There are even more quest scenarios for children on their birthday in this article.

How to organize a quest at home?

So, you decided to surprise your child and organize a “Find a gift at home” quest for him. Your task is to hide the gift in a secluded place, which will be found after completing a chain of tasks and tips. What parents need to do:

  1. Come up with a place where the gift will be securely hidden.
  2. Make a chain of places where the child can find the next clues. Messages should not intersect so that the quest does not end prematurely.
  3. Think about where you can put the clues. Use all rooms, hallway, balcony, even mailbox. For a 5-year-old child, the quest should not be difficult, so it is better to use one room in which simple clues will be laid out.
  4. Design your messages beautifully. You can put them in envelopes, use ready-made templates, or make original notes yourself.
  5. To avoid confusion, draw a diagram for yourself in advance where you will place the clues.

The quest can be designed for one participant (birthday boy) or for a small group of children. If there are more than 10 participants, divide them into two teams and arrange a competition to see who can find the gifts faster. For children 10 years of age and older, come up with more complex tasks; for kids, easy tips are suitable.

The number of stages will depend on the degree of difficulty. If the tasks are simple, children will quickly cope with them, which means the quest will not be long. In this case, do 10-12 steps. Complex clues will require a long time to complete, so you should not overload the children with them (5-6 difficult tasks are enough).

Advice! Prepare small intermediate prizes to make the game even more exciting and enjoyable. This could be sweets, small toys, books, stationery, etc.

Options for children's quests

  1. Create a fun game for young children using tracks of various animals. At the beginning of the fun, kids receive a map that shows which tracks they need to follow to find gifts. First, players must follow the lion's paw prints, then the hare's tracks, then the cat's, and then they find their mother's prints, which will lead to the coveted prize.

On a note! Draw and cut out the tracks of various animals in advance, arrange them in a tangled path. Hide the gift securely so that it is not found ahead of time.

  1. You can make a cache from the cover of an old book, which will stand on a shelf among other publications. Contestants must complete a series of challenges before they receive the final clue to where the prize is.
  2. Place the gift in a suitcase with a combination lock. To open it, players will have to solve several problems, solve puzzles and riddles. This quest will surely appeal to teenagers.
  3. But the most popular entertainment, of course, is searching for gifts using clue notes. Parents can easily organize such a quest on their own, because it will take very little time.

Where to hide the gift?

Preparing for a children's quest begins with finding a place in the apartment where you can safely hide a gift. Participants must under no circumstances find it before the end of the game!

Where can you hide a present:

  • Kitchen Cabinet;
  • shelves with clothes;
  • dishes;
  • Mom's bag;
  • oven;
  • window sill behind the curtains;
  • fridge;
  • storage room.

Finding a gift should be a fun game, so try to put it in a place where the child rarely looks. Surely, it wouldn’t occur to him to look at what’s in his mother’s cosmetics cabinet or on the shelf with pots and pans.

Possible tasks and tips

To organize an interesting quest, you will need very little: paper, pencils, markers, scissors, tape and, of course, the imagination of your parents. If you have no imagination at all, you can use our ready-made script.

Draw a map of the house in advance and mark the places where the clues will be hidden. It is better to arrange the caches clockwise. Thus, the gift will be located almost at the start, but the clues will lead the participants in the opposite direction.

Message options for a quest for a child’s birthday:

  1. note in an envelope;
  2. SMS messages;
  3. messages on social networks;
  4. postcard;
  5. photo.

If at the holiday, in addition to the quest, there will be games, competitions, and quizzes, come up with simple tasks that do not require serious conclusions. Remember that the main goal of such entertainment is to provide positive emotions for the participating children. But too primitive tasks are also not suitable, otherwise players will quickly get bored.

For kids, it is better to prepare tasks that will directly indicate the location of the next clue. For example, a riddle is written on paper: “I am silver and big, I am stuffed with juice and food.” So the next note is in the refrigerator.

Schoolchildren are more fond of various encrypted phrases. Here are some examples:

  1. Sentences that are written backwards. The kids have to figure out how to read a set of letters to form ordinary words.
  2. A message written in “invisible” ink. Letters written with lemon juice or milk will only appear on paper when exposed to heat. Place a candle with a note so that the children can figure out how to read the text on paper.
  3. Mirror reflection. “Flip” the text using a computer program, print it out and put it in a cache along with your pocket mirror. Participants must understand how to use the mirror to read the message correctly.
  4. Digital cipher. There are many options: numbers can indicate a letter in the alphabet or a location in a certain line of a book. Don't forget to include a hint with the task, otherwise the children will not be able to decipher the message.

Idea! If you are organizing a pirate quest “In Search of Treasure,” arrange the clues in the form of ancient scrolls. To do this, coat each sheet of paper with a strong infusion of black tea, and after everything has dried, burn the edges.

