What to do?
Participants are divided into teams with the same number of people. The teams line up in separate rows, as the competition will be held in the form of a relay race. At the same distance from each team there are identical sets: a stack of pictures and medical supplies. At the “start” command, the first team members run up to the pictures, take the first one and compare it with some kind of drug. For example, if you come across a picture of a person holding his head with a painful look (he has a headache), you need to find the drug analgin. If you come across a picture of a person with red and irritated eyes, you need to find eye drops and so on. One picture and one drug per participant. The team that completes its relay race faster than the rest and correctly matches the pictures with the drugs will be the winner.
Nurse's Day
Congratulations to everyone involved in this vital profession! It’s a pity that our proverb “He who doesn’t work, doesn’t eat” works the other way around. Everyone knows that with such difficult and responsible work, nurses should have decent salaries. We wish you good luck, patience and increased wages! It's so banal. Why did this international holiday fall on May 12? The fact is that it was on this day that the famous Englishwoman Florence Nightingale was born, who during the Crimean War (1853 - 1856) organized the world's first service of sisters of mercy.
It is known that among the sisters of mercy who went to the front of the Crimean War, there were Russian nuns from the Moscow St. Nicholas Convent. Subsequently, many Russian aristocratic women worked in hospitals, including the wife and daughters of Emperor Nicholas II. So you can’t say about this profession; “This is not the king’s business!”
To celebrate this holiday, I have prepared some poems, a set of songs and a couple of videos. I hope everything is useful.
******************* In the familiar word “nurse” We are all used to seeing friendship, in her eyes there is compassion, warmth, care - that’s what all patients need! She heals the body like a doctor, And like a sister heals the soul, She heals so skillfully, She knows how to see, smell, listen! First presenter: Let's congratulate the glorious nurses And wish them good luck, And let the fire burn in their eyes, And let the smile shine more often! ********************* The nurse is good, a very kind soul! And a smile, like the sun, warms us through the window!
Very gentle hands, pleasant sounds of voices, They will instantly calm us down, All worries will be driven away!
To the nurse from the sick The aroma of forest flowers! Happiness, joy, love, Be healthy, live forever! ********************************** You heal not only with prescriptions, - you heal with a kind word and compassion, Each of you, without exception, deserves simple human happiness. And on your festive day, I wish that you are always lucky in everything, that your soul sings, that your heart feels cozy and warm, and that your salary soars to the skies! ***************************** Today, under the insinuating whisper of the foliage of the blooming bright green May, Happy International Nurses Day We warmly congratulate all nurses !
Who is authorized to look at assignment sheets even at night, without closing his eyes. Having completely forgotten that night usually has a different purpose...
Who performs different procedures on us In clinical centers, hospital wards. At the same time, with a sigh, they sacrifice their manicures to the altar of Hippocrates.
Those who breathe disinfectant are waiting for the SES. Who hides their lush hair under a hat? He hides his beautiful lips under a mask, And the tenderness of his hand is hidden in the rubber of a glove.
But just note that all Dream workwear excites and awakens the Desire to live! And such hopes, The hot blood boils.
Let all the patients greet you in your wards today with a bouquet of flowers! Health, love! And we wish the nurses a decent salary, after all! ********************************************
Front-line nurses had a special fate. The statistics on the death of medical workers during the war are terrible. Don't forget them - military doctors! Doctors not only of the Great Patriotic War, but also of the wars of modern history: Afghanistan and Chechnya.
When the lead of the attack goes berserk, I get up and run With a cross and a red crescent flashing a bag on my side And bullets click on the birches, and ahead there are bursts of darkness Where the infantry lies under fire behind a nearby tree in the snow I run with a jerk, I run without rest, without shelter from the fire And my heart doesn’t have enough air, and my strength is melting. There is a conflagration in my eyes, and my short fur coat is too big for me. But the blood of a fallen comrade does not tell me to stop. It won’t be long before the snow dusts my sore lips. Hang in there, battalion boys—the sister is rushing to your aid. I’ll let the squad leader wet his throat with a flask. And I won’t have time to receive a triangle with congratulations. Drops are ringing - the harbinger of spring, and winter snow is melting in the field. Meet your day, my age - A girl of eighteen years old. As befits a young woman, put on your best dress. And I was killed in the Smolensk region on International Women's Day. But if the attack goes crazy again, you know: I’ll run next to you. The bag on its side will dance with a cross and a red crescent.
And today is a holiday: let's cheer up!!!
A set of songs and materials for the Nurses' Day holiday is below:
International Nurses Day: what to give a nurse?
According to statistics, doctors and nurses are most often given champagne and sweets. In honor of the holiday, you can add variety to the traditional set. In many countries, it is customary to give gourmet gift baskets . The filling of the basket may vary. For example, “sweet”: a pack of coffee beans, a jar of good tea, natural cocoa and a beautiful coffee spoon or cup. You can complement the gift with chocolate or cakes. Another option is a “canning” basket: jars with caviar, pineapples, peaches, olives, etc. Such a hearty gift can be complemented with a bottle of wine.
