New Year's Eve at the women's club

Comp. I.S. Shabanova Homework: bring photographs of feasts from different eras, remember traditional family New Year's toasts. The progress of the holiday

New Year's call signs sound to the tune “A Christmas tree was born in the forest.”

Presenter : New Year is the most fun, bright and joyful holiday, both adults and children love it, and everyone celebrates it in their own way. Some go to a restaurant, others celebrate the New Year at home, with their families, others go out into nature in the winter forest, and I invite you to go today on an unforgettable New Year's journey in space and time. And before a long journey, I suggest filling your glasses and drinking to good luck, since we need luck everywhere and always: in work, in personal affairs, and, of course, on the road.

May the New Year give you good luck, May you solve difficult problems and bring success with it, Happiness and love to boot! (The sound of wheels, locomotive whistles, screams, station noise)

Presenter : Friends, we board the train, into the soft carriage of the New Year's Express and set off on a journey around the New Year's planet. And the first stop is our closest neighbor, Poland. (Polish music is played, a song with several chords.)

Presenter : Warsaw - the capital of Poland - on New Year's holidays turns into a real booth, carnival processions take place day and night, men dress up in women's costumes, children paint their faces, and the streets are decorated with huge bouquets of balloons. At 12 o'clock at night, when the chimes strike, the residents of Warsaw begin to pop balloons, and the result is a kind of New Year's fireworks. We will also arrange New Year's fireworks. (Competition: 3-4 people are called, each is given a balloon, which, at the command of the presenter, they need to sit on and burst) Whose shot of the bursting balloon will be the first is the winner. (The sound of wheels and horns sounds.)

Host : We arrived in Hungary. In this country, on New Year's Eve, children's whistles, pipes, and trumpets disappear from the shelves. According to popular belief, the shrill and not always pleasant sound of these instruments drives away evil spirits from the home and brings prosperity and joy into the home. And I suggest you please the ears of good spirits. Let's play the New Year's hymn “A Christmas tree was born in the forest” on these simple instruments. (3-4 people receive pipes, whistles, etc. and play a melody)

Presenter : We arrived in Italy. (Italian music sounds, for example, songs by A. Celentano, T. Cutugno, etc.) On New Year's Eve in Italy, old, leaky utensils are thrown out of windows: chairs, lamps, buckets - there is such a sign that if you throw an old thing out the window, then in the new year you will buy the same new one. And every family always bakes a New Year's cake, where many different surprises are hidden. And we have prepared such a pie for you, take a piece and find out what awaits you in the new year.

(Test - task: on a large beautiful tray there is a sheet of thick paper, beautifully painted to look like a pie, which consists of small squares or sectors - pieces of the pie. On the inside of the square (sector) there are drawings - this is what awaits the participants: heart - love , book - knowledge, 1 kopeck - money, key - new apartment, sun - success, letter - news, car - buy a car, a person's face - new acquaintance, arrow - achieving a goal, watch - changes in life, road - trip, gift - surprise, lightning - tests, glass - holidays, etc.)

Presenter : We've taken a ride around Europe, and now we'll go to hot, exotic Africa, but there are no trains there. We will go by car. (noise of a car engine) You know, in one of the tribes, in Kenya, on New Year's Day, when they meet, fellow tribesmen spit at each other - this is how they wish each other health, happiness and good luck. And in the southern regions of Côte d'Ivoire, locals organize races on all fours with an egg in their mouth. The winner of the race is the one who reaches the finish line first and does not break the shell, a symbol of the fragility and fragility of life. Exotic, of course, customs, but don’t worry, we don’t spit at each other and won’t have egg races, but will accept congratulations from local residents. Women dressed as Africans wish those present a Happy New Year.

