Ready-made scenarios for indoor and outdoor quests: Quests for children (up to 10 years old) Quests for teenagers (up to 16 years old) Quests for adults (over 18 years old)

If you wanted to add variety to your usual get-togethers with friends or bring back summer in the middle of winter, or maybe in the summer you decided to plunge into the blue waters of the ocean, drink cool cocktails, lie under a green palm tree, then a Hawaiian party is exactly what you need! With a Hawaiian themed party, you and your friends can visit Hawaii and experience the heavenly delights of the food, drinks and traditions of the Hawaiian people. You can easily organize such a party yourself and even at home. Of course, in the summer this makes the task much easier, but you won’t have any difficulties, because Zavodila will help you make it as simple, fun, unforgettable as possible and, most importantly, with a small budget.

1.Invitations for a Hawaiian party.

If you decide that you are ready to go on a trip to Hawaii with your friends, then first you need to make a list of guests for your party, and then start preparing themed invitations, as well as sending them out. Invitations can be sent by email, through the post office or delivered in person. Invitations should be designed in accordance with the theme of the party. Hawaii is summer, sea, sand, carefreeness, dancing, leis, coconuts, pineapples. All this can be displayed in invitations. The goal of invitations from the moment you receive them is to intrigue and set your friends up for an atmosphere of unrestrained summer and fun. Also, invitations should include an informational part, which will talk about the place and time of the meeting, the Hawaiian dress code, and the necessary props that your guests will need to take with them. Depending on the location of the party, such details may be a towel, glasses, etc. Invitations can be made in the shape of a plane ticket, flip-flops, pineapple, cocktail glass with a straw or in the shape of a palm tree. You can be original and place the invitations in a clear glass wine bottle, cap it and mail it to your guests. Here you should not restrain yourself in expressing your imagination!

So, we sorted out the invitations. Next, you need an environment. A Hawaiian party immediately brings to mind palm trees, banana bushes, the seashore, warm sand and bright floral decorations. And it would seem that already at this stage it is necessary to abandon such a holiday theme, because where can you find sand, sea, ocean, palm trees in an apartment or house? But don't give up! You can create everything yourself! And if you also have children, then don’t forget to involve them in this process: things will go faster, and you’ll have a great time with the kids, and sometimes children’s imagination works better than adults’.

Scenery

Hawaii is a yellow sun, blue sky, turquoise sea, golden straw and raffia, lush green palm leaves and rainbow lush flowers. All these shades can and should be used to embody any ideas for a Hawaiian party - from table settings, textiles and miniature compositions to impressive central details of an explosive summer interior.

The island state is primarily associated with garlands of flowers. Lei beads adorn not only the neckline of tanned aboriginal women, but also everything around – the entrance and arches, tables and backs of chairs. Garlands on the ceiling are adjacent to gentle clouds and flocks of tropical birds. Leis can be assembled from live or artificial buds, on transparent fishing line, colored elastic braid or regular thread. But flowers for decorating a Hawaiian party with your own hands are very simple! If you wish, you can save a lot of money by assembling buds from light, airy fabric (chiffon, tulle, etc.) or from corrugated paper:

In order for the holiday feeling to explode the mood of the guests with rich colors, there should be a lot of flowers - bright, large and lush. In stores and on the “Everything for Handicraft” websites you can buy decorative ribbons that are perfect for plant compositions:

You can choose a decoration for your hair - a hairpin in the shape of a flower, or a flower bracelet for your wrist. Wear flip-flops (flip-flops) or comfortable sandals on your feet.

Outfit for men

As always, and in everything: for men everything is simpler and faster. Men will wear their favorite summer shorts (preferably in bright colors), a short-sleeved shirt or T-shirt, or a tank top with floral motifs. It is possible without the top part of clothing. Enough shorts, a lei around the neck and flip flops! That's it, the outfit is ready! You can specify one color scheme separately for men and women, or only for men. Another option is to “split the colors” for each guest (for one participant in the dress code - a red top, for another - blue, for a third - white, etc.). And don't forget your sunglasses, because this party will be very sunny!

