Family karaoke party “Let’s sing together”
If you want to make a wonderful, original holiday for your children, throw them a karaoke party . Such a musical and at the same time budget party is suitable both for celebrating your child’s birthday and for diversifying ordinary days.
In order for a karaoke party to go well, you should be well prepared for it.
Have you already decided on the date and time? Then you need to start inviting guests. To make it much more solemn, hand out invitation cards in which you indicate the time, date and location of the holiday. Invitations can be written on purchased postcards “we invite” or printed yourself on a printer by choosing an interesting design. When designing invitations, take children as your assistants; they will happily write and draw on the cards. Distribute invitations a few days before the event so everyone can prepare for it.
The next stage of preparation is decorating the room where your karaoke party will be held. To make it more spacious, you need to remove things that will interfere with your event. Place extra chairs for guests. Set up the jury table. Hang up a New Year's garland; instead of music, it will blink with multi-colored lights and create a wonderful atmosphere. You can also make a disco ball with your children. Take a ball and cover it with pieces of mirror. Playing with its rays, it will be an indispensable attribute of a karaoke party.
Check the serviceability of the equipment (karaoke player or regular DVD), it is advisable to have two microphones - to be able to sing a duet. Don’t forget about the repertoire, make sure there are recordings for every taste: melodies of the 80s and 90s, songs from films, songs from cartoons, folk compositions, modern melodies.
In order to create a sense of competition, it is necessary to select a jury that will award scores to the performers and select the best “competitors.” Members of the jury can be your grandparents or any of the guests. Place them at a special table. Near each of them on the table there should be balls that you previously prepared (numbers drawn on pieces of paper from 1 to 10).
In order for everything to go at the highest level, to be fun and interesting, you must have a script for the event. You will host a party with different competitions.
You can hold the following competitions:
- Karaoke battle. This competition consists of performing songs for points. You can compete either individually or in teams. If you decide to compete in teams, then each participant must perform a song and receive points. Then the scores of all “competitors” are summed up and the winning team is determined.
- Competition “remember songs on a certain topic.” Set any topic, and let everyone try to remember as many songs for it as possible. The one who remembers the most is the winner. You can compete in this competition individually or in teams.
- "Guess the melody". This competition is built in the likeness of a well-known and beloved TV show. Each participant must guess the songs after only a small excerpt has been played.
- “Imagine a song.” This competition is for team play. Each team in turn must depict a song from a movie or cartoon without words. The competitors must guess this song and then perform it.
- "Sticker" Write the names of well-known songs on small pieces of paper. Make something like a crown out of cardboard, to which you can attach stickers with a paper clip. Each participant in this competition will wear a “crown” with a sticker, asking leading questions, the player with the crown must guess the song and then sing it. You can also write the name of the singer on stickers, and after guessing it you will need to perform any song from his repertoire.
In addition to the competitions listed above, you can hold others, use your wits, remember and come up with exciting games.
Don't forget about the prizes . There will be winners in every competition, which means they should be rewarded with prizes. Prizes may include small trinkets, pens, notebooks, key chains, and candies. Try to ensure that everyone present at the karaoke party receives a prize. Those who are not very good with vocals can be awarded a gift as the winner of the competition: the most active participant or fan, the smallest participant, an original stage costume, or simply receive the audience award.
And what's a party without treats ? After fun competitions, everyone will want to refresh themselves. Cook something delicious. You can have a buffet. Place food and drinks on the table, and anyone who wants to eat or drink something can come up and choose what they want at any time.
You'll see that your karaoke party will be just great. All guests will be delighted with your musical event.

Progress of the event
Host: Good evening!
I would like to start the evening with words from the song for the film “Jolly Fellows”:
The heart is light from the cheerful song
She never lets you get bored
And they love the song of villages and villages
And big cities love the song
Indeed, there is hardly a person who does not love music. Each of us has our own preferences in music. But a genre like song occupies a huge place in a person’s life.
The song “Old Piano” performed by a student
Host: So how did the origin of the song begin? There are different assumptions about how music arose in the first place.
Some scientists think this way, others think differently, but only one thing is certain! – music was born a long time ago, in those distant times when people still knew very little and knew even less. Man could not explain much of what happened in nature, and he believed that the world was inhabited by invisible creatures that controlled nature and even had power over human life. And if this is so, then you need to be on good terms with these creatures. They cannot be angry or offended. And if you ask for something, then you need to ask in a special way.
Man understood long ago that a drawn-out sound is more beautiful and expressive than a short one. Obviously, praying, conjuring the spirits, he tried to draw out the sound. Maybe it was like this, maybe it was different. However, the most ancient songs that we know are just such spells of spirits. And don't be surprised. After all, you yourself sang them more than once as a child: “Rain, stop raining,” “Ladybug, fly to the sky,” etc. These children's songs are spells, or rather, what is left of them. It is difficult to imagine that spell songs were the only form of art among ancient people. Of course, other songs were born then: about love, about work, about life, the so-called folk songs. All musical art subsequently grew from them.

Host: That's all we wanted to tell you about the Song today.
