How to celebrate a child’s one year anniversary - children’s birthday scenario

first birthday is a very pleasant and important holiday. Of course, the birthday boy himself will not remember the celebration and the gifts received, but for his family and friends this day is special and will certainly become a bright, memorable event. Today we offer you a simple, yet cute and interesting scenario for celebrating a child’s first birthday.

In this article you will find ideas for competitions, gifts and congratulations for your child’s one year old , and by and large, you will be able to organize and host this holiday yourself - without the help of animators or a host. I say this based on personal experience, being a godmother, I successfully dealt with this several times.

First you need to understand where and with how many guests the event will be held, how many children there will be and what age they are. It is important to take into account that the birthday boy and his peers have their own daily routine, and the children’s mood depends on this.

Of course, it is a little easier to organize a children's party outdoors, in the warm season, when active, fun games are available. We will discuss the basis of the holiday with a basic plan of action, so to speak.

When all the guests have already sat down at the festive table and are ready to begin, we can begin. And the first step will be congratulations for mom. And for this, a beautiful congratulation in verse is suitable, the author is unknown to me, but the text is very sweet and touching.

Looking ahead a little, I will say that there is no need to give gifts in advance or as soon as the guests arrive - later in the process of the holiday there will be a separate part of the “awarding”, so to speak. It will be played out in an original way and guests and parents will most likely like it.

Poem for the baby's mother

The most tender and warm words, of course, should go to mommy - after all, it is on her strong and at the same time fragile shoulders that so many complex, important and responsible things lie... For her, we make a beautiful eyeliner for the toast.

So Godik was the first to knock, maybe someone will say: “It’s not enough.” But only Mom knows exactly how much this is! How much it takes to become that same one - the most tender, the sweetest! A patient, kind mother - to be both strong and vulnerable... How to be happy at the crib, quietly crying, Because the one who means more than the world is breathing next to you! How much to wait for smiles, first words, timid steps... Remembering that your mother used to sing at your crib. Your first year has passed, there was quite a lot in it! But how much there was... only my mother knows for sure...

After the poem, you can raise the first toast to the one who carried, gave birth to and raises the baby - to his mother. In response, the mother can say the first wishes for her child - the moment turns out to be very touching and well suited for the start of the holiday.

After a short pause - the guests still need to eat and drink - we move on to the second congratulation and begin to praise dad. There's a charming poem for that too.

Poem for Baby's Dad

Dad will take the second proud and confident step - we will read the poem for him too. After all, fathers also love pleasant words - let’s please him too.

He can do everything in the world, knows everything that children love! He can watch cartoons, he can heat up porridge, he can sleep next to him all the time or with a dramatic look, he can explain to his son (daughter) who should wash the dishes. He is big and he is good, he is very similar to the baby. He brings a salary into the house - this is our beloved dad! He is a protector, he is a teacher, he is stronger than everyone, remember! With him, the house is always more comfortable - everything is under dad’s wing.

Now we praise dad with the kindest words and give him the right to congratulate the baby on his first birthday. Dads are often taciturn or not very eloquent, so be prepared to give him a little help with his speech and have neat, gentle prompts ready—or challenge him to come up with a speech in advance.

First lessons

  • We consolidate the concepts: big-small, many-little, identical;

  • Learning colors;

  • We study opposites on real objects (cold-hot, empty-full, heavy-light, soft-hard);
  • We count everything around while communicating with the baby (steps, buttons, toys);
  • We study geometric shapes;

  • Viewing Doman cards or other educational material that expands your child’s horizons

Poem for Grandmother and Grandfather

The third block can be congratulations from grandparents. For them, I will also post an opening speech in poetic form, but this is not strict - you can simply introduce each of them beautifully and warmly and give them the floor for congratulations.

There are no limits to permissions and limits to entertainment! Who won’t say the word “No”?! This is grandma and grandpa! They always give you freedom here at any time of the year. Every day is like New Year - there are cookies and compote. On a whim, from hand to hand - after all, for them, the whole cosmos is their grandchildren! The smell of grandpa’s hands, grandma’s pancakes... I won’t forget the “go-to-puti” and how we play patty!

After the poem, we give the floor to grandparents - it’s better not to delay with them, as older people may get tired by the end of the event.

