  • Competition "Oath" (for newlyweds)
  • Wedding wish
  • Relay race at the table - “Who will give the toast?”
  • Wedding competition – “Alphabet”

Like any other special event, a wedding ceremony is not just an official registration of a relationship, but also fun. In the process of drawing up the holiday script, not the least place is given to various competitions. Most often, experienced presenters, toastmasters, and animators are hired to entertain guests. If the budget does not allow for excesses, below are several options for games that guests of different ages can be involved in.

Such different letters

During the entertainment process, all participants are divided into equal numbers of team members. For example, consider the option of two teams , each of which has 4 people (the number will depend on the length of the words). Thus, the teams will form 4-letter words. In a competition at a wedding, you need to make words from letters that the host asks.

The main task of the organizer is to prepare in advance all the necessary props and pairs of letters

In this case, you should be very careful that only 1 letter from a pair takes part in creating a word. The task is given for each team separately.

And now the most exciting process begins - the participants take their places, take the signs in their hands and line up in one row. The toastmaster asks a riddle, the answer to which will be a word consisting of 4 letters. It is prohibited to pass signs to each other; they must be swapped between sides. At the same time, time is recorded to determine whose team won and completed the task faster.

The host should first discuss the competition program and the prizes awarded in order to please everyone present.

Set for 2 teams

The second command will need pairs of letters:

  1. Table 1 – W/W

    Competition "Oath" (for newlyweds)

The host invites the newlyweds to read the oath to the invited guests. But it's not that simple. First, guests come up with creative adjectives (about 10 words). The newlyweds write down these desired words for themselves. After this, the adjectives are entered in the order in which they were written down on the piece of paper that the presenter will provide.

Competition with words for the bride and groom: oath

Such a competition with adjectives for a wedding is really interesting and will attract everyone present with its originality. And all because in the end you will get a funny, comic oath that will be remembered not only by the bride and groom, but also by all the guests.

    Wedding wish

Continuing the theme of games with letters for a wedding, you should not overlook the game “Wishes”. 6 people take part in the entertainment. As in the first competition, you must first prepare cards with letters that make up the word - love. These cards are placed in a special box.

Each guest taking part in the entertainment takes turns approaching the box and drawing one of the cards. The main task is to come up with as many wishes as possible for the letter that comes across.

Wedding letter game: wishes for all letters of the word “Love”

Among the cards there will be a “b”, in this case the participant can come up with various wishes, the main thing is that they must contain “b”. The winner is the one who can come up with the most wishes .

    Organization of holidays

    Auction of kind words

At this auction, various things associated with the hero of the day, or that previously belonged to him, are “sold”, although this is not necessary, it is enough to simply declare that these things belonged to him. The winner of the next lot is not the one who pays the highest price, but the one who says the most kind words to the hero of the day. Lots can be like this:

    • First diaper
    • First nipple
    • Laces from the first shoes
    • First diary
    • First tie
    • First car keys

Separately, you can count who will say the most compliments to the hero of the day during the competition, and award him a cardboard medal “For eloquence and strong friendship.”

    Quiz "Know-It-All Friend"

Let's find out who knows the birthday boy best. Examples of questions:

    • At what time was the hero of the day born?
    • In what locality was he born?
    • What was his first toy?
    • In what year and what school did he go to first grade?
    • What was the name of his first teacher?
    • In what subject and what was his first grade?
    • Who was his best friend at school?
    • Who was his first love?
    • What specialty did he study at the university?
    • What subjects came easiest to him? Which ones were not given?
    • When did he receive his first salary? What size?
    • What ties does he prefer?
    • What is your favorite song, favorite artist?
    • When and under what circumstances did he meet his future wife?
    • What flowers did you give her?
    • What's her favorite dish she cooks?
    • When did you get married?
    • When were each of the children born? Which relatives helped choose their names?
    • What kind of car does he have?

The one who answers the most questions correctly receives the “Most Inquisitive Friend” medal.

    Poetry competition

Guests are divided into two teams, and in two minutes they must compose an ode to the birthday boy, which must contain the words: anniversary, friends, feast, path, success

. The winners are determined by the hero of the day.

    Blind artists

Participants are blindfolded, and during the playing of one song (3 minutes) they must draw a hero of the day, who will then determine the winner.

    My years are my wealth

Guests take turns naming the benefits that a person receives with age, for example:

    • Discretion
    • Patience
    • Sympathy
    • Ability to value relationships

The last one to name one of these qualities wins.

Relay race at the table - “Who will give the toast?”

To entertain guests, you can arrange a relay race, which is held at the festive table. This competition will decide who can be the first to make a ceremonial toast to a young family.

    Wedding word game: toasts

The relay race is carried out in this way - the guests have their glasses filled, and they take turns clinking glasses with their neighbor and at the same time say a short wish (for example, many children, have a dog, build a house, buy a car, a good job). Two halves of the guests can take part in the competition (that is, one team from the bride’s side, and the other from the groom’s side). The winners are those whose toasts reach the newlyweds the fastest.

    Wedding competition – “Alphabet”

The wedding alphabet is ideal for a themed wedding in the style of “School Years”. And in any other version, holding this competition would be very appropriate.

The toastmaster initially invites those present to fill their glasses for the newlyweds, but before doing this, he wants to check how well the guests know the alphabet : everyone says a wish to those present, starting with a certain letter.

    Wedding "Alphabet"

After this, the toastmaster approaches the first guest with a microphone and invites him to start. Of course, the first wish should begin with the letter “A”, respectively, the second guest begins his toast with the letter “B” and continues further in alphabetical order.

At first everything seems simple, until one of the guests hits the letter “Y”. It is at this moment that the fun begins, since in this case there is often a lack of imagination. These are a kind of wedding puzzles, and if it is difficult for the guests to cope on their own, the toastmaster should help them.

Therefore, the presenter must prepare in advance and have a prepared wish ready for absolutely every letter of the alphabet.

Any newlywed couple wants their wedding day to be unspoiled and the guests to be in a great mood. Competitions should be selected based on each guest. Competitions and games with words and letters are a great option for entertaining all guests.
