Now we come to the skirt. She, however, like the whole suit, is ultra-light. You literally fly in it.

Next are the shoes. Of course, they haven’t come up with a name for it yet, but I think it will be something French, like “Cherche-la-legs,” which translated means rubber boots of the past. These shoes will highlight your individuality and save your feet from water.

And finally, if you want to save money, and love to dress stylishly, and always be the very first and fashionable, then this suit is for you!

Be that as it may, the lack of a costume should not be the reason that the child will miss the holiday and the mother has to use her imagination and apply her design skills in creating a suitable outfit from scrap items.

To create a simple costume you will need:

Basic clothing. The basic clothing from which the costume will be created can be a dress, skirt with a turtleneck or T-shirt in red, yellow, brown or bronze shades. It will be good if the clothes have a themed print (leaves, twigs, berries) or trim made of shiny, iridescent fabrics;
Twigs and leaves. They are used for decorating and finishing a suit;
Accessories. If you don’t have time to sew an outfit, you can quickly decorate a suit with beautiful buttons, scraps of shiny brocade or organza, laces and beads - everything you have at home;
Head decoration. A suitable headdress should complete the look of the Autumn Queen. It could be a hoop, crown, hat or veil. They should be decorated accordingly - with autumn leaves, berries, pine cones cut out of colored paper (cardboard), wild mushrooms;
Tools. To create a costume you will need sewing (needle, thread, scissors) and stationery (PVA glue, colored paper and cardboard, pencil) supplies, and a glue gun.

To create a simple Autumn costume for a girl, they use ideas of ready-made images taken from the Internet. If this is not possible, you will have to use your imagination and ingenuity.

After you have chosen a suitable basic outfit - a dress or a skirt with a “top”, you need to think about how to decorate them in such a way that when you look at the finished work, it is immediately clear that this is an Autumn costume. The most impressive decor is natural leaves, twigs, and rowan berries, sewn or glued onto fabric. They need to be attached in such a way that they do not interfere or fly off when moving. Natural decor is used to trim the hem of a skirt or dress, sleeves and collars of turtlenecks, and lay out a beautiful ornament on the chest or back.

If jewelry made from natural materials is not enough, you can complement the look with beads and ribbons, which are attached to seemingly “empty” parts of the fabric. This decor is sewn on with thread or “set” on glue using a heating gun.

Light shoes or shoes, decorated with a scattering of golden sequins and natural or artificial maple leaves, will perfectly complete and complement the look. Tights or knee socks are selected to match the dress; they can be made of thin nylon or microfiber with a density of 40-60 denier.

Autumn fairy

If tomorrow is a themed event, and you don’t have a costume ready, then you can quickly create a bright outfit from scrap materials. As a base, I recommend taking a T-shirt (or golf) and a fluffy skirt in the same colors. This combination will create an interesting and memorable image.

Artificial autumn flowers, berries and fruits look best on clothes. They are easy to sew, and at the slightest touch they do not fall apart in a child’s hands. Due to its fragility, I do not recommend taking dried herbarium or fallen leaves. Among natural materials, I love acorns and rowan bunches.

If you don’t have time to look for autumn decor, then you can trim your clothes with bows from bright ribbons. There is plenty of such goodness in handicraft stores, and the selection is pleasing to the eye. The most current colors for the Autumn Ball may be:

yellow;
orange;
brown;
red;
sand.

I just make bows of different sizes and sew them to the neck, hem and sleeves. Are there large beads and sequins? Great, they’ll get into action too! It is important not to overdo it with brightness, otherwise it will not look very beautiful.

Copper wire bends well and does not break, so I advise you to make small wings from it. I cover it with thin transparent fabric, sew on some autumn decor and secure it at the top of the outfit with a ribbon or elastic band. To complete the look, you need a head decoration. I cover the children's headband with leaves, berries and acorns. That's it, the costume is ready!

We create a carnival autumn costume for a girl with our own hands

Girls participating in the festival dedicated to Autumn do not always get the main roles. There is no need to be upset about this; parental ingenuity and inspiration can even turn you into a princess:

Tuchka. The main element of the cloud's costume is a wide-brimmed hat, which must be covered on all sides with blue-painted holofiber (medical cotton wool). The more flakes on the hat, the more magnificent and rich it looks. Droplets cut out of felt or cardboard, or threads of blue beads or large beads, are sewn to the lower parts of the headdress. The lower part of the costume is a cape made of blue or light blue satin, decorated with the same decor as the hat (droplets, beads, beaded threads);
Fungus. Boletuses and boletuses are frequently encountered characters in children's matinees. Don’t think that this is an exclusively boyish image; girls also quite often have to play one or another mushroom. The main element of the costume is the headdress - the hat. Making it yourself without certain skills is quite difficult. The simplest option is a color image on cardboard attached to the hair. A more complex option is a circle cut out of fabric of a suitable color (red for fly agarics, red for chanterelles), which needs to be stuffed with cotton wool and sewn on both sides to form a hat. The bottom of the suit can be as simple as the mushroom leg itself - a white turtleneck and a white skirt with tights. In this version, the main thing is to place the main emphasis on the hat and decorate it with various elements - leaves, rowan berries, beads and shiny stones reminiscent of dew drops;
Vegetable. Autumn vegetables such as pumpkin, tomato, eggplant and cabbage are “frequent guests” at children's parties. It is very simple to sew such a suit - a fluffy skirt is assembled from pieces of tulle of the desired color, which is put on over a matching golf shirt or t-shirt. A hoop decorated with a figurine of a vegetable, sewn from felt and beads, is put on the head.

Tuchka

I chose this creative image when there was a little less than a day left before the event. I have never suffered from forgetfulness, but somehow I missed the holiday. I woke up with horror and started looking for the simplest outfit. The result was very pleasing.

So, I bought a simple hat, the kind that you don’t mind experimenting with. It was quite durable and held its shape well. The original source suggested using a plastic version, but, to be honest, I couldn’t find it. By the way, to make the color match, you can simply apply the desired tone with spray paint or cover it with fabric.

To make the headdress look like a cloud, I covered the entire surface with cotton wool. The more fluffy the material, the more beautiful the final result, so I advise you not to skimp on raw materials. The resulting mop looked like a blond clown from a children's cartoon. I sprayed the top a couple more times, adding gray notes.

It is better to make droplets from felt: the material does not become shaggy, which saves time and nerves. I still had pieces of blue and light blue, which I fixed on a thread using hot glue. The first few pieces were ruined because I tried to sew them to the twine with a needle. I glue the finished rain garland to the brim of the hat, under the cotton wool. As I worked, I experimented with the length of the ropes, so it turned out unusual.

This headdress goes with any dark clothing, although it looks best in a raincoat and bright rubber boots. The advantage of the image is that it is relevant for both girls and boys. I recommend immediately warning your child not to touch the top layer of the hat, otherwise an active child may tear the cloud into pieces.

DIY Autumn Beauty outfit

For mothers who know how to handle sewing supplies and know what a pattern is, the following option for creating a costume for an autumn festival in kindergarten or school will be useful. To work you will need:

any loose fabric for a dress in light brown, yellow or red tones - 1.5 meters for the skirt and 0.8 meters for the top;
shiny organza or any other fabric with shimmer;
glue gun;
pattern paper;
a piece of dry toilet soap;
artificial or real maple leaves, which are pre-coated on both sides with paraffin or varnish for durability;
beads, ribbons or sequins for decoration;
a piece of thick soft wire.

The first step in the work is preparing the pattern. A diagram is drawn on paper, which is then cut out and applied to the fabric. Using soap, the contours of the pattern are traced over the material and the parts necessary to create the costume are cut out - the front and back of the jacket, sleeves and skirt.

Next, the back and chest are sewn together, and organza sleeves are sewn to them. After the sleeves are sewn on, their edges are cut diagonally and cut into thin fringe-like strips or zigzag stitched to create a “wave” effect.

A skirt cut according to the sun-flared principle is sewn to the upper part. The edges of the skirt are processed in the same way as the sleeves - cut into fringes or trimmed with a zigzag.

One or two layers of organza are sewn on top of a thick petticoat, which gives the outfit more airiness and solemnity. Maple leaves are glued on top of the shiny material, mixed with other decor available at hand.

The crown for the Autumn Beauty is made from wire, which is pasted over with the remnants of the fabric from the dress on all sides. For convenience, the crown is placed on the floor of the head in front, and on the other side a thin elastic band is attached to match the hair. The crown is decorated with artificial or natural dried maple leaves, which are glued to a wire base using a glue gun.

Accessories and additions to complete the look

The following accessories can complement the “Autumn Beauty” look:

Umbrella. It’s hard to imagine autumn without rain, so a girl in an appropriate costume just needs a small umbrella to complete the look. The accessory can be red, yellow or completely transparent. The main thing is that it does not have a pattern or ornament that is inappropriate in style;

In an instant the idea arose to sew a new suit. Having thought through the details, I started making it.

1. For the cloak-mantle, I needed 3 meters of yellow satin with a width of 150 cm. I folded the fabric in half and got a square. On the back, I deepened the neckline by 1.5 cm. I cut out the neckline, rounded the edges of the mantle and finished it all with red piping.

2. To make the crown I used a summer hat which I painted with yellow acrylic spray paint. Small pumpkins on autumn leaves served as decoration for the hands.

3. To decorate the cloak - mantle and crown, I used artificial autumn leaves, which I glued on with a hot gun.