I also recommend asking the parents of the baby’s mother and father what they were like at the age of today’s birthday boy - how they ate, what time they went, what word they said first, ask something about their character or spicy childhood stories.

We are slowly preparing for the ritual of cutting the first lock of hair and predictions - for this we will need the child’s godparents, which means it’s time to introduce them to the guests and give them the right to toast the birthday boy.

Unusual ways to serve a cake

For those parents who spare no time and effort in preparing a real birthday extravaganza that will be interesting for children, we offer the top 5 unusual ways to present a cake.

If you are throwing a party for your child with a competition program, then the possibilities for an original presentation of dessert expand significantly. For example, in the midst of fun, sweets can be served by an animator dressed as a child’s favorite cartoon or movie character. If the cake itself is decorated with a photo or figures with its image, then the gift will be even nicer. Such a congratulation will definitely be remembered!

The main thing in a birthday cake is that it is the most delicious. But it is also important to make the moment of presenting this wonderful symbol of the new year of life interesting and fun. Therefore, plan your holiday in advance, order the perfect cake for your baby and congratulate him beautifully and memorablely!

Cutting the first curl

Cutting the first curl - it’s better for the mother to take the baby in her arms so that he worries less and spins less, so to speak. Don't forget to choose children's scissors with rounded edges on the blades for cutting. Also prepare in advance an envelope or zip-lock bag for your child’s hair.

After the hair has been cut - a very small amount - the action is absolutely symbolic, let's begin to predict the future! We will need the following items:

  • Large tray - flat with sides
  • A ball of thread - choose a bright color - means a long, bright life, you can play with the color of the thread
  • Keys to the apartment - perhaps with a key fob - mean an easy solution to the housing problem in the future
  • Money - maybe fake souvenir bills - means prosperity and wealth for the birthday person
  • Candies - preferably large ones in shiny candy wrappers - sweets mean a well-fed sweet life
  • A head of garlic - it must be clean and strong - garlic appears in our predictions as a symbol of good health
  • The ring is gold - it can be with a stone - it doesn’t matter. The ring can be interpreted as great romance, success in matters of the heart and a strong family
  • Paints or brushes - you can just use markers: any of these can be a symbol of the child’s creative path or talent
  • Toy soccer ball (small) - here you can predict a sports career
  • The doll is small in size so that it does not stand out too much: if they are telling fortunes for a boy, one can say that he will be a ladies' man, and if for a girl, then as a symbol of motherhood.

We put all the stored attributes from the list above on the prepared tray and invite the baby to choose something from it. You can interpret the predictions quite freely and add something good of your own, depending on the imagination of the so-called “leader”.

Let’s not forget that all this is quite arbitrary and you can even let the child choose several items and distribute the fortune-telling according to age - before the age of 16 there will be this, and after the wedding this, and in retirement something else.

Block of gifts for a one-year-old child

Now, after the main points of the holiday, you can move on to presenting gifts. Let's do this in an original way - we will need mom and dad, a baby, a comfortable chair and crowns for parents (I cut it out of foil cardboard - it is sold in almost any stationery store). We seat mommy in a crown with a child in her arms in the center of the hall, and next to We put the proud king-father - dad in the same crown (in any spacious and good place for a photo). One by one, starting with grandparents, then relatives, godmothers and friends.

We introduce each congratulator and add a few warm words. Their congratulatory speech should begin with the phrase: “Dear Queen Mother!..” and end with wishes for your prince or princess. We give the gifts to dad - he has free hands, and the baby will not immediately be distracted by the presents.

After the block of gifts, you can give the guests time to rest and the baby to unpack the received toys.

It's time for games and competitions. And the first thing I can advise is to divide the guests into two teams - a competitive spirit always increases the mood for both the game and victory.

Give the teams the task of coming up with a fun children's name and slogan/motto/chant. You can prepare small prizes.

1st birthday contests for children:

"Masterpiece for the birthday boy"

Children are given finger paints. Each of those present must leave a handprint on a piece of whatman paper or some kind of drawing as a keepsake for the birthday person.

"Performance"

If school-age children are present at the holiday, you can invite them to dramatize one or another children's fairy tale (at the children's choice).

