All to the dacha! 12 Cool Garden Party Decor Ideas

With the onset of the warm season - summer, many of us spend most of our free time, and sometimes entire holidays, at our dachas. For some, a dacha is an opportunity to grow vegetables and fruits (as they say, your own tastes better), and some use their dacha as a place where they can relax in the company of family and close friends.

In this article, the News portal “Vtemu.by” decided to share with you original ideas for decorating a dacha with your own hands for a birthday or any other parties.
After all, celebrating family holidays and throwing parties in the fresh air, away from the bustle of the city, is much more pleasant and fun. So let's get started...

How to decorate a cottage for a party?

Any holiday is, of course, a festive table. Therefore, for any dish you prepare to look beautiful and appetizing, it must be on a beautifully decorated table. To decorate the holiday table, use bright tablecloths and napkins.

DIY tent game

This game is perfect for playing somewhere in the forest. All those present must be divided into two teams and given the task of building a real hut. The time should not be stretched, but it is better to limit it to 20-30 minutes. The hut must have strong walls and a roof. A prerequisite is that all team members must fit into it. You can use any materials - sticks, leaves... The team whose hut will be more stable, stronger and can accommodate all participants will win.

Satin ribbons

Multi-colored ribbons can be an original solution for decorating a holiday table. You can also decorate chairs with ribbons and build a real tent.

If you don’t have ribbons on hand, you can use multi-colored threads or scraps of fabric to decorate your dacha.

An unusual solution could be a hula hoop decorated with ribbons. Hula hoops with ribbons can be hung above the holiday table or on the nearest fruit tree. Add a few bells and the composition will delight not only the eye, but also the ear.

Game "Time to Jump"

This entertainment is analogous to jumping over a fire. But if jumping over fire is quite dangerous, then jumping over a “log” is very simple, and most importantly, safe for health. For the role of a log, you can choose a person who is fast asleep, who will definitely be found not far from strong drinks. Just remember that you definitely need to jump over the newly made “log” an even number of times, because otherwise it won’t grow J

The main thing in the game is to have time to capture each participant during the jump.

Decorative vases

To decorate the holiday table, use vases with floating flowers. Making such compositions is not at all difficult. To prevent the flowers from drowning, attach a small piece of packaging cellophane to their base. If the party is planned in the evening, you can add floating candles to the flowers.

“Pass the bag” relay race

Good old-fashioned relay races can also be a great way to have fun.

You need to prepare a small bag of peas or sand. At the venue, draw two parallel lines at a distance of 5-7 meters from each other. Or simply designate them conditionally, where two trees can become the starting point. Next, you need to divide everyone present into 2 teams. Players from both teams line up next to each other near one of the lines. The first participant is placed on his head. Players from both teams start at the same time. The participant must walk with this small bag on his head to the second line, sit down, turn around three times around his axis, return to the team and pass the bag to the next player. If the bag falls during the task, the player returns to the team and performs all the actions again. The team whose members complete the task first will win.

It is interesting to conduct a relay race when everyone present has had a little drink and it will be more difficult to complete the task.

Balloons

What's a holiday without balloons? To decorate your garden, use regular balloons. To make balloon compositions look more impressive, tie them onto long sticks and place them around the area.

Game "Bring it whole"

For this fun game, you need to divide everyone present into teams of 2 people. One of them will be a cook, and the other a courier. Roles can be assigned by drawing lots. The chef's task is simple. He needs to stand with a conventional frying pan (or a real one) and wait for the courier. But for a courier the task is more difficult. He is given a spoon and a raw egg. The task is to bring the egg, lying in a spoon, which is clamped in the teeth, intact to the cook. The distance between team members must be at least 5 meters. But the more, the better. The team whose courier brings the whole egg first will win.

Natural flowers

Garlands of fresh flowers can be an excellent decoration for a dacha. To make them, it is not at all necessary to use expensive roses or carnations - even the most ordinary wildflowers (daisies, dandelions, bells, etc.) will do. Tie flower buds to a rope to make beads. Decorate fruit trees, bushes, gazebos and canopies with ready-made garlands of flowers.

