An active life and movement are the key to good health. A person’s health, his physical and mental state depend 50% on how a person lives. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the right attitude towards health from childhood. If a student learns to value his health and understand the importance of an active lifestyle, then he has a great chance of preserving his health in adulthood. To teach schoolchildren to set priorities correctly and to treat health correctly, health days are held in educational institutions.
About Health Day at School
One of the consequences of physical inactivity (decrease in activity level) is an increase in the level of diseases among schoolchildren. That is why the question of how to introduce schoolchildren to an active way of life is relevant and important for the education system as a whole.
In order to promote technologies for maintaining health, Health Days are held in schools. This sports festival is mainly held to coincide with World Health Day, which is celebrated on April 7. On this day, in 1948, WHO was founded.
The main tasks that the ongoing activities are aimed at:
- development, increasing interest in sports competitions, physical education lessons,
- identifying the best athletes who can compete for the school in various competitions,
- introduction to new sports,
- raising the self-esteem of schoolchildren, their confidence in their capabilities,
- carrying out recreational activities in order to increase the body’s resistance to disease,
- increasing interest in the principles of a healthy, active lifestyle.
Physical education teachers, deputy director, teacher-organizer, and class teachers are involved in organizing and holding Health Day, developing a scenario, and preparing sports competitions.

Motto for school health day
World Health Day is held annually under a specific theme. Health Day is a chance, an opportunity to mobilize forces to fight a specific health problem.
A sports festival, which is held in a school institution, always has its main motto, under which all events are held. The motto defines the main theme, the main idea, and the direction of activity.
Therefore, the motto should be concise, specific, and understandable to all participants in the sporting event.
Options for slogans and mottos under which Health Days can be held:
- “We need sports, we are friends with our health,”
- "Health for all"
- "Health is the path to success"
- “I, you, he, she - we are a healthy country”
- “My choice is health.”
Since Health Day is, first of all, a sports holiday, sports competitions will definitely take place within the school’s walls on this day.
Competitions always involve competition between teams. Therefore, teams need to prepare their mottos:

When preparing wall newspapers, it is necessary to remember that they must be informational, colorful, complemented by bright, accurate illustrations.

You can create wall newspapers in various ways:
- a wall newspaper can be decorated with photographs of schoolchildren who are involved in sports activities,

Games for health day at school
Sports games help you relax, recharge yourself with a positive, cheerful mood. Such games are included in the process of holding sporting events in order to add emotional coloring and diversify the holiday.
Game "Around the World"
The game is one of the quest options. There are many points that each team must pass. At each new point, participants receive a specific test of a sporting nature.
It can be:
- jumping rope,
- push ups,
- running with obstacles,
- squats.
For correctly completed tasks, the team gains points.
Game "Five Points"
A team of players must go from start to finish as a whole group. The task is that everyone moves together, having five points of contact with the ground (for example: two walk with their feet, they have one more participant on their shoulders, another jumps on one leg and holds on to someone from the team).
Game "For the Rope"
A variation of the classic tug-of-war competition. The nuance of the game is that the participants pull with their backs turned to their opponents.
Game "Conductor Ball"
All players receive balls of different colors. They line up at the start. Everyone inflates their balloon to any size. Then, at the leader’s whistle, the players release their balls. Everyone must move to the place where their ball fell. The task is to inflate and release your balloon and move to the finish line. The competition is fun because the balls have a habit of flying in different directions, so getting to the finish line is not an easy task.
Game "Colored balls"
Two teams take part. They get one ball each. One player from each team goes to the start. They exchange balls, that is, they give their ball into the hands of the opponent. After the judge's signal, the participants throw the opponent's ball, trying to throw it as far as possible. At the same time, they must run and grab their ball and bring it back. Whoever does it faster gets a point. Then the next pair of players takes the start.