The song helps us build and live
She is like a friend and calls and leads
And the one who walks through life singing,
He will never disappear anywhere!
See you again!
Annex 1
According to the Karaoke myth, this incredibly popular pastime was born over 30 years ago in the city of Kobe in Japan. However, according to another opinion, Karaoke appeared even earlier than the 1970s on Mitch Miller's Television Show "Sing Along with Mitch." According to this version of the birth of Karaoke in the 1950s and 60s, television viewers watched a bouncing ball on the TV screen while singing along with Mitch and Company. Apparently, after this, the Japanese took this concept and transformed it into a form of commercial entertainment called Karaoke. And from that moment on, the popularity of Karaoke spread far beyond the shores of Japan, penetrating through the rest of the Far East, reaching North America and Europe.
The word "Karaoke" is derived from two Japanese words put together. "Kara" is from "karappo" which means empty. "Oke", short for "okesutura", means orchestra. And so we get the word Karaoke, which actually means "empty orchestra" (obviously because there are no vocals in Karaoke songs). The word "karaoke" is now listed in dictionaries around the world, including the most recent version of the distinguished and conservative Oxford English Dictionary. This proves what a popular pastime the art of filling an “empty orchestra” has become!
For hundreds of years, music and singing have been essential parts of Japanese culture and social life. Since ancient times, the singer has been supported by applauding. And it never mattered whether a singer was good or not. We have all experienced Karaoke and know that when the singer has no voice or hearing, it often causes more laughter and fun.
The popularity of Karaoke has spread across the globe to enthusiasts of all ages. Almost every CD of popular Japanese stars now includes a special Karaoke version of the song, which gives Karaoke fans the opportunity to sing at home or in Karaoke bars. Karaoke sites have also appeared on the Internet. PC Karaoke is a rapidly growing market in Asia and around the world.
A completely separate story is the history of karaoke in Russia. The first device was brought to our country in 1994 and was magnificently presented in a nightclub near Old Square. Real stars did not hesitate to try out the wonder: Larisa Dolina, who sang the Beatles’ Yesterday and Come Together, took part in the test; Sergei Minaev was not far behind her. It got to the point that this event was reflected in the publications of the central press, and soon another imported device appeared on the “Valery Bryusov” - a ship and casino where more than one fortune was squandered during the times of wild capitalism.
Nowadays, the fascination with the original Japanese device in the Russian expanses will not surprise anyone.

You are right, dear notes, everyone is very busy. And my melodies are magical, you just can’t hear them. The forest fairy disappears. Note A. Disappeared... And the magical melodies? I remembered, first of all, we need to be silent - this is the law of her magical melodies. Note B. Oh, look, someone is hiding under the tree. Note A. Indeed, there is someone under the tree! Note B. Who could it be? Was it really auntie who decided to play a joke on us? The Dwarf appears. Dwarf. Hello, dear notes! I heard that you want to listen to the magical melodies of Aunt Silence, our Forest Fairy. What a pity... My older brothers went on a long journey, and they left me to guard our home. I am so sad. But I won't bother you. Note B. Wait, Gnome! Our rule: if someone is sad, you need to make it fun. Note C, begin our favorite game of verses. All the notes stand in a semicircle, the notes C and D come forward and act out the scene, dancing and singing. Notes C and D. The bear and the doll are having a lot of fun, a lot of fun, a lot of fun. One two Three. The bear is having fun, very fun, Very fun, very fun. Look. The notes Do and Re fall into place, the notes Mi and Fa come forward and act out a skit about a cocky cockerel. Notes Mi and Fa. Early in the morning, Mama Kvochka sent her son to class. She said: “Don’t fight, don’t tease, don’t get cocky. Hurry up, it's time. Well, no fluff, no feather! An hour later, the Barely Alive Cockerel Goes Home, He Barely Hobbles From the School Yard, And There Is Really No Down, Not a Feather... The notes bow to the Dwarf and sit down in their places. Dwarf. Thank you, Notes, how well you amused me. (Leaves.) Note Salt. And now we will listen to the melodies of the Forest Fairy - Aunt Silence. The Storyteller appears. Storyteller. Just as the notes were getting ready to listen to the magical melodies of the Forest Fairy, a boy came out into the clearing. He was sad and thinking about something. Note A. Who are you? Prince Diez. I am Prince Diez. My father, the King of the Musical Kingdom Do Diez I, kicked me out of home because I did not want to study music. Note B. I know that in your Singing Castle all the instruments of the world are collected. Prince Diez. Yes. Note B. God! How wonderful they sound! Prince Diez. But that's not all. Our castle is surrounded by an amazing garden with singing roses. As soon as you touch one of them with your hand, the roses begin to sing. Two court ladies keep order in the kingdom: court lady Fari and court lady Mimi. I can still hear their voices. The ladies of the court appear. Fari (curtseying). Prince Diez, you missed the lesson! This is unacceptable for the heir to the kingdom. Mimi (curtseying). You... You still haven’t understood a simple thing: where does music originate, where are the streams of its roads? And this is you... the future heir of our kingdom. The prince covers his ears. Fari (stomping his foot angrily). We