I also realized that for such videos you need to make a frame-by-frame plan in advance and shoot staged fragments so that all the guests play the role you have invented and look as impressive as possible. If you just catch guests at a party with your camera, there will be a lot of blurry faces, bad angles in the dark and embarrassed lowered eyes in response to the request “say something funny.” You definitely won’t rewatch boring fragments, even if each of them is reduced to 5 seconds.
That’s why I suggest you organize not just competitions, but think through a frame-by-frame plan for filming a New Year’s video with the participation of guests. To make it interesting, we will film them “in action.” Moms, dads, children and grandchildren, uncles and aunties, grandparents will also have fun and participate in your competitions and tasks, but in the end you will edit a cool video that will delight you for many years to come. It will not be a shame to show your successful work to relatives and friends who could not celebrate the New Year with you.
Once again, briefly about my idea: We hold games, competitions and quizzes, while still managing to shoot pre-thought-out footage (3-10 second fragments) for a New Year’s video clip. The entertainment program itself will be different stages of the filming of the film “Striped Flight. Remake 2022.” We think through the background, lighting, accessories, and the number of guests in each fragment, competition and task in advance. The total duration of the clip is equal to the length of the musical composition, which you also select before the start of the holiday.

Thirdly , all the friends and relatives to whom you send a link to the finished masterpiece will not watch the film, which is too long.

Personally, I will make an attempt to show my children a film from 60 years ago, because with my endless comments about the actors and interesting incidents during filming, they are ready to watch anything.
You and I will not try to repeat the plot in 3 minutes, since we are immediately making a kind of compilation of the best moments (trailer for the film), in which some characters from “Striped Flight” of 1961 participate. Everything is very symbolic and New Year’s, naturally. Even if we wanted to, we couldn’t recreate the escape of the tigers from their cage for the sake of a remake.

Naturally, we take this idea if most of your guests are over 35 years old. And at this age, alas, not everyone watched Soviet films, from which all these phrases went to the people, but it’s worth a try.

We take a piece of paper out of the hat/box/vase and read it to the camera as effectively as possible: “I will command the parade!”, “I demand that the banquet be continued!”, “Here I am walking beautifully down the street, and the men around me are falling and falling... You need a game of speed, throwing objects at a target or a relay race with a very short distance. If you have some interesting props at home, that’s generally good. If not, we use candies, tangerines, apples (transfer them on a spoon from one end to the other), string the dryers onto a bright ribbon (New Year’s beads). You can also put together the phrase “Happy New Year” using the letters of a cardboard store-bought garland.
Sometimes I cut large pictures (finished cutting with Santa Claus, Snow Maiden, Snowman, Tiger) into several polygons. We assemble for speed. For children, the fragments are larger; for adults, we cut them smaller). Team competition accompanied by fun music.
This time I will offer adults and children to feed the tiger. You can edit in InShot or Videoleap. There are many other programs for smartphones; any child over 8 years old will show you and tell you how to use them. If you took photos, put everything together in a presentation with music, that's also very cool.
In all programs, music and text can be easily applied (title, credits, you can also add captions to some frames).