Presenter : We continue our journey, transfer from the car to the ship and sail to Japan. On December 31, the Japanese begin general cleaning, and at 12 o'clock at night they go to bed in order to get up before dawn and celebrate the New Year with the first rays of the rising sun. Japan is a mysterious and incomprehensible country, whose inhabitants have many talents, one of them is reading the thoughts of another person. So, we are in the salon of a famous Japanese magician. And we will be able to hear the thoughts of any of the guests. Test joke. A cassette with individual lines from the songs is prepared in advance. 1. “Help me, help...” 2. “You abandoned me, you abandoned me...” 3. “Those eyes opposite are a kaleidoscope of lights...”, etc. When the magician approaches the next guest and begins to move his hands over the person’s head, the sound engineer turns on the cassette and everyone hears the guest’s thoughts. The Magician's comments on the thoughts heard are required. Up to 8-10 “thoughts” on a cassette are enough.) Presenter : Although the sun rises in the east, the New Year comes there much later than in the west. This year the New Year according to the eastern calendar will come... It will be the year of the Pig or Boar. Who do you think will tell us what awaits us next year? Well, of course, Piglet and his friend Vini.

(Music from the movie “Winnie the Pooh” plays, Piglet and Winnie the Pooh appear)

Piglet talks about the Year of the Pig (based on periodicals) and reads wishes in verse to representatives of different signs of the Zodiac. (see Sat. New Year. Jokes and practical jokes, 2003. – P.26-29)

Presenter : It’s good to celebrate the New Year at a party, but at home it’s still better, we’re returning home to Russia. (It sounds like “Barynya” or Russian dance song.)

How do our compatriots celebrate the New Year? Differently. What a time it is - so is the New Year. Therefore, I invite you to hop into a time machine and, with the help of our respected guide, travel through different historical eras. (The chorus from the Time Machine song “New Turn” sounds)

Guide : You know, dear friends, that until 1700 the New Year was not celebrated in Russia. On December 15, 1699, Peter I issued a decree that on January 1, 1700, a new chronology in Rus' begins, on this day it is necessary to fire cannons, burn resin, decorate the house with spruce and fir branches, and also “have fun with dancing, music and games." Soon the Christmas tree became an obligatory decoration and even a symbol of the New Year holidays. It was used to decorate not only city but also country houses. But the new Soviet government began to perceive the tree as an attribute of Christmas, and, therefore, religion, and therefore for 17 years after 1918 the tree was banned. The green beauty returned to us only in 1947.

It is from this year that our excursion will begin. So, time back! (The call signs of the program “Time” sound. Music by G. Sviridov)

The presenter announces the competition “Watches with a surprise” :

In front of you is a watch with a surprise, and the owner of this surprise is sitting among you. Who is this? Nobody knows yet. Even me. Your invitation cards have numbers on them. The same number of numbers is in our lottery machine, with the help of which I will determine the first candidate for tonight's prize. So, attention, I invite the owner of the invitation card number... And now you will choose your opponent, take another ticket from the lottery drum. And the second candidate for the prize is the holder of the ticket number... Attention! What is the point of the whole idea? The one of you who wins the first competition moves the clock hand by one number (by 5 minutes) and uses the lottery machine to determine his next opponent. So, we play until the minute hand is at 11:55. The one who does this will receive our biggest prize.

(The clock is initially set at 11 o'clock.)

1 competition . In Korea, young women's favorite New Year's activity is high jumping. And we, since the women are not very young, will organize a Kangaroo competition. You need to walk or run a distance holding a matchbox between your knees. The fallen box should be picked up and the competition continues. The participant who reaches the finish line first wins.

I congratulate you. You have won this competition, move the hand on the clock to 11 hours 5 minutes. You stay in the game. Using the lottery machine you can choose your opponent.

Guide: Five-minute pause. We Russians have always loved to take a walk. Especially on New Year's. We break away so much that we then grab the empty pocket, but it’s too late. Let's remember how we celebrated the New Year holidays under different rulers, of whom there were many in our lifetime.