"Bubble"

Children will have a lot of fun blowing soap bubbles, and if you also announce a competition for the largest or “longest” soap bubble, then it will be much more interesting for the children.

"Guess"

A variety of items are placed in a beautifully designed bag: a doll, a ball, a keychain, a pacifier.

Putting their hand into the bag, the kids should understand by touch what they got. What they pulled out goes to them as a present.

A fun game for a child's birthday - Changelings

This is one of the most fun children's games for adults. Its essence is that the “leader” tries to completely reverse the meaning of the words in the names of fairy tales, and the participants must understand and name the correct version as quickly as possible. Using a simple example, “Kvadratik” is “Kolobok”, and “Zharishcha” is, respectively, “Morozko”. Below I offer you the names of the tasks.

  • Square (Kolobok)
  • Green Slipper (Little Red Riding Hood)
  • Zharishcha (Morozko)
  • Hundred meters (Thumbelina)
  • The Poor Man's Old Pants (The King's New Clothes)
  • Skyscraper (Teremok)
  • Tin Bird (Goldfish)
  • Solar maid (Snow Queen)
  • Silver Fox and the Three Giants (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs)
  • Pan of soup (Pot of porridge)
  • A goat and five little wolves (A wolf and seven little kids)
  • Radish (Turnip)
  • Half a Day (A Thousand and One Nights)
  • Slender mare (Humpbacked Horse)
  • The Cowardly Shoemaker (The Brave Little Tailor)
  • Dog without mittens (Puss in Boots)
  • Silver foot hen (Golden comb cockerel)
  • To spite the sturgeon (At the behest of the pike)
  • Ducks-pigeons (Geese-swans)

Children's song competition - Khorovik

For this entertainment, attributes are not needed, nor, in principle, talent - the main thing here is memory and the collective work of the team. The task is simple: remember a children's song and sing the verse or chorus in chorus. The teams sing one by one: whoever sings the most and the most (in terms of the number of songs) wins.

If necessary, you can give a little guidance to adults, but a little and fairly.

Children's language translation competition

We all know that little children speak their own special language, so let's find out how well adults speak it. Prepare a short list of words “in children's language” in advance and ask your guests to translate these words into adults! This looks especially great with men. Here are some examples

  • And A - ?
  • ON - ?
  • PRRRRRRR - ?
  • TSATSA - ?
  • WHAT - ?
  • BUT BUT BUT - ?
  • ATATA - ?
  • BIBIKA - ?

And so on, you can ask the child’s mother in advance about his special slang and include these words in the questionnaire.

Game “take out the cake” at a children's party

You can invite the children to bake a cake for the birthday boy. To do this, all the children stand in a circle (fun music is turned on and everything is repeated after the leader)

  • Whip the buttercream for the cake (we make a mill by dancing with our hands)
  • Spread the cream on the shortbread (with circular movements, rub the cream into the imaginary shortbread) and chop the walnuts (stomp with your feet)
  • Sprinkle nuts on the cake (sprinkle an imaginary cake to the music)
  • We break a chocolate bar (to the music we pretend to break the chocolate with our hands)
  • We drown chocolate (we drown an imaginary chocolate bar with hot breath)
  • Spread on the cake (in a circular motion to the music, spread on the cake and, to make it more fun, on the head of the neighbor on the right and left.)
  • Decorate with strawberries (rhythmically, to the music, we make alternate forward movements with our hands, as if putting a strawberry on a cake)
  • The cake is ready, let's try it (we shout loudly - yum-yum and at the same time pretend how funny we are devouring the cake)
  • The guys are all great, and now it’s time to try the real cake. (At this moment, bring out the cake to the music)

Fun competition Fairy Show off

A cute version of the game “cow”, “crocodile” or “show off”, when the participants, receiving a piece of paper with a task, must show their team a fairy tale without words - only with the help of gestures and facial expressions. You can use the names of famous cartoon or fairy-tale characters, both modern and classic, so to speak.

For this game you need to prepare forfeits for the participants in advance. Or rather, write or print out the names of well-known children's fairy tales on separate small pieces of paper. Try to use simple words or phrases. Below are some ideas for you:

  • Twelve months
  • Kolobok
  • Little Red Riding Hood
  • Ivan the Fool
  • Thumbelina
  • wait for it
  • Dragon
  • Baba Yaga
  • Cinderella
  • The Snow Queen
  • Swan Princess
  • gold fish

First option. We print five names of fairy tales on one small card. We make an even number of cards so that the team has the same chance of winning. We give the card to the team representative, and he silently explains the names to them in a row.

