Despite all this, preparations began only with the rapid approach of the holiday. We only prepared the jellyfish in advance. Disposable bowls painted pink fit this role very well. Roughly imagining the theme of the holiday in FP, I bought shells, fish and all sorts of other marine-themed accessories for gifts for competitions. I bought ribbons and beads in the craft store, and whatman paper, cardboard, and paints for stationery

A small wreath was born completely spontaneously

A set for making frames, bought in the summer, also matched the theme, my nephew filled in the shapes, and I painted them.

Then almost all the time was spent on the windows. I wanted to draw a Sponge on the window. Stas liked this business and Patrick appeared. In the cartoon, the balls are in the shape of gloves, and we used the baby’s hand, I painted it with yellow gouache and applied it to the glass. This is how the ball and the memorable imprint appeared. At first I thought of making stained glass drawings, but it was already getting dark early and they would not have been visible, so I painted with gouache, diluting a little with PVA. After drawing three characters, I realized that I needed to paint the window frame, and then the window sill. She laid out shells, sea figurines and pebbles on the windowsill. I decorated the second window in the same way.

I tried to make waves on the ceiling using ribbons, and attached pendants to the places where they were attached (beads, pompom balls and pictures of characters on a silver thread)

I had two old calendars with SpongeBob, the previews from the calendars were used for pendants, and the main sheets were used for wall decoration. I chose the appropriate pictures. I glued them onto a roll of wallpaper to give it density. For some I made frames from whatman paper and decorated them with cartoon confetti, and for others I made frames from ribbons.

I prepared an 80x60 poster in Photoshop with photos of the baby and invitations.

And out of cardboard, at Stas’s request, I made the number 4. The idea was to make a pineapple house out of cardboard with empty windows for photography, but there was only one box and it was used for the number. The figure was covered with construction tape and painted with yellow paint. Of course, it would have been nice to paint it in two layers, but the paint we needed turned out to be bad, I painted it two days before the holiday in the snow, dried it near the stove... In the end, we decided not to paint it a second time, but to decorate it with confetti. It turned out quite elegant.

For competitions, I opened Wikipedia and, based on the information about the cartoon, compiled competitions: Quiz (questions about the cartoon) Button fish (a kit for creating an applique from buttons)

Competition to see who can blow the most bubbles. One of GB and Patrick's hobbies is blowing soap bubbles. GB invented his own formula for blowing bubbles. Everyone took turns blowing bubbles, and the three winners were determined.

Competition: Assemble a puzzle (I bought a book with puzzles with pirates and ships)

Jellyfish Hunting Competition. (While fast music is playing, 4/4 are throwing balls and jellyfish. That year, the kid was very worried when the winners received gifts after the competitions, so a different system was chosen. For the competitions, guests received StasMani (made in FS) and Spongy (coins made from candy). There was a table with prizes in the corner and you could make a trade at the end of the evening. Guests like this system better and the child was not nervous)

And a photo prop that recently became a photo prop. Since all the template props mustaches, lips, wedding basically, one of the characters herself had to be cut out in the film. I printed it out on a color printer, cut it out, glued it onto cardboard for strength, and cut it out again. Some were pixelated and I colored them with a marker. I glued the sticks with a gun. If I had more time, I would have printed out the outlines or drawn and painted them myself... But everything is always done at the last moment, at least for me.

The finale of the holiday, of course, was a cake (cakes have not yet been studied for me, so we made it to order)

Preparatory stage

A week before my birthday, I sewed this character - SpongeBob Square Pants. It was very easy and simple to create. For this, an ordinary pillow was needed (I took a synthetic padding pillow, an “unnecessary” pillow, so that in the future the children could play with it). I bought yellow fabric. I sewed a yellow “pillowcase” for it. Then I sewed the arms and legs separately, inside of which there was also padding polyester. I sewed them to the resulting “body”. I drew his face and clothes, taking into account his peculiar appearance: brown trousers, white shirt, red tie, black shoes.

After that, I started preparing a poster called “Happy Birthday, Valeria!” Several photographs of my daughter, starting from newborn age, were glued to a piece of whatman paper.

All this was a surprise for my daughter. But she was asked to compile the guest list and create invitations.

For the competitions, medals were made from colored cardboard, which were intended for the most... (dexterous, resourceful, cheerful, mischievous, etc.).

We decorated the apartment with balloons.

We also needed the following attributes: colored paper, markers, scissors, glue, string, thread, newspapers, dance music.

Hello Sunshine"! I want to express my deep gratitude for existing. There is a place where you can find ideas not only for a child's birthday, but also for an adult. I am sending you the script for our third birthday. Much was taken here, some was redone for our children. Thanks everyone for their ideas! I started my preparation with the name of the holiday, and only then began to build on it. For a long time I couldn’t decide which was better to choose, the cartoon “Cars” or “SpongeBob”. Roma liked both. But, after thinking, looking through all the ideas collected, I chose SpongeBob.