Decorate your summer cottage with wreaths of flowers, branches and grass. To create wreaths, you can also use what grows in your garden - carrots, radishes, green onions, cabbage, etc. If you wash the vegetables and herbs, you can decorate your holiday table with these edible wreaths.

Competition "Beer Checkers"

To carry it out, you need to draw a kind of chessboard with chalk or paint on the asphalt or grass. In each cell you need to place a small glass of beer (for the more daring, you can put cans or bottles of beer). Of course, the packaging should be different.

The players take on a real game of checkers, where the checkers themselves are beer. And when one of the players hits the checker, he must drink its contents as a reward. You cannot refuse your prize - this is perceived as a personal insult.

Electric garlands

If your party plans to last until late in the evening, then be sure to decorate the area with electric garlands, candles and lanterns.

Well, and finally, I would like to add - don’t be afraid to show your imagination, because many of the most amazing decoration options come from those who love experiments!

How to decorate a gazebo for a birthday?

Garden party for friends - celebrating a birthday at the dacha (sharing experience ;-) )

Spring is outside the window!
The snow is really in no hurry to go away, but the sun is shining as if summer is very soon and it’s tempting to go to the dacha! I want to share with you, dear Sevadacha residents, something very personal - just like that, without competition - for the soul. What if it will make you happy again and maybe even inspire you to do something?))) I remember our garden party last summer. This idea has been inspiring for a long time (well, a year or two) - and now my sister and I implemented it)))) Abroad, such garden parties are called Garden Parties (which means a holiday in the garden) and their distinctive feature (for example, from our simple kebab houses) gatherings are mainly in decor, decorating the surrounding space.And this is necessary so that people feel as comfortable in the garden as, for example, in a house.

My birthday is June 24, and Lyalka’s is June 17. As you can see, the difference is only 7 days - and we decided to celebrate it together this time, on the 24th, and call all our friends - general and “personal”)))

DECOR The day before, I shook out all the scraps and remnants of cotton fabric - and sewed flags from them, my friends also shared the remnants of fabrics (Yulechka, special thanks!) - the result was a garland of chintz flags - very cute, and so unique!

FURNITURE We pulled out 2 tables and all the chairs, stools and benches from the house so that there was enough for all our friends, and there were 15 of us gathered (not all of them are in the photo, some arrived later)

FOOD For starters we had a couple of salads and okroshka! We laid it out on fixed price plates - they are very cute. Salads were placed in disposable plates, but not these plastic ones, but cardboard ones with funny drawings. There were also sandwiches, and for main course - shish kebab! Drinks include tea, mineral water, compote and our favorite - home-brewed mulled wine! We brewed it both alcoholic and non-alcoholic (for those who don’t drink or drive) - we brewed it right here in the garden, which is why it turned out especially tasty - all our friends really liked it.

In general, look at the photos - they will say more:

preparations are in full swing

I'm hanging my vaunted garland))

the guys helped take out the furniture and set the table - now they are waiting for the others to arrive

you can see her better here

Friends gave me a bunch of balloons - there were notes inside. I put the camera on a tripod and do not cut down the dry branch of the apple tree - on ordinary days it serves as a support for the clothesline

we pulled out everything that was from the house) in the photo - one of the old metal watering cans that my sister and I “decoupaged” - don’t judge strictly, we didn’t do decoupage at all

a little more of our spontaneous garden decor - we made it from what we had)) the chicken kebab is browned))

Who needs okroshka supplements?

friends delight and surprise with gifts))

present..

more gifts)))

our friends are like us - they handed out gifts, while simultaneously making fun of us)) our friend Pasha caught all the smiles with the camera)) for which a special thank you to him

)))

view from the house to our “clearing”

we even had a hookah) a friend brought it - he knows a lot about them

Even the youngest guests had fun

you can look at 3 things endlessly... by the way, the idea to decorate a fire pit in this way belongs to my sister (implementation - by her + her MCH)

the cake was solemnly brought out)) we also had cakes (I’m making excuses for why the cake is small) in anticipation of tasty treats))

making wishes, blowing out candles))

and now the tea has arrived) my sister gave me a mint-colored teapot - it’s wonderful!

blossoming