Option two. On small pieces of paper (strips of paper) we print or write one fairy tale title at a time, twist the pieces of paper and put them in one bag/hat/box. Next, the players take turns taking out their “forfeit” and trying to explain the fairy tale to their team.

Competition for dads - adult conversation

One of the cutest options for entertainment at the holiday is where men cause fire. And we check how well our dads or future dads are prepared for serious questions from their son or daughter.

We call one or two men from the teams and ask them to imagine a situation where the birthday boy (birthday girl) grew up and asked his dad: “Where do children come from?”, “What to do with a girl if you like her?”, “When can you kiss? ", "Why do we need these strange balloons in a box that high school students talk about? "... and so on.

Dads are usually not very ready for such questions and answers - their embarrassment and blush makes the game not only educational, but also very funny

Try to give dads situations of different ages - that is, the question about the “stork” at three years old, and about “what to do with a girl if she looks intently into your eyes and sighs?” - let it be asked before the army/institute/wedding and so on.

The time allocated for this game depends on the number of men and questions, so everything is not strict here.

Children's Birthday Scenario “Klepa and Anfiska congratulate!”

Anfiska the clown runs in to cheerful music. The clown Klepa hid behind her.

Anfiska: Hello, kids - girls and boys! And we are funny clowns, I am Anfiska, and this is my friend Klepa! (Points with his hand to the place next to him, but there is no one there) Oh! Where did Klepa go? Haven't you seen him? The children point to Klepa. Anfiska turns to the right, looking to the left for a friend. At this time, Klepa makes faces, imitating Anfiska. Finally, Anfiska, having outsmarted Klepa, turns around sharply and finds her friend. Both laugh and hug. Anfiska: Oh, this Klepa, he’s always coming up with something to laugh at me. Klepa: I really like to have fun! Let's play quickly. Anfiska: Well, you’re not being polite, Klepa, but should I say hello? Klepa: Hello, Anfiska! Now let's play? Anfiska: Well, Klepa! Should I say hello to the guys? Klepa: Is it with these people? No problem! I will now say hello to everyone in turn. Anfiska: No, not with everyone! Klyopa: Well, what again!? I said hello to the girls and to the boys too. Ah-ah-ah! Well, of course, with your parents? Hello, parents, children's tormentors! Well, is that all now? Anfiska: No, not all! Where have we come? For a birthday! Klepa: Really? Congratulations! (Shakes hands with one of the children, but not the birthday boy.) How big you have become! Just a real Pelican! Anfiska: I didn’t guess, Klepa. Klepa: Yes? So this doll has it! Congratulations! (Shakes her hand.) Oh, what a beautiful dress! And what shoes! A real birthday girl! Anfiska: Klepa! And not her. Klepa: Isn’t she again? So Klepa congratulates several children. Finally, he can't stand it anymore and asks them for help. They show him the birthday boy. Klepa: How come I didn’t guess right away? Look, she's a girl! Dressed to perfection! Pink cheeks, a twinkle in her eyes, I have never seen such a beautiful girl! Anfiska: Let's put a crown on our birthday girl so that everyone can see who has a holiday today.

Klepa: And now, we invite you to go on a fun journey on a fabulous steam locomotive. Our locomotive will be Anfiska, you are the carriages, and I am the last carriage. And we will go to different stations, where we will play fun games and dance. Anfiska: Hey, trailers, line up! Go! Anfiskin's locomotive makes a circle and stops abruptly. Stop the car. Klepa:

What happened, Anfiska? Have you arrived yet? And where to? Anfiska: But that’s not how you should ask! That's how. As soon as the locomotive stops, you all shout in unison: Hey, Anfiskin locomotive, where have you brought the children? Children repeat. Anfiska: This is the “Balloons” station! And at this station everyone plays with balls. Anfiska: And the first game is called “Funny Ball”

Birthday game for children - Accuracy

This children's game is suitable for a small room, a cafe, and the street. We call it “accuracy” or “skeet”. I honestly admit that we, adults, play it ourselves with great pleasure. So, we will need the following:

  • disposable paper target plates 8 pieces
  • glue (PVA or stationery) - 1 bottle
  • marker of any bright color - 1 piece
  • balloons as projectiles - 2 pieces
  • sand or any cereal to fill the balls
  • white paper for the target - two sheets of A4

We cut out circles from white paper - we need eight pieces. They should be smaller than the diameter of the paper plate. On the circles we draw the number 5 - two pieces, the number 10 - two pieces, the number 50 - two pieces and on two pieces we draw a cross or a large letter X.