I propose to start our excursion into history from 1947 (It is proposed to remember the features of the New Year celebration in Stalin’s time, you can show photographs, tell any stories related to the holiday, remember typical toasts, favorite dishes of that time)

Material for the guide

1947: Stalin gave the order Toast: “For the leader of all times and peoples!” Drink: vodka Snack: mashed potatoes, flounder, meat cutlets, fried meat, cheese, herring, lard, homemade pickles Average salary: 502 (pre-reform) rubles. Few people remember, but it was Stalin who made a royal gift to Soviet citizens in 1947, declaring January 1 a day off. And before this, the New Year had never been officially celebrated. No, our people have always loved to take a walk, but this particular holiday began to differ from the others with the tart smell of Christmas trees. The tradition of throwing all the best onto the table appeared right away. People had not yet really recovered from the war and could not afford special culinary delights. The village came to the rescue. The food for the New Year's feast was brought from the village, from relatives. But we still had to spend money. How much did the holiday cost for a family of four? Festive menu: smoked sausage - 50 rub./kg 2 herrings - 4 rub./kg bottle of vodka - 14 rub. 40 kopecks 60 half a kilo of cheese - 60 rubles/kg 100 g of red caviar - 250 rubles/kg loaf of bread - 7 rubles. can of Leningrad sprats - 4 rubles. potatoes - 1 rub./kg 2 kg of pork - 25 rub./kg. Total: 185 rub. 40 kopecks

The average salary would be enough for almost three such New Years. (the clock hands move to 11 hours 10 minutes)

Presenter: 2nd competition. In front of you is a box and 7 ribbons peeking out from under the lid, with a prize tied to one of the ribbons. The one who draws the ribbon with the prize, alas, loses (since he will already receive the prize). (A competition is held. The next candidate is selected. The clock is set to 11:15 am.)

Guide: Five-minute pause. I propose to remember Khrushchev’s times.

Material for the guide

1962: Meat is not a friend to corn Toast: “For Soviet space!” Drink: vodka, champagne, dry wine, port Snack: potatoes stewed with meat, cabbage rolls, vinaigrette, oranges, beets with mayonnaise and garlic, herring with butter and onions, salmon, raw smoked sausage, cheese, lard, apples Average salary: 86 rubles Khrushchev's New Year differed from Stalin's in comparative prosperity. But his celebration did not turn into a drinking party. According to statistics, a Soviet person drank only 3 liters of alcohol per year in terms of pure alcohol. Today is 18! Around those years, another tradition appeared - to open the event with champagne. They also got a piece of salmon for the holiday, fortunately there was plenty of it in stores. Sandwiches with caviar and ham - these were the delicacies of that time. But Khrushchev’s desire to put the people on a corn diet was not understood by the masses. Festive menu: bottle of vodka - 3 rubles. 62 kop. bottle of champagne - 4 rubles, 70 kopecks. bottle of port - 2 rubles. 10kop. wine “Black eyes” - 4 rubles. 50 kopecks 2 kg of pork - 1 rub. 80 kop. per kilogram 2 herrings - 56 kopecks/kg salmon - 7 rubles. 90 kopecks per kilogram 100 g of red caviar - 8 rubles / kg oranges - 2 rubles. 50 kopecks/kg raw smoked sausage - 4 rubles. 60 kopecks/kg, half a kilo of cheese - 1 rub. 30 kopecks/kg Total: 33 rub. 23 kopecks Almost half a month's salary! (clocks set to 11:20)

Presenter: 3rd competition. Using an ordinary pipette, fill the glasses with the drink, whoever is faster. The loser makes a toast and drinks the contents (Out of grief) (The competition takes place. The next candidate is selected. The clock is set to 11:25)

Guide: Five-minute pause: We are in the Brezhnev era.