The party must include hearty dishes, light snacks and alcoholic drinks. The main dishes on the Hawaiian party menu would be a light salad with chicken, pineapple, corn, pizza with seafood or pineapple, baked pork or fish. Since Hawaiians love natural food, it is better to pay more attention to snacks. Possible options:

  • fruit slices in baskets;
  • a plate of seafood (even just marinated mussels will be enough);
  • salads in canapé format;
  • sausage and cheese slices in the form of skewers interspersed with fruit;
  • mini sandwiches.

Regarding alcohol, the most suitable option for the theme is the Pina Colada cocktail (you need coconut liqueur, pineapple juice, ice cubes, and, if possible, strawberries). If guests like stronger drinks, buy white rum. You can add grapefruit or orange juice, coconut milk, Coca-Cola, Sprite to it (these drinks are suitable even if the party is without alcohol). Serve cocktails in beautiful deep glasses, decorated with umbrellas, pieces of fruit, sugar and syrup, straws, and mini paper fruits. Don’t forget to place all dishes on a table decorated with a green tablecloth (or burlap is also suitable for this). Some flowers and candles for decoration. Multi-colored butterflies cut from colored paper are also perfect for decorating glasses, straws, dishes and various tableware. Such butterflies can also serve as a glass identifier (distinctive feature).

Here is a list of the best competitions, games and entertainment for a Hawaiian party. Zavodila made sure that you and your guests do not get bored. To entertain guests and hold competitions, you don’t need a lot of themed props.

♦ Quest Best Arrange for your friends and family an unforgettable trip to Hawaii with a real adventure quest - searching for the treasures of the eight leaders of the Hawaiian Islands.

Music

Ethnic music for a Hawaiian party is like the Mendelssohn march on a wedding day - where would you be without it? Although there are very few truly folk melodies known outside the island state. Hawaiian music is a seething mixture of different styles and directions, but surprisingly recognizable and familiar to the ear. Of course, you don’t have to limit your guests and yourself - any songs about the sea, the beach, a carefree holiday, the sun and paradise tropics will fit into the theme. But if you have the time and desire, be sure to search the Internet for songs using the query “Hawaiian party songs.” To create the atmosphere, a few dance tunes, a couple or three for the background, and a few especially fiery, noisy and fun ones for holding competitions will be enough.

♦ Limbo. You definitely can't do without the game "Limbo" - a traditional fun among Hawaiians, the essence of which is to pass under the bar without hitting it or losing your balance. The bar gradually drops lower and lower, but the action remains the same. To play, you will need to decorate any stick 1-1.5 m long with ribbons and select fiery melodies. ♦ Quizzes. And what about quizzes? Just don't make it too long. 10-15 questions are enough, otherwise everyone will get bored at one point. The survey must be about Hawaii. The best are funny or unusual facts about Hawaiians, strange questions. Remember - you are not in a history or geography lesson to remember who was the head of the country and at what time or adopted some reforms. Everything should be as fun as possible! The one who scores the most points is awarded a prize. ♦ Guess. A game where participants must guess the name/ingredients of a cocktail, dishes, items. Serve dishes with your eyes closed, cocktails also or in dark dishes. The winner is the one who guesses the most dishes or does it faster than others. ♦ Coconut carriers. The rules are simple - bring the coconut (you can take ordinary small balls) to a certain distance without dropping it. Options for tasks to make the game more difficult:

  • hold the ball between your knees;
  • grasp the object with your shoulder blades while leaning forward;
  • jump on one leg holding a coconut in your hand;
  • jump with 2 legs and hold the ball on outstretched arms;
  • move on all fours, placing an object on the neck, etc.

The winner is the one who completes all the tasks in total faster without dropping the item. ♦ Dance battle. If your guests love to dance, be sure to have a battle! You can split into 2-4 teams, participate in pairs or solo. Take music from the playlist. ♦ Truth or Dare. This is a classic game, but with a Hawaiian twist. As an action, a person can dance a traditional Hawaiian dance, prepare certain dishes (choose the simplest recipe) or a cocktail. Hide the tasks in a homemade half of a coconut or pineapple, and arrange it in the form of a Hawaiian garland decoration. ♦ Quest. A great option to entertain guests is a table quest. Sitting at the festive table, all guests can be carried away by solving and completing an exciting and fun quest. You can, for example, rob a bank or take part in a holiday commotion. Such quest themes are available on our website, so you can familiarize yourself with the plot in detail and choose the appropriate quest for your party.