Game "Live Knot"
Group members stand in a circle and join hands. The presenter entangles them in a “living knot”. The team's task is to unravel as quickly as possible, acting together. During the game, you cannot let go of each other's hands.
Game "Fortress".
Divide employees into groups of 8-10 people. Blindfold them. Place 10-20 large cardboard boxes and several buckets of water in the clearing. Explain to each group that they need to build a box fort around themselves. There should be no distance of more than 10 centimeters between the boxes in the fort, and all members of one team should be inside their cardboard fort. Designate several players who will not be blindfolded. They must spray water at those who find themselves outside the fortress, or into the holes between the boxes if they are larger than 10 centimeters.
"Giant Jump Rope"
.
"Drive in a nail"
.
The team's task is to hammer in the maximum number of nails in the minimum number of hammer blows.
“Knots” (15 min.)
Goal: to increase the tone of the group and unite the participants.
Participants stand in a circle and extend their right hand towards the center of the circle. At the signal from the host, each player finds a “handshake partner.” The number of players must be even. Then all participants extend their left hand and also find a “handshake partner” (it is very important that this is not the same person). And now the task of the participants is to unravel, that is, to line up in a circle again without separating their hands. The task can be complicated by prohibiting all verbal communication.
“From matches - names”
Instructions:
“Here is a box of matches. Your task is to use these matches to lay out the names of everyone present here within 10 minutes, using all the matches in the box. One letter can belong to different names. You can’t break matches.”
Matches are issued at the rate of 10 matches per group member.
If they do not finish within 10 minutes, the question is asked: “How long will it take you to finish?” If they don’t have time again, then there’s another question, etc.
Caterpillar (5 minutes).
All participants must complete a specific route in the chain. The success of everyone’s promotion depends on everyone’s ability to coordinate their efforts with the actions of other participants. Having formed a chain, your hands need to be placed on your belt. Place a balloon or ball between the stomach of one player and the back of the other. Touching the balloon (ball) with your hands is strictly prohibited! The first participant in the chain holds his ball at outstretched arms. Thus, in a single chain, but without the help of hands, you need to go along a certain route. For those watching: pay attention to where the leaders are located and who regulates the movement of the “living caterpillar.”
Square (10 minutes).
A team of 16-20 people is given a long rope. The essence of the game: lay out a square on the floor using a rope. The difficulty is that after preliminary discussion, the square must be laid out in complete silence, with all participants blindfolded. 5 minutes are given for discussion. The movement of participants is not limited.
Traffic jam (20 minutes).
A line of 9 squares is drawn on the floor in a line (or 9 sheets of A3 cardboard are placed). 8 people are divided into 2 groups of 4 (one group = X, the second - O) and arranged in the form: XXXX_OOOO facing each other. The players' task is to change places. You can only walk forward, to an adjacent cell, or through 1 participant. The team must solve the problem and clearly demonstrate the solution. As a complication, you can prohibit conversations during the execution of the decision.
HEAD and TAIL
The players cling together like a train, each one holds the next one by the waist and must not let go. The more people play, the better! The first player is the Head, his task is to catch the last one, and the last one is the Tail. His task is not to allow himself to be caught under any circumstances. The first half helps the Head, and the second half helps the Tail. The game starts at the referee's signal. Then the players change.
QUEUE
1. A very interesting game, useful both in nature and at various educational events. The point is this: We put blindfolds on everyone so that no one can see. The presenter passes each person and quietly taps a number on the palm of his hand, to each his own. When he has finished, he gives everyone the signal to line up so that everyone takes their place in order. The fuss begins, but the participants are given a condition - to line up in silence. 2. If an experienced team is playing, the presenter may also prohibit giving signals - tapping the participants, telling them their serial number on their fingers. Thus, they must, without words, and without seeing each other, understand where the line begins, where it ends, and where whose place is in it. If the presenter wants to prank everyone, then he gives some participants the same numbers
CATERPILLAR
The team stands in one line, facing the same direction. They are given one rope in their hand. Before starting the task, they need to develop a system of signs, because in this task it is forbidden to speak. All participants are blindfolded, except the last one. And the leader hides some object in front, for example, a tennis ball. Only the last participant whose eyes are open knows the location of the ball. The team’s task is to find the ball, while the “sighted” team member, using the developed system of signs, must direct to the place where the hidden object is located.
Tic Tac Toe
2 captains take turns inviting 1 player each (team formation). A group that places icons of the same type in a row horizontally, vertically or diagonally receives 1 point. Each team chooses 1 representative - a player. The game takes place in 3 rounds, between which players return to their teams to choose a new strategy. Talking and giving hints during the game is prohibited
Engine
Goal: form the first train to arrive at the station with carriages. 2 lines: start and finish. The locomotives travel from the start to the station (finish), move back and hitch a wagon at the start, drive with the wagon to the station and move back, hook up a new wagon, etc.
Association
- If a team is a mood, then it...
- If a team is a color, then it...
- If a team is a building, then it...
- If the team is the name of the film, then it...
- If a team is a geometric figure, then it...
"Snake"
Walk along a snake made of bricks or wood without breaking the chain between team members
Spiral
The team, holding hands, stands in a line and “wraps” itself in a spiral, walking a short distance
Songs for school health day
Songs-remakes will always enrich the competition, help you get distracted, and get a positive attitude. Songs-remakes for Health Day
Competitions for health day at school
Fun sports competitions on Health Day fulfill their main task - they develop and raise schoolchildren’s interest in sports. Such competitions can be varied: from simple speed sports competitions to a combination of various sports in one competition.
Options for original competitions
Competition "Checkers fight"
Teams are participating. Players from each team take turns trying to hit the basket with the basketball. If the player hits, he makes a move with a checker on the checkers board. While the player moves the checker, other participants continue to throw. The opposing team does the same at the other end of the field. The game continues until the checker crosses the field.
Competition "Walk over the bumps"
The player's task is to go through the swamp along the hummocks, which he makes himself by rearranging a wooden plank. Having reached the circle that lies at the end of the hall, the player places a board in it, takes the key and jumps back on the rope. The second team member begins to jump rope to the circle. And then exchanges it for a tablet. The team whose members completed the task first receives points.
Competition "Racket and Ball"
The player receives a tennis racket, on which he must, overcoming the skittles, move the tennis ball. Reaching the end of the hall, the player puts down the racket and does several squats. Then he takes the racket again and carries it to the team, passing it to the next participant.
Competition "Crossing with Hoops"
The first team member receives several rings. He places one ring in front of him on the floor and jumps into it. Then, at arm's length, he places the next ring and jumps into it again. So the first player must reach the end of the hall. The rest of the players simply jump from ring to ring. The last player must collect all the hoops behind him.