Material for the guide

1980: What a disgusting thing this jellied fish of yours is! Toast: “For a peaceful sky above your head!” Drink: Armenian or Moldavian cognac, vodka, champagne, Georgian wine, port Snack: Olivier, jellied fish, sprats, oven-baked chicken, mashed potatoes, Napoleon cake, apples, oranges, tangerines, vinaigrette Average salary: 177 rubles 70 kopecks The Brezhnev era was a turning point in the economy of the New Year's table. The people seemed to have more money, but there was not enough food for everyone. Although, on the other hand, everyone tried to get their hands on not only green peas, but also red caviar... The cult film “The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!” brought variety to the Russian menu. Jellied fish appeared on the tables. But this dish did not become traditional: sturgeon was then an incredible delicacy, and therefore pollock ended up under the jelly. “What a disgusting thing this jellied fish of yours is!” — following the hero of the film, the people became indignant and returned to the herring. By 1980, another New Year's cult symbol appeared - Olivier salad. (Salad recipe, as we did in the 70-80s, and the original version) A bowl of this culinary miracle cost on average 2 rubles 45 kopecks! And the highest aerobatics was a dish called “chicken in the oven.” Every self-respecting housewife considered it a matter of honor to prepare it before the chimes struck. A special chic is to coat the chicken sides with mayonnaise and thereby achieve a golden brown crust. Minus another 2 rubles 30 kopecks from the family budget. Again, don’t forget about white-headed, “Soviet sparkling”, Georgian red, ingredients for “Napoleon”. It turns out to be about 50 rubles. You can celebrate 3.5 New Years on your salary! Apparently, it’s not for nothing that the older generation loves to remember those times so much... (The clock is set to 11:30 am)

Presenter: 4th competition . On New Year's Day, the most unusual and unexpected competitions are held. And here is one of them: look carefully at yourself and count the buttons - whoever has the most buttons wins. (A competition takes place. The next candidate is selected. The clock is set to 11:35 am.)

Guide: Five-minute pause. Let's remember the Gorbachev era.

Material for the guide.

1987: We must drive away! Toast: “So that the ruble stands and there is money!” Drinks: vodka, moonshine, dry and homemade wines. Snacks: any meat, sandwiches with sprats, herring “under a fur coat,” mashed potatoes. Average salary: 242 rubles People greeted the new year of 1987 in bewilderment. If just a year ago food was difficult, but could be obtained, then by the height of perestroika they had completely run out. The depressing mood was also intensified by the announced fight against drunkenness. Vodka - only after 2 pm and no more than two pieces per hand. I also had to forget about the treasured 3.62 - they were already asking for a chervonets for a bottle. We got out as best we could. They insisted on something, added sugar, raisins, yeast and pulled a rubber glove over the bottle. Sipping moonshine, citizens scolded General Secretary Gorbachev and did not know that thanks to the fight against drunkenness, they began to live on average three years longer, mortality associated with alcohol consumption fell by as much as 52 percent, and the birth rate increased from 18 to 21 children per 1000 people ! Due to the shortage, food prices became market prices. I mean, they now had to be bought in the markets. On average, the New Year's table already cost 150 rubles. From the salary after the banquet, only 92 rubles remained... (the clock is set to 11:40 am)

Presenter: 5th competition . Competition “Decorate the Christmas tree”. It is necessary to decorate each other with toys with your eyes closed. The one who hangs the most toys wins. (A competition takes place. The next candidate is selected. The clock is set to 11 hours 45 minutes.)

Guide: Let's remember the difficult times of Yeltsin.

Material for the guide

1995: Pineapples and Snickers Toast: “For: private property!” Drink: vodka, pseudo-liqueur “Amaretto”, pseudo-cognac “Napoleon” Snack: salad of crab sticks, dumplings, pink salmon, pineapple Average salary: 472,500 rubles (before redenomination) The latest new trends have added optimism to Russians. True, not everyone. There is a lot of food, no money. But it’s not customary for us to save money during the New Year. Avocados, coconuts and other exotics were present on our tables in small quantities. The family in which the pineapple was seen was generally considered wealthy. And young people became interested in bathing this fruit in disgusting Italian pseudo-champagne. Drinking vodka while watching Yeltsin congratulate you has become unfashionable. “Napoleon”, “Amaretto” - we felt like representatives of the ownership class. We later learned that this cognac was not “Napoleon” at all. As they also learned that not everyone can be owners... The “Iron Curtain” collapsed long ago, and therefore our people began to spy more and more actively at the tables of foreigners. A sign of good manners was a goose with apples. And “Speakers”, cut into five slices... At the same time, Olivier had a competitor. People quickly got the hang of cutting up crab sticks, which had no trace of crab in them, mixing them with rice and the ubiquitous mayonnaise, and passing the result off as a super dish. And again - caviar for 400 thousand rubles, vodka for 50 thousand and champagne (the bad one) for 42 thousand. In order to set the table, the salary is not enough... (The clock is set to 11:50 am)

