DIY kinder crafts - practical master classes and original ideas for children in kindergarten and school

At some point in their lives, children learn about the existence of Kinder surprises. Many people at first rejoice at the sweet egg, but then real “Kindermania” sets in.

In anticipation of a miracle and the hope that next time an interesting toy will come across, not only collections of toys are collected in the house, but also plastic capsules from under them. Sometimes they are mercilessly thrown away, not suspecting that this is a real treasure, an excellent material for crafts and decoration.

Kinder surprise in a tray

The simplest, but at the same time original gift is to pack kinders in an egg tray. Take a regular cardboard tray for 10 eggs, remove the label from the package. Now print out the two greeting label templates. Cut them, stick one label on top of the tray, and another on the lid from the inside. That's all! The original Kinder Surprise gift is ready. Place the chocolate egg in the tray and, if desired, tie it with a beautiful satin bow.

Making a cake

It’s very easy to make your own “cake” from Kinder chocolates and chocolate eggs. For this original birthday gift you will need:

  • several rectangular “kinder chocolate” chocolates, their number is determined by the desired size of the cake;
  • several chocolate eggs;
  • satin ribbon;
  • thick cardboard;
  • whatman;
  • glue, preferably PVA;
  • thin elastic band;
  • ruler, pencil, scissors.

In addition, you will need decor to decorate the cake, which will be discussed below.

First of all, you need to decide on the diameter of the cake; to do this, you need to lay out rectangular chocolates in a row and measure the length of the resulting “ribbon”.

Now, using a ruler and pencil, draw a rectangle on whatman paper, its length and width are equal to the length and width of the “ribbon” of chocolates, respectively. On the long side we make an allowance of 1.5 cm wide, and on one of the short sides - 1 cm.

Along the long side along the width of the allowance, draw teeth of arbitrary width. We cut out the blank, glue it along the short side, and bend the teeth towards the center of the resulting ring. Cut out a circle from cardboard, the diameter of which is 1 cm larger than the diameter of the Whatman ring. Glue the circle so that its center and the center of the ring coincide. This will be the bottom of our cake.

We put a thin rubber band on the Whatman paper ring and begin to insert chocolate bars under it, placing them tightly together. In this case, the lower part of the chocolate bar will rest on the protrusion of the cardboard bottom. We got a round box in which you can put chocolate eggs and any other candies.

Now you need to make the lid. To do this, you need to cut out another circle from cardboard with the same diameter as the bottom. Then cut out a 4 cm wide strip from thick paper, measure 1.5 cm on top, and cut out the cloves. Glue the strip to the lid blank.

All that remains is to decorate our lid; for this you can use colored paper, foil, fabric, lace, as well as rhinestones, beads, bows and flowers. We place the toy in the center of the lid; it can be secured with double-sided tape or sewn to the lid with a couple of stitches. If we are making a cake for a boy, then we place a machine or robot on top. A gift for a girl can be decorated with a small soft toy or doll.

If desired, you can make a large cake with several tiers. The manufacturing technology is the same, you just need to make tiers of the cake of different diameters. The largest circle is located below, circles of smaller diameter are placed above.

If such a large cake is given, but inside its tiers, it will be possible to place not only sweets, but also any other things of the appropriate size that are planned to be given.

Basket of Kinder surprise bars

To create such a basket you will need corrugated paper, a small piece of foam plastic, hot glue, satin ribbons, candy bars and double-sided tape.

Heart-shaped basket of Kinder bars

Cut out a heart of the desired size from foam plastic. Cover the finished heart with corrugated paper. This paper is very easily deformed, so wrapping a foam heart will not be difficult for you.

Now take double-sided tape and stick a piece on each bar, then tear off the label on the other side of the tape and stick all the bars on the sides of the heart. I didn’t mention it above, the thickness of the heart should be half the height of the bars in order to ultimately form a basket.

When the basket is ready, tie a beautiful satin ribbon for security and a more festive look. The basket is ready, now you can put the same kinder surprises or chocolates in it.

Making a parrot

The most common type of crafts made from Kinder capsules is the production of all kinds of animals. You can create either an individual kitten or puppy, or an entire zoo.

By making animals together with your child, you can study their names, as well as their habitat.

A rather interesting option would be to create a Kesha parrot:

  • Take a yellow container that will act as the base of the bird;
  • To create a beak, crest and wings, plasticine is used (the brighter the colors, the more interesting);
  • The tail is made of colored paper;
  • Buttons act as eyes, which are attached to the base as neatly as possible.

Using the same scheme, you can create any other animal.

Kinder surprise cake

A cake made from chocolate eggs and other candy bars from the same company is made according to the same principle as the basket. Take foam plastic circles as a basis and wrap them in corrugated paper for beauty. You securely fix each tier together using hot glue, and then it’s a matter of your imagination and sleight of hand.

How to make a multi-tiered kinder cake

Multi-tiered kinder cake

To create an egg you will need

  • thin newsprint or napkins;
  • PVA glue;
  • balloon;
  • brushes and paints;
  • scissors;
  • strong threads;
  • deep bowl;
  • water;
  • printouts or pictures for decoration.

To get an egg that looks like a factory one, you need to select a picture with a branded inscription. But it is much more pleasant to receive not a simple gift, but an individual, personalized one. The child’s name can be pasted next to the company inscription, and a postcard signed on behalf of the creators of the Kinder Surprise can be placed inside the egg. The baby will be pleased to know that such a huge egg was prepared especially for him.

Kinder surprise bouquets

Bouquet of kinders

To create such a gift you will need:

  • Chocolate eggs;
  • Wooden skewers for shish kebab;
  • Type tape;
  • Corrugated paper;
  • Polyethylene;
  • Decor elements.

Each egg must be wrapped in a decorative napkin, plastic or corrugated paper. The ends need to be pulled tighter and fixed on a wooden skewer using tape or type tape; the latter is preferable if you want to make flowers that look like real ones, such as crocuses, peonies or tulips. You form the finished flowers into a bouquet and decorate it at your discretion; you can complement such a bouquet with Raffaello sweets or something else delicious.

How to pack a gift in a Kinder Surprise

It turns out that the Kinder Surprise itself can serve as an original packaging for a small gift, such as a gold pendant, ring, or banknotes. Guys, take note: using a chocolate egg you can make an original marriage proposal.

How to pack a gift in a Kinder Surprise

And so, carefully remove the wrapper from the egg, now use a knife along the seam of the egg to divide it into two halves. You take out a case with a toy, take out the toy, and instead put in a gift and a note with wishes. Now the most crucial moment is to wrap everything back up. You need to heat the knife, you can put it under running hot water and run it along the edge of half a chocolate egg, melting the chocolate a little, and then quickly place the other half on it. The egg has been collected, now just as carefully wrap it in the packaging.

A little history

The legendary Kinder Surprise is a product of the Italian concern Ferrero. The first hollow candy with a funny toy inside was released in 1974 at the suggestion of inventor William Salice. The idea of "Kinder" is borrowed from Easter eggs with a surprise, which children really like.

In European countries, original candies with inedible “filling” are not sold in the summer, since they can melt and stain the plastic capsule packaging they contain. Instead, the company offers an analogue called Kinder Joy. It is a plastic egg divided into two halves covered with foil. One contains a chocolate dessert, and the other contains a surprise toy.

Every year the manufacturer produces over 100 varieties of Kinders. All toys for them are painted by hand, which affects the cost of production. Collectible series, mostly dedicated to cult cartoons, are especially popular. Although there are also Christmas or genre options.
