I'm passionate about cosplay - I love transforming into anime characters. Of course, I don’t miss the opportunity to come up with some mystical image for Halloween. This year, my friends and I are holding a large-scale costume party in honor of this holiday, the theme: computer anime game Genshin Impact. I chose the main character and decided to dress her up as a dead bride. She customized the dresses and veils herself: she tore and stained the edges to make it look shabby and believable.

We never took this holiday seriously, unlike birthdays, New Years or March 8th. We celebrated Halloween for the first time last year and that was because it was a collective decision. Then we already lived in the TikTok house PopStar House and, in general, together with the guys we decided to come up with images and shoot content.
We put on pink reptile eco-leather raincoats and did red and pink makeup. The lipstick was deliberately smeared a little. Chains were used as decorations. The result was such a gloomy and even slightly gothic image.

This photo was taken in 2014, when we were having as much fun as we could. Halloween has never been as popular a holiday as it is now. In our country it was not accepted, and even now it is not particularly accepted. The costumes of those who noted, as a rule, were standard: bloody nurses, vampires... But I chose a different option to stand out from the crowd. I dressed up as the main character of my favorite Stanley Kubrick film, A Clockwork Orange. In the film, almost all the characters wore hats. As I expected, no one recognized my character, but this did not bother me.
And my friend transformed into a doll from the movie “Saw”, and, in my opinion, she managed to convey the character! Now, seven years later, looking at this photo, I feel a little cringe, but for that time it was cool.
Zombie
In recent years, cinematic films in which the main characters are zombies have become especially popular. What does a zombie Halloween costume consist of? To transform into the living dead, you will need old clothes. Shorts or jeans, a T-shirt or shirt will do. Here's how to make the costume:
- Tear wardrobe items, make weird holes and scratches.

One of the last Halloweens I dressed up as a demoness. I had complex makeup with red and gold streaks. I also put on black lenses. In general, I want to somehow organize a Halloween party myself: come up with decorations, treats and various activities.

I don’t consider Halloween to be an important holiday, for me it’s just a great occasion to dress up in an unusual way, fool around and take cool photos! Last year, a themed photo shoot also coincided with our anniversary, which we ended up celebrating in a field dotted with pumpkins.
My husband and I came up with fantastic images: I reincarnated as the goddess of the underworld Mictlancihuatl, and Artem, respectively, as her husband Mictlantecuhtli. We went to a field, where we lit candles in several dozen carved pumpkins and blew colored smoke, and they also placed a live raven on my shoulder. It turned out very cool!

As a result, on the most terrible holiday, I decided to try on the glamorous image of Emma from the movie “Scream Queens”. What are we celebrating on Halloween 2021?
This holiday appeared in the pre-Christian era and exists to this day. Among the Celtic tribes, the year was divided into only two parts: winter and summer. Summer ended on the last day of October. People were collecting the last harvest and celebrating the New Year. It was believed that winter was coming that night.
The New Year was marked by the fact that the inhabitants of the other world came to earth. Only on this night did the gates open between the world of the living and the dead. People were afraid of the coming of the dead. They dressed up in animal skins, extinguished the fire in their houses, left various treats on the doorstep to appease the newcomers, and went to the fires that the Druids lit. There they performed the ritual of animal sacrifice. After this, people went to their homes, taking with them the sacred fire, which they brought into the house. With this fire they brought peace, prosperity and peace to the house.
If the modern New Year is associated with a decorated Christmas tree, then among the Celts the main symbol of the holiday was a pumpkin, inside of which a fire was lit. This symbol not only meant the end of the harvest, but also scared away evil spirits.
The Celts passed this tradition on from one generation to the next. With the advent of the Christian faith, the holiday was abolished. But stories about this holiday did not subside in the homes of the Celts. In the ninth century, Pope Gregory 3 moved the holiday to November 1. By this he wanted to get rid of pagan traditions and show the beginning of a new life. But his idea took an unexpected turn and Samhain (as Halloween was previously called) began to be celebrated again.
The holiday received a new name in England. At first it sounded like All Hallows Even, but then the name was shortened to “Halloween” and that is how it remains to this day.
Now the holiday is celebrated according to ancient traditions. People also dress up in different costumes and go out into the streets. The symbol of the holiday also remained unchanged - a terrifying pumpkin with candles inside. And children who go from house to house in search of sweets represent the messengers of the world of the dead. They accept gifts in the form of sweets, and anyone who does not give the children sweets risks meeting a real representative of the other world.
Vampire costume: what to add
A vampire cloak is a universal detail of the image. To make the outfit complete, girls will have to work hard and choose the remaining elements in the same style. Tight black dresses are ideally combined with a raincoat, emphasizing the grace of the silhouette.

Now, as for the bottom of the suit. A vampire is an image built on female charisma and attractiveness. Therefore, choose appropriate shoes: with heels, wedges made of polished black or red leather. High heels in combination with stockings look defiant and daring - this is exactly what you need. If you decide to base your look on a mini dress, you can safely wear high-heeled boots. It will look no less impressive.
Vampire accessories: what to choose
The attributes for the ghoul outfit will significantly enhance the impression made on others. For example, gloves. A guy can choose elegant leather or white thin cotton gloves. Vampire girls simply must look for high gloves made of thin silk, kid, or black lace for a party. This detail of the outfit will give them a special charm.
If you couldn't find gloves, don't worry. Take the time to get a manicure to match your look. Nails should be long, pointed and preferably black.