The life of teenagers is impossible without various gadgets, so it is better to organize a quest for adult children using mobile platforms. An “assistant” is created to guide the game. The birthday boy receives a game activation code on his mobile phone, after which he is given tasks. After each stage, the correct answer is entered into a special program. When the quest is successfully completed, the birthday person will receive a keyword where the gift is hidden. Modern teenagers really like such entertainment.

What's an interesting gift for a birthday?

For each of us, a birthday is a special day, and if we are talking about little children, then it is generally a magical adventure. Everyone loves to receive gifts, congratulations and increased attention from family and friends.

The mood of the birthday person depends on how the birthday goes. Therefore, if you are chosen as a wedding decorator, start preparing a few weeks in advance.

And if you want to be original and move away from a banal home feast, then organize a birthday quest for the hero of the occasion.

Quest scenario

Every child should search for pirate treasure at least once on their birthday. Quests “In search of magical gifts” can be created in absolutely any theme close to the birthday boy, for example, the guys will look for the treasure chest of the Little Mermaid or the Great Goodwin from the Land of Oz.

Boys will be closer to the pirate version of the quest, although many girls are also not against plunging into the world of adventure. A pirate theme with a treasure hunt is a win-win option for a children's birthday party, which can be played out in different ways. The kids will be able to become pirates themselves or go in search of a treasured chest of gifts, guided by a pirate map. We offer to organize an unforgettable quest for children “Search for Pirate Treasure ,” which can be done at home or on the street.

Preparation

Prepare the following details:

  • balloons, napkins, paper cups and plates with pirate symbols;
  • cosmetics for face painting;
  • compass;
  • an “archaeologist set” featuring a skull and crossbones;
  • chocolate coins;
  • chest (you can use a toy one);
  • lock with key;
  • pirate accessories (earring, sword, eye patch, hook).

Make your own pirate map. To do this, take a sheet of whatman paper, thoroughly soak it with strong tea leaves, then scorch the edges over the candle and tear the corners. You also need to print out or prepare your own corsair dictionary and honorary diplomas of pirates.

Issued to the birthday person

Issued to other participants

To create the appropriate ambience, prepare black scarves with skulls and crossbones painted with white paint. Place souvenirs for each guest in personalized bags, tie them with twine, and make a seal from plasticine. Also wrap the gift for the birthday boy in paper with pirate drawings and sign it.

Advice! For the buffet table, prepare boats from boiled eggs, ham, cheese and homemade mayonnaise. Instead of matcha, use toothpicks with small pirate flags attached to the ends.

Start of the quest

The quest begins with a message to the birthday boy, which comes in the form of SMS:

There is a treasure hidden in our house, you would never have such a dream. Imagine, 10 years ago our Ilyushenka was born.

We have given an example of a poem, and the parents themselves will enter the number of years and the name of the child.

While the children are reading the message, a cheerful pirate song with screams and shouts is heard from the next room. Participants of the quest go there and see scattered pirate accessories and a message: “There will be no holiday for you! The treasure chest is safely hidden, and we will not give it to you. Yo-ho-ho! Nearby, the children find another envelope: “Maybe we’ll give it back. For 13 gold coins, you will receive a map that will help you find the treasure."

Map Search

  1. Task No. 1. Print pirate slang and transcripts from the Internet. Children must guess what corsair expressions mean. For correct answers they receive chocolate coins.
  2. Task No. 2. Each participant receives a balloon on which they need to draw as many people as possible. The one who has more drawn people on the “island” receives a chocolate coin.
  3. Task No. 3. Players are given laces on which they need to tie as many knots as possible. The winner is awarded a chocolate coin.
  4. Task No. 4. Children are asked riddles on a pirate theme. For each correct answer - a coin.

  6. Task No. 6. The next message is hidden in the corridor where the balloons are hanging. In one of them, the children find a note: “Do you want a map? Then look for a compass! He’s where the cook prepares delicious food.”
  7. Task No. 7. The participants go to the kitchen and find a compass and another message in the oven: “Now you will need a key to open the treasure chest. It can be found using the following clue: the house is made of tin, and the residents in it are lead. Guess what, the key is yours!
  8. Task No. 8. In the mailbox, children see a key and a letter with the following content: “Two bellies, four ears. Stuffed with the ear, lies under the ear. Guess what it is and get a card."
  9. Task No. 9. Under the sofa cushion lies a new letter: “No, we changed our minds, we won’t just give up the card. Solve another riddle: “Egorka, the busybody, started cleaning, danced around the room, looked back - the floor was clean.” Near the robot vacuum cleaner, the guys find a bottle in which a card is hidden.

Everything you need is collected: map, compass and key. Using the compass, you need to expand the map, which shows the layout of the apartment and the arrows where to go. Participants find a chest, open it with a key and receive their gifts and pirate certificates of honor.

Give your child an unforgettable holiday, because it is not so much an expensive gift that is important to him, but positive emotions.