Presenter: 6th competition . This hat contains different words, you take turns taking out, reading, remembering and singing lines from songs where these words appear. But the songs should be about winter and the New Year holiday (Christmas tree, round dance, frost, frost, snowflake, icicle, winter, hut, January, fairy tale, Snow Maiden,). The winner will receive a festive surprise (a New Year's tree toy or a symbol of the coming year). (clocks set to 11:55)

Guide: Our time machine has returned to the present day.

Material for the guide

2006: For some - everything, for others - Olivier Toast: “Well, so that’s all!” (family New Year's toast competition) Drinks: vodka, champagne, beer, cocktails, cognacs, wines, tequila (more than 50 items in total) Snack: fried meat, squid, shrimp, pineapples, red caviar, black caviar, goose with apples, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries (more than 1000 items in total) Average salary: 9 thousand rubles Since Yeltsin’s time, everything has changed. Perhaps only Olivier remained unchanged. Nevertheless, the New Year, with its gluttony and libation, has become the main holiday of Russians. It’s as if we believed in the slogan “You only live once!” and we try to celebrate the change of dates as if we were doing it for the last time. You can't get away with just one bottle. We have different incomes. And some will have everything on the table, others will have Olivier. “The average Russian” has become a conventional concept. And yet, let’s try to calculate how much the New Year’s table would cost us if we had a limited menu from the 80s. Vodka, champagne, salmon, chicken in the oven, sausage, wine, herring “under a fur coat”... It adds up to about two thousand. You can go for a walk 4.5 times on an average salary! But we all understand that the New Year happens only once every 365 days, and such a thing should be celebrated as it should be. And let’s note: according to the calculations of marketing companies, on the night of January 1 and the subsequent days of the holiday, as much will be eaten and drunk as consumed in two normal months. At the same time, many celebrate the New Year not at home, but in restaurants where the menu is more refined. Richer gentlemen fly to celebrate the beginning of the new year in overseas countries, sometimes to places where there is no snow. But still the tables are set, glasses are filled, toasts are made.

Presenter (sets the clock to 12 o'clock and raises a toast): Dear friends! People say: “The best song is one that has not yet been sung, the best city is one that has not yet been built, the best year is one that has not yet been lived.” So may the New Year bring us 365 sunny days, an abundance of good meetings and smiles. May your dreams and plans come true! Happy New Year! With new happiness! Friends, but what would New Year be without Santa Claus? We will now send a telegram to dear Santa Claus, I have already composed the text, but I forgot to write “adjectives”. So from each guest - one “adjective”. (The presenter writes down all the spoken adjectives in a row on the form, then reads aloud what happened.)

Text of the telegram : “... Grandfather Frost! All members of the ... women's club are looking forward to your ... arrival. New Year is the most... holiday of the year. We will sing...songs, dance...dances for you...in the mood! Finally... New Year is coming! How I don’t want to talk about... work. But we promise that we will work well and receive only... a salary. And those who are retired will raise... grandchildren and... harvest at the dacha. So quickly open your... bag and give us... gifts. With respect to you, our... aunties!” We wish that Santa Claus brings you a bag of health! He distributed the fun to everyone, brought him a glass of champagne, took his illness and melancholy into a bag, and hid it somewhere in the forest? May the New Year be generous, May it not skimp on happiness, May it light up the stars on time, So that all your wishes come true. Literature :
