion time is 8 minutes.

The task is worth 10 points, and for each incorrect construction there is a 2-point penalty.

The first person to complete the task receives an incentive point.

While our jury is working, I would like to tell you an ancient Chinese parable:

You can become smarter in three ways:

Through experience - this is the most bitter path;

By imitation - this is the easiest way;

Through reflection is the noblest path.

2nd round

Standard for the task “Completion”

Visit entertainment venues

On November 17, many clubs traditionally organize parties for students of every taste and color. Institutions report this with the help of posters, and the smartest ones even send their promoters to universities, who hand out flyers and invitations to students. However, clubs are not the only entertainment option on this day. You really have a lot to choose from. You can celebrate Student's Day in restaurants, anti-cafes, bars, pubs, karaoke or hookah bars. Your task is to decide on a place where the whole group will be interested in relaxing.

Famous students

For this competition, it is necessary to prepare pictures or photos of various famous people who at one time studied at institutes, for example, Pavel Volya - a teacher of Russian language and literature, Martirosyan - a doctor, and so on. The guys are divided into small teams. The presenter shows one picture of a famous person, and the teams must guess what specialty this famous person studied. For the correct answer, the team receives a point. The team that gives the most correct answers will win.

Gather everyone for a quest or group game

Another option for celebrating is various competitions or quests. You can try to play the game yourself; fortunately, there are many ready-made scenarios on the Internet. Or you can invite professionals who will create a route for your group and make everyone have a good run. Such a quest can be themed, for example, based on your favorite computer game or popular book. After finishing the quest, be sure to get together and have a noisy party.

Russians will be given the opportunity to travel by train to Crimea with their own car

Mothers with COVID pass on milk antibodies to their babies that neutralize the virus

Snake - Enlightenment: which era is close to each sign of the Chinese horoscope

Of course, there are gaming offers every day, but when else will the entire course agree to get together and play bowling or paintball, for example, if not on their “professional” holiday?

Perform a rite of passage

As you know, on Student’s Day, various European and American universities arrange a special initiation rite for their freshmen - initiation into the ranks of students. Sometimes the initiation is organized by the university, and various concerts and fairs are held. But the part that is prepared by the students themselves is much more interesting. It can be both the starting point of the holiday and its culmination. Make vows, rituals, and various humorous tasks the basis of initiation. Don't forget to invite teachers to participate as well.

Smart to the teeth

The competition is quite simple in description, but not so easy to complete in reality. 2-3 students participate; accordingly, the board is divided into several parts according to the number of participants. Each participant receives chalk, which they need to take with their teeth, and at the command “start” the guys write a certain hidden phrase on the board with chalk in their teeth. For example, the phrase “Happy Student’s Day, my favorite group.” The participant who completes the task faster and writes a phrase with his teeth will win and receive a prize.