Vovochka immediately liked Dasha... - So, the next competition of our program is called “Offer me a continuation.” The task of our participants is, within 3 minutes, to come up with a continuation and ending to the beginning of the story I read. The originality of not only the author's idea and plot, but also the acting performance of your version of the story of Vovochka and Dasha is assessed. The team that, in the opinion of the jury, will cope with the task better than others will be awarded a lot by our experts (the teams are preparing for the performance). Game with the audience “Draw health” Presenter. Well, while our participants are preparing intriguing continuations of the story, we will play with our youngest viewers (the presenter calls several participants). The competition is called “Draw Health”. Now you, my little participants, will draw a symbol of health on the asphalt with colored chalk. It could be some fruit or vegetable, a tree, the sun, your family - in a word, something that you consider very important for your health (if the event is held indoors, then the drawings are made with markers on whatman paper) (children draw symbols to the music health, all participants in this competition are awarded) (team performance; jury evaluations). IX competition “Take me away from here” Presenter. In sports, and in life in general, it is necessary to cultivate a sense of cohesion, collectivism, i.e. the ability to live in society with others, to work in a team. Imagine that your friend, a member of your team at a competition, suddenly gets injured and cannot independently leave the field or site where the competition is taking place. He needs help. The next competition in our program is called “Take Me Out of Here.” The task of our participants is to figure out how to safely transport their friend or help him leave the sports field and bring this method of transportation to our attention. The originality, dexterity, speed of execution and, most importantly, the safety of the method are assessed. The team that, in the opinion of the jury, will cope with the task better than others will be awarded a lot by our experts (teams complete the task of the competition; jury evaluations). X competition “Dance” Presenter. Health, as we said earlier, is movement. And movement is not only speed and dexterity, but also plasticity, the desire to move to the music, observing tact and rhythm. So, the final competition of our program is called “Dance.” The task of our participants is to dance as a team, repeating the movements that the captain shows them. All participating teams dance at the same time. The synchronicity and accuracy of the movements, as well as the originality of the dance composition are assessed. The team that, in the opinion of the jury, will cope with the task better than others will be awarded a lot by our experts (a selection of melodies and songs of different genres and directions will be played; the teams will complete the task of the competition; the jury’s assessments). 6. Conduct of the results of the competition program, rewarding (the winner is the team that collected the most lots). 7. Summary of the program Presenter. So our meeting has come to an end. And it doesn’t matter at all who scored more lots (points) today. The most important thing in any competition is not victory, but participation. And the goal of our program is our health. Remember that health needs to be protected and strengthened from childhood. And then a long, cheerful and happy life awaits you. We need color, grass in dew and smiling childhood. We need peace, a wonderful world, given as an inheritance. We need a colorful meadow and a rainbow over the meadow. We need to run, jump, sing and talk to each other. Talk about anything: about games and fun, About turnips, break and cinema, and about brave soldiers. Who is bothered by this world with flowers and without sadness?.. We will not let illness into this colorful world! Be healthy! Goodbye, see you again!