will complain about you to the king. The king appears. King C Sharp I. Oh, what I hear! Everything... Everything... Everything... My patience has come to an end. I don't want to see you in the Music Kingdom anymore! If you don’t understand where music originates, where the streams of its roads are, then don’t come back! In that case, I cannot make you my heir. The king and the court ladies leave. Note C. Don't worry, Prince Diez, we will help you. The Forest Fairy appears - Aunt Silence. Forest Fairy. Let's start with the main thing: where does music originate? Remember, Prince, how these first magical sounds came to your cradle. And to do this, close your eyes and sit quietly, and you will hear. The prince closes his eyes, Queen Fermata appears with a doll and sings a lullaby. Queen Fermata. Sleep, my boy! The birds are sleeping, The lionesses fed the lion cubs, Timid roe deer leaned against the oak trees and fell asleep in the grove, Fish dozed under the water, The gray-haired catfish rested. The howling of wolves and the cries of owls, Do not disturb children's dreams! Queen Fermata leaves. Prince Diez. I remembered this song and my mother’s gentle voice. Forest Fairy. That's good. And then the notes will help you. (Disappears.) Note C. Well, let's continue the lesson. Where does music originate? Where are the streams of her roads? Come with me. (The note C leads the prince to a scenery depicting a forest.) Now listen! What do you hear? The sounds of the singing forest are heard. Prince Diez. The trees are rustling. Note C. They are the ones singing. Here every tree has its own melody. Try to hear it. Prince Diez listens to the sounds of wildlife. Prince Diez. I didn't know that trees also have their own lullabies. That oak tree (points with his hand) now sang to me a song that his mother sang to him 300 years ago. How nice it would be to tell my father about this (sad). The note C leaves, the note D approaches the prince. Note D. It's not just the trees that sing in the forest. Listen! (The voices of birds sound.) What is a forest without birds? Birds are the main singers of the forest. Do you hear how diligently they repeat their scales? They are trying for us. After all, even birds cannot perform without rehearsals. The note Re leaves, the note Mi approaches the prince. Note E. Well, the chorus of birds fell silent. Everything became quiet and hid. And the grass bent to the ground. The singing of the birds suddenly stopped. The note E picks up a tambourine and hits it sharply. Note E. Suddenly... Thunder struck the cloud, thundered... And suddenly everything became quiet. Quietly, quietly. Baba Rain Maiden comes out, followed by another, a third... Now there’s already a whole round dance of them. And sings the song of the rain. Prince Diez (joyfully). Note E, I understand, I understand everything. Rain has many different melodies. Nota Mi gives the prince an umbrella. Prince Diez (cheerfully). It is raining under an umbrella, From under the umbrella he sings: “I am neither rare nor frequent, Not accidental, not in vain. Still, the rain is real, real and alive, between heaven and earth!” The note E leaves, the notes Fa and Sol approach the prince. Note Fa. O dear prince, you are beginning to understand something, but that is not all. Music also lurks in our fantasies. Try to hear her too. Note Fa takes the glass. Note Fa. I stir the tea in my glass, and think about the ocean. Lemon, like a sailboat, floats and calls me on a long journey. Note Salt. Now listen to me. (Shows the prince a sea shell.) This shell was once washed up by a wave on the seashore. Put it to your ear. Do you hear? The sea from the globe began to sing within her, and her heart was filled with splashes and foam. Prince Diez (listening to the conch shell). And I hear the sea talking angrily to the wind. Note Salt. Fine. Now come to the notes A and B. The notes F and G go away. Note A. Where does music originate? Where are the streams of her roads? In verse - my heart told me - The beginning of musical lines. Note B. Prince Diez, you will now hear poems by two poets. They are written on the same theme, but their melody and colors are different. Note A. Greedily and cheerfully he breathes the fresh air of the fields, gray steam boils and puffs from his flaming nostrils. Full of strength, bold in the wild, neighed in a loud voice, the horse started up - and Brown-legged galloped into the field! Note B. Now listen to another poem. O sea horse, With a pale green mane, Sometimes calm, affectionately tame, Now furiously playful! I love you when you rush headlong with a cheerful neigh, throw your hooves into a ringing run and fly into the spray!.. The melody “Frisky Horses” sounds. The Prince and Notes perform a horse dance. Note B. Dear Prince, you can return home. Do you understand where music originates, where are the streams of its roads? King Do Diez I and Queen Fermata will be pleased with you. Prince Diez. Thank you, sheet music. Farewell. I will try to become a worthy heir to the Music Kingdom. Note C. No, no, Prince Diez, goodbye! We'll meet Again! And now we will see you off. Prince Diez and the notes join hands and sing the song “How fun it is for us to walk through the open spaces.”
Take care of food and drinks
What is a karaoke party without alcohol? Don't be afraid to offer your guests cocktails or just beer. Most likely, people will not dare to approach the microphone until they have had a few drinks. Make sure there is a variety of drinks on the table so that everyone can find something to suit their taste. For food, prepare small treats and place them separately. This way, guests can have a snack between songs without disturbing other performers. These could be chips, crackers, salted nuts, cheese and vegetable slices, olives, fresh berries or small cakes.
