Today we invited you to the competition program “Hello, golden autumn!” Outside, autumn is a wonderful time of year. Autumn amazes with the richness of its outfits, colors, and fascinating combination of colors. Bright crimson and gold colors catch the eye, and blurry-transparent halftones attract. Rowan berries froze on the trees in scarlet droplets, autumn foliage shimmers in different shades, lanterns of autumn flowers flash brightly, and the bottomless autumn sky pleases the eye with an abundance of stars. Presenter 2: It’s autumn outside the windows... We call it different things: cold, golden, generous, rainy, sad... But be that as it may, autumn is a wonderful time of year, it’s the time of harvesting, summing up field work, it’s the beginning studying, this is preparation for a long and cold winter... And no matter how it is outside - cold or warm - the native land is always beautiful, attractive, charming! Presenter 1: October has already arrived - the grove is already shaking off the last leaves from its naked branches; The autumn chill has blown in - the road is freezing. The stream still runs behind the mill, babbling, But the pond has already frozen; my neighbor hurries to the departing fields with his desire, and the winter suffers from mad fun, and the barking of dogs awakens the sleeping oak groves. With these soul-penetrating lines from the poem by A.S. Pushkin “Autumn” we would like to open a competition program “Hello, golden autumn!” You already understand that our conversation today will be about autumn, about this slightly sad, but so amazing and generous season of gifts. Presenter 2: Remember what wonderful, unforgettable poetic lines are dedicated to the beautiful autumn! How many beautiful paintings have been written about the time of the fascinating withering of nature! Famous poets and artists admired its beauty and sang its praises! I am announcing the first competition - a literary quiz. You must name the author of the lines whose poem will be read. For each correct answer, teams are awarded 3 points. Reader 1: It's a sad time! Ouch charm! Your farewell beauty is pleasant to me - I love the lush decay of nature, the forests dressed in crimson and gold, in their canopies the sound of the wind and fresh breath, and the skies are covered with wavy darkness, and the rare ray of sun, and the first frosts, and the distant threats of gray winter. (A.S. Pushkin) Reader 2: The fields are compressed, the groves are bare, There is fog and dampness from the water. The sun quietly rolled down like a wheel behind the blue mountains. The dug-up road sleeps. Today she dreamed that there was very, very little time left to wait for the gray winter. Oh, and I myself, in the ringing thicket, saw yesterday in the fog: The red moon as a foal Harnessed to our sleigh. (S. Yesenin) Reader 3: The lingonberries are ripening, The days have become colder, And the bird’s cry makes my heart sadder. Flocks of birds fly away, beyond the blue sea. All the trees shine in a multi-colored dress. The sun laughs less often, There is no incense in the flowers. Soon Autumn will wake up and cry awake. (K. Balmont) Reader 4: Autumn. A fairytale palace, open for everyone to see. Clearings of forest roads, looking into the lakes. Like at an exhibition of paintings: Halls, halls, halls, halls of elms, ash trees, aspen trees in unprecedented gilding. (A.A. Fet) Reader 5: In the original autumn there is a short but wonderful time - The whole day is as if crystal, And the evenings are radiant... Where the cheerful sickle walked and the ear fell, Now everything is empty - space everywhere, Only thin cobwebs hair. Glistens on the idle furrow. The air is empty, the birds can no longer be heard, But the first winter storms are still far away - And clear and warm azure is pouring onto the resting field... (F.I. Tyutchev) The jury sums up the results of the homework and the poetry competition. Presenter 1: I have no doubt that when listening to lines from the poems of great poets, you painted pictures of beautiful autumn landscapes. Your next task is to show your literary abilities and imagination, reveal your talents and compose a story or poem based on this autumn landscape. Time to complete the task is 10 minutes. (Landscapes are shown on the screen, music sounds). Team representatives read out their works. The jury gives scores. Teams receive from 1 to 4 points depending on their place. Presenter 2: And now that you have compiled such wonderful stories about autumn, remembered and reflected its beauty and charm, it will not be difficult for you to complete the next competition task. And it lies in the fact that it is necessary to select epithets for the word autumn. You know that an epithet is a vivid definition that creates a vivid idea of a subject. Epithets should be divided into four groups. The first is epithets that convey the external beauty of autumn, elegance, color (elegant, bright, crimson, fiery, golden, purple, multi-colored). The second group should reflect the nature of the autumn weather (rainy, warm, damp, windy, foggy, dirty, stormy, dry). The third group is associated with the time factor, the duration of autumn (long, protracted, late, early, belated). The fourth group should reflect a person’s emotional perception of autumn, the nature of the feelings that arise during this period (beautiful, joyless, sad, melancholy, kind, wonderful, thoughtful, sad, glorious, gloomy). Teams are given time to complete the task - 5 minutes, after which the jury processes the answers and sums up the results of the competition. Presenter 1: And now a quiz for those who read a lot and know a lot. 1. Which month is considered the first month of autumn in Ireland? (August) 2. No wonder artists loved and still love to paint golden autumn. At this time, every clearing, every forest edge asks to be painted. Presenter 2: Only in autumn can you truly appreciate the beauty of trees such as ash, aspen, rowan and maple. A tall, large rowan tree looks like a girl dressed up for a holiday, all in red beads and earrings. And the little mountain ash is a living forest fairy tale: a firebird sat down in the tall grass and spread its fiery tail. And what a variety of bright colors the beautiful autumn delights our eyes with! Presenter 1: Now it’s time for the next competition, where we have to test your perception of the color scheme. I would like to congratulate you once again on the coming of autumn. Let's not see the negative in autumn, let's not yearn for the past summer. Let's look for positive moments in autumn, and it will definitely give us joyful moments. Presenter 2: What is autumn? Autumn means bright leaves, multi-colored, like part of a kind child’s drawing, a subtle smell of smoke, a crackling fire in the fireplace. Autumn is a time to take stock and analyze what has come true. And after that - wash away all the failures with pouring rain and breathe in the fresh air of the future, in which the sky will be clear and cloudless, transparent and weightless, as only happens in autumn. Let your autumn be warm, bright, kind and give only pleasant emotions. See you again!

Dance competition

The program of the evening can be opened with jokes for high school students for the autumn ball. You can play it in the form of a “sun-rain” game. Props will include large umbrellas, like those used on beaches or near ice cream refrigerators. The conditions are such that when the leader says “rain,” everyone must hide under umbrellas, and when the leader says “sun,” they must run out and continue dancing. The presenter also counts: “One, two, three!” - and removes from the game those who do not have time to hide. Three or four guys walk randomly around the hall with umbrellas, so that the guys don’t try to “reserve” a place for themselves during the dance closer to the umbrella.

Then competitions for high school students (2013 was no different from previous ones) can be complicated by the fact that the presenter announces the number of people who can hide under one umbrella. All “extra” are eliminated from the game. First you can name the number 10, the second time - 5, and the third time - 3. The remaining 9 or 12 people will compete further - from them you can choose a “king” and “queen”.

Choosing the “king” and “queen” of the ball

There are interesting staged competitions for high school students for the autumn ball, which are rounds of a larger one. Helpers from among the guests are always assigned to help young people, and high school boys come to help the girls.
