It’s always easier to tell with specific examples, so we are happy to share one of our scenarios for the New Year’s party for a multi-age Montessori group at the Montessori Children’s Center “Vershina”.

What is important , in our opinion, is that the scenario about countries and continents, like all other holiday scenarios, was created based on the real interests of our children . Usually, after a summer vacation, children come impressed by their trips around the world or Russia, share with everyone their discoveries and feelings about the new country, souvenirs and gifts - almost the whole of September is full of their messages about the countries. It’s great that parents are creative and happy to help their child talk about the country they visited. National costumes (be it a kimono or sambrero), musical instruments (harp or tam-tams), features of folk cuisine (try real Uzbek pilaf with your hands or Japanese seaweed with chopsticks) - all this leaves a lasting impression and strengthens interest in a particular another country. This is how one of the themes of the matinee was born, the script of which we want to share with readers. But first , let's talk about the SECRETS that allow the holiday to come true !

Our holiday is a powerful, colorful fireworks display of emotions for each participant in the event - and that means EVERYONE, since we are preparing it all TOGETHER! Parents are immersed in the pre-holiday bustle long before the holiday - they come to rehearsals a month in advance, together with their children they come up with dances, write poems in secret from moms or dads (depending on whose holiday it is). The main thing for us is not to turn this into a tedious obligation, but to create a space of pleasure, creativity, and cohesion .

The magic triangle CHILDREN - PARENTS - TEACHERS is the first main secret! Everyone solves their own problems, each has their own role, mission.

CHILDREN learn from the example of their parents how to prepare for the holiday, take part in the holiday and enjoy the holiday! The closeness of parents at this moment helps to cope with the fears of the first failure, gives calmness and courage.

PARENTS - during the matinee, they themselves are on stage, and they begin to better understand the worries and experiences of their children. Participating in celebrations is a good way to meet other parents and children, which undoubtedly leads to team bonding. Parents have the opportunity to express themselves and open up.

TEACHERS solve problems in working with parents. During preparation for the holiday, closer cooperation between parent and teacher is established. The center's teachers and psychologists have the opportunity to see the relationship between parents and children in a different setting.

The second main secret is the deep semantic load of the theme and plots of each holiday. These are not demonstration performances or meaningless entertaining “action” - behind each scenario lies a deep thought, true values - friendship, sympathy, family, patriotism, love for the Motherland, world peace, self-confidence, etc.

These spiritual values are in each of us and our task is to pass this on to our children. Adults convey this to their children emotionally and with feeling, living it with the children in the holiday story. Throughout the entire celebration, it is important that the entire audience is not a passive spectator, but is involved in the action as much as possible. Competitions, questions, dances, surprises - this is what allows all children to be active participants throughout the matinee.

All performances are prepared separately, and therefore at the holiday a most fascinating performance appears before the eyes of children and parents, and the element of surprise has its amazing effect. This is another of the many main secrets of this holiday.