A nurse working in a dental clinic can be given an original tooth-shaped piggy bank or a ballpoint pen in the shape of a toothbrush. You can present the nurse from the clinic with a pen in the shape of a syringe.
Nurses are women, and none of women's desires is alien to them. a bouquet of flowers or a bouquet of sweets/cookies would be a good gift for Nurse's Day
Caricatures can be given to nurses with humor: a kind nurse can be depicted as a strict lady in a white coat and with a huge enema or with a giant syringe in her hands. You can order photo cartoons: substitute the faces of real nurses with images of model nurses in erotic uniforms or nurse heroines from movies. Print out the photo cartoons and place them in frames. Nurses with a sense of humor will appreciate this gift.
Class notes "Meet the nurse - the doctor's right hand!"
Teacher:
Listen to Maria Skrabtsova’s poem “Nurse”:
Student:
Who is a nurse? This is the sister of all the sick. And a sister should be able to feel sorry for her loved ones, Calm down, support, Give a hand in time, Give a gentle injection, So that it doesn’t hurt. She must convince that the disease is not so terrible, that you are much stronger, that you fight it, and will win. A conversation with a kind nurse is like medicine for the sick - Words perform a miracle. Who is a nurse? She is the sister of all the sick. Don't know how to love? You can't be a nurse!
Teacher:
— Guys, what do you think: Why is a kind word so important for a sick person? When you are sick, what helps you get better?
Discussion: What should a nurse be able to do?
1) assist when a doctor conducts diagnostic and treatment actions and operations; 2) administer medications; 3) carry out all stages of the nursing process when caring for patients; 4) timely and efficiently carry out preventive, therapeutic and diagnostic procedures prescribed by the doctor; 5) interact with colleagues and employees of other services in the interests of patients. — Conclude: prove that the nurse is the doctor’s right hand.
Time travel.
Teacher:
Now we will go with you to the distant year 1844. The first community of nurses was formed in Russia. But then they were called sisters of mercy. — What do you think these words mean: “sister of mercy”? Think about what words “MERCY” was formed from, why “SISTER”?
The sisters of mercy assumed the following obligations: to provide care for the sick - this means “to help a person suffering from an illness live the most fulfilling life that brings pleasure.” According to the charter, girls and widows aged 20 to 40 were accepted into the community. The first year of work was a probationary year, where the mental and physical qualities required for work were tested, which only strong-willed women could withstand. The doctors taught the sisters the rules of caring for the sick, how to dress wounds, pharmacy, and recipes. A year later, the sisters took the oath and became full members of the community. Over time, they began to be invited to private and public hospitals; during wars, they were sent to field hospitals.
Discussion:
— What professionally important qualities do you think a nurse should have: 1) precise hand-eye coordination, well-developed fine motor skills; 2) composure, endurance, responsibility, balance; 3) communication skills, good concentration, good memory.
Holiday Events
It is unlikely that on May 12 you will see mass celebrations in the main squares of cities. But at the level of medical institutions, the holiday, of course, is celebrated. If the organization’s budget allows, then each woman holding the position of a nurse is presented with flowers, and men are given small memorable gifts. Sometimes management decides to reward distinguished representatives of nursing staff.
We must not forget about corporate parties, which are appropriate on May 12 or the next weekend. How best to conduct them?
- It is unlikely that anyone will decide to argue with the main theme of the holiday - medical. But you can choose the style of celebration: “Aibolit Party”, “Good Doctor Frankenstein”, “Festive Ambulance”, “Ancient Healers”, etc.
- The ambience and dress code depend on the chosen style, but it’s better not to recreate the atmosphere of a hospital - party participants will want to take a break from the work environment.
- The most important thing at an event is well-thought-out entertainment. On Nurse’s Day, the scenario will be decorated with such competitions as “Enema” (moving a balloon using air from a syringe), “First Aid Kit” (assembling a first aid kit by taking items out of an opaque bag by touch), etc.
For a party, it is worth preparing a comic quiz, where the host reads excerpts from songs (you can include these excerpts if you record them on one medium in advance), and the participants must guess from them what diagnosis is being discussed. For example, “My heart stopped, my heart froze...” - ari - torticollis, etc.
A game that can be called “Medical Crocodile” would also be appropriate. Some players must show symptoms of the disease, while others must guess what medicine they are being treated with.
If competitions require winners, then prizes must be prepared for them. These could be medical gloves, iodine, hematogen, packages of ascorbic acid, etc.
How did Nightingale's work influence modern nursing?
It has become apparent that nursing is a vast and multifaceted infrastructure that requires constant coordination. There was a need for some kind of organization that could, on the one hand, accumulate the experience gained by nurses, and on the other, defend their professional interests. The International Council of Nurses, created in 1899, became such an organization. It was truly an international organization; its members included girls from different countries - England, France, the USA, Australia. It was the International Council that initiated the creation of a single professional holiday for all countries - World Nurses Day, setting it for May 12. The holiday was officially approved in 1974.