How to make Hawaiian beads with your own hands

The simplest option in all respects is to make a lei from corrugated paper (what used to be called tissue paper). Craftswomen most likely already have such paper in their arsenal, while others can purchase it at any craft store - such paper costs mere pennies.

Even if this is your first hand-made masterpiece, you will probably achieve the desired effect by spending very little money and only an hour or two of your labor.

Don't be alarmed if you have a lot of Hawaiian beads to make: your hand will fill up very quickly. Make a couple of leis, and you’ll spend a maximum of 30-40 minutes making the rest.

Method No. 1

Let's figure out step by step how to make Hawaiian beads from corrugated paper with your own hands. First, we will consider the least labor-intensive and fastest option. So, method number 1:

  • We are preparing the tools. We only need a couple of rolls of thin corrugated paper of different colors, scissors and a needle with a warp thread. Additional decorations are optional.
  • We cut the paper. No need to unwind the rolls! We take the roll and cut it crosswise into equal sections. The length of the segment is 4-6 cm: it determines the thickness of the lei.
  • Unwind the ribbons. We take the first piece and unwind it into a tape. The rest can be left untouched for now so that the ribbons do not get mixed up.
  • We thread the needle (thick thread, large “gypsy” needle with a large eye). We tie a very large knot at the end of the thread. For comfortable work, you can use a bead as a stopper - the paper will definitely not slip through it.
  • We sew the tape. We take the first paper strip and sew it with large stitches exactly along the center. The stitch is the most ordinary - “needle forward”.
  • Let's make a bun. We made a few stitches and assembled the strung paper ribbon into a tight accordion. We made a few more - we create another bunch, rotating it relative to the first in a spiral.
  • We string the paper further. We repeat the sequence of actions until the tape runs out. It doesn’t matter which way to twist the paper spiral (clockwise or counterclockwise): the main thing is that it’s in one direction.
  • We string other ribbons. The sequence of colors can be alternated. Moreover: you can alternate the ribbons with other decorative elements (large beads, wooden beads, and so on).
  • We do the final processing. Having reached the desired length (usually leis are made long, up to the waist), we secure the last turn of paper with a couple of stitches, tie the ends of the thread and trim the ends. Finally, we eliminate the errors (we cut off the protruding corners of the paper, if any) - and the lei is ready!

If you thread and gather the paper tightly enough, exactly in the center, the lei will turn out uniform. The thread in such a necklace is practically invisible, so its color does not matter.

In the pictures the work and its result look like this:

If you have a lot of satin and nylon ribbons in bright colors in your arsenal, you can thread them on a thread in a similar way. As a result, you will get a more durable and festive option. But in this case, it is important to secure the ends of each ribbon with stitches so that the spiral does not unwind. Beads are also appropriate as stupors.

Method No. 2

Option No. 2 is more labor-intensive, but no less effective. We proceed as follows.

  • Cut the corrugated paper into strips. You can also use multi-colored napkins. You should get strips approximately 8-10 cm wide and 15 cm long.
  • We form flowers. To do this, you need to fold the strip in half lengthwise and twist it into a kind of “bag” in the shape of a flower.
  • We fix the flowers on the thread. In this case, each flower is wrapped with thread at the fold line and secured with a knot. The main thing is to distribute the flowers evenly along the thread so that there are no gaps. We tie the ends of the thread.

You can first knit the flowers with individual threads, and then secure them to a common thread with a needle. For a beginner, this will be more convenient: it will be easier to distribute the flowers on the lei evenly.

As a result of using method No. 2, you will get this beauty:

In a similar way, you can create leis from fabric and ribbons. If you have multi-colored scraps accumulated in your house, you can use them to form flowers. We take a long rectangle of fabric, fold it and, gathering it along the fold line with a thread, we form a flower. The resulting elements can be tied onto the main thread or sewn onto a thin braid.