Glue the circles onto the plates and leave the glue to dry. Now we fill the balloons with sand or some kind of cereal - you will need about half a glass per “shell”. Don't make them too big - let them be the size of an average lemon.

The rules of the game are simple - we place the plates on the floor in one row in the following order “5 - 10 - X - 50”, our cross or x is a penalty - minus ten points, and the numbers are the points that the participants earn.

The goal is to earn as many points as possible either in a certain time or in a certain number of throws. Look at the circumstances here. Children line up one after another at some distance from the first plate and take turns throwing the “shell”, trying to earn the maximum number of points.

Children's birthday card

This is a very cute part of the holiday that will delight and entertain children of almost any age. Try to find out their approximate quantity before the holiday and prepare everything you need, namely: thick white paper (I use A4 Whatman paper) and markers (colored pencils or markers, paints or pastel crayons.)

Hand out a sheet of paper to the children and ask them to draw a birthday “card” for our birthday boy or girl. You can also (if there are not very many children) give them one large sheet for drawing, and then the birthday boy will get a whole poster! While the children are drawing, adults can relax a little. When all the drawings are ready, arrange a small exhibition with a presentation for each author. This way we will pay attention to every little guest. Don't forget that they all need to be praised!

What to say to the host at a children's party while bringing out the cake

Attention! We welcome the sweetest guest of our holiday! (and to the famous song Happy Bezdey, we sing the name of the birthday boy). We can say that this cake is not ordinary, it fulfills your cherished desires, think about what you really want - puff out your cheeks and blow out the candles. Hooray! May all your cherished wishes come true.

You can solemnly read a poem for taking out the cake. One two three four five! Who will we congratulate? Who will be proud today? Will he eat a huge cake? Will the candles be blown out? And open gifts? Who's ahead today? Birthday boy, come out!

Game - I love my parents, I praise my parents

A very nice little competition for kids with simple and understandable rules. In this competition, kids should praise their parents, as if bragging about how good their moms and dads are. Ask the kids to tell what their mom or dad can do, what they play well, or what they cook deliciously.

You can praise your grandparents and older brothers or sisters - there are no restrictions on relatives! For those who are younger, you can help a little, but it’s better to let the parents themselves suggest - we’ll find out what they themselves are proud of and we’ll also learn about their level of modesty...

Competition - Quiz about a one-year-old birthday boy

The birthday quiz is a classic game for celebrating a baby's first birthday. A simple and cute competition dedicated to how well the guests know the child who is being congratulated today and his family. The point is to correctly answer simple thematic questions, examples of which I provide you with in the list below:

  • Exact date of birth
  • Baby's weight and height at birth
  • Zodiac sign and year of birth
  • Child's current height and weight
  • How many months did you sit down - get up - go
  • Names of the baby's grandparents
  • What time exactly was the baby born?
  • When did the first tooth appear?
  • Birthday boy's favorite food
  • What color were the eyes at birth?
  • Did the baby have long hair when he was born?
  • When the child was baptized and the names of the godparents
  • What can a baby already do in his first year?
  • Who is he most like (according to his parents)

Well, here you can add something special and personal that your friendly company knows. And yes, do not allow parents to tell teams answers. Whichever team gives the most correct answers wins the quiz competition.

That's basically all - you can always add your ideas, something from your heart and your mood. I have offered you a basic scenario on how to celebrate your child’s birthday on your own. And for those who are looking for ideas on how to entertain children at home on New Year's Eve, we published a corresponding interesting article, so read it at your leisure. I hope that the article will be useful to you. And if you have any questions, leave them in the comments. I will definitely answer.