At first it was decided that when Roma went to bed, we would hang up posters and inflate balloons, but there was no surprise. Roma didn’t want to go to bed, so we hung everything up in the evening. Roma helped us a lot, even inflated the balloons himself...

A little about what I prepared in advance for the guests.

The first is an invitation. We distributed them to all guests in advance.

Then I made an album with wishes. I took a photo on a marine theme. I bought a notebook. I cut each sheet in the notebook in half (so that the photo was visible), and pasted the photo at the end. I decorated the album itself and the sheets. On the back of each sheet I pasted a photo with poems for each and our sayings. There are a lot of them accumulated. Each guest wrote a wish for Roman.

I also made a movie in Windows Movie Maker, where I collected the best photos over three years, divided them by year, about summer, New Year, birthdays, etc., inserted music, and a cover for discs. Each guest received such a disc from us as a gift.

My mother writes poems for photos. For which I thank her very much!!! Since all the photos couldn’t fit on 2 sheets of whatman paper, I pasted the remaining ones onto colored cardboard and hung wall newspapers on the sides.

We hung a “Happy Birthday!” ribbon. and posters. One poster was from “Sunny”, and the second was from “We were born on this day”. It was very interesting to find out which celebrities were born on this day. I found information about those born on this day on the Internet.

Well, I’ll start telling you how our third anniversary passed.

Day one, May 17.

We waited for this day for a very long time, Roma asked every day when “Nyom Adenya” would be, and now it has finally arrived - this long-awaited, joyful and full of surprises day...

I woke up before everyone else, put a surprise next to Roma - SpongeBob stickers, a book and a cap. While going about my business, I heard a rustling sound, I went into the room... Roma was sitting and trying to put on the cap. Delight knew no bounds; finally, he waited for this day!

On this day, Roma's friends were expected. I didn’t make a separate table for the children; there were only three of them. I had my own program for them. True, we didn’t manage to do everything - the children really liked the pool with balls, where they spent most of their time.

The script was often reworked, it turned out that two boys were 3 years old, and the second was almost 2, there was an age difference. I chose the simplest tasks, I think everything worked out.

At the very beginning, I told the children that SpongeBob and Patrick had prepared gifts for them, but they wouldn’t just give them away, they needed to complete all the tasks that they came up with.

First test.

You need to find candies in the ball pool. They searched willingly, but there was one drawback: instead of sweets, they had to take something else. The kids weren’t allowed sweets, which I didn’t know about. As a result, our birthday boy ate almost all the candy.

Second test.

The sea inhabitants are left without water, we need to help them. We filled the small aquarium with water. The point is that when water was poured, all the sea animals surfaced. The children then fussed around in the aquarium for a long time until they removed it.

Third test.

It was necessary to throw balls into a basket from a distance. But the children themselves decided how they should play this game. They came closer. They really liked it. Even after everything, they continued to throw balls again.

Fourth test.

SpongeBob and Patrick forgot to decorate gifts for Roma. I printed out coloring pages from the cartoon SpongeBob that I found on the Internet. They didn’t like to draw, they just scribbled a little. Apparently they didn't find it very interesting.

At the very end, I thanked them all on behalf of SpongeBob and Patrick and gave them SpongeBob stickers with medals. Then watch a cartoon. True, we only watched for about 20 minutes and ran off to play with balls.

In the evening we sang “Loaf” and brought out a cake with a candle in the shape of a three.

We were let down with the cake. I wanted one with SpongeBob, but we didn’t order it because we promised that they would be there, but when they arrived, they weren’t there. By lunchtime my husband still hadn’t found one, so he bought a simple one. But the kids don’t care what it is, they liked it too.

And according to the old tradition, they ate the cake like this...

Now every year we give the children a cake, and they eat it as they want. I would like to note that this way children willingly eat the cake. I noticed that if you cut a cake, they don’t even fit into it.

Day two, May 18.

It was Monday; relatives were expected that day.

In the morning we woke up early, we had to go to kindergarten. They took a cake to the kindergarten (which I made myself late at night) with candles. Roma took balloons with him; he loves to inflate them. And in the evening, when they came from kindergarten, they barely had time to change clothes. And the doorbell rings!

The first to come were my grandmother, my uncle and his wife, who presented me with a Formula 1 highway. Before the rest of the guests arrived, the child was busy.

The guests got ready, had dinner, and the most interesting thing began - competitions (I held the same competitions on the first day for adults).

1. “Explainer.”

The participant pulls out a piece of paper with the name of a children's fairy tale. He needs to explain this name without words. Whoever guessed correctly receives a prize and draws the next piece of paper. This competition was a great success and everyone really enjoyed it. I didn't even expect that everyone would like it so much.

2. Quiz “Do you know the birthday boy?”

This competition has already become a tradition; now every guest knows everything about the birthday boy. Every year I run it, adding questions. I made medals for this competition in Photoshop, each medal had a different photo on it. I printed out the questions and medals, pierced them, put everything on a thread, and that’s it. Each guest chooses a medal and answers the question. If he answered correctly, he gets a medal.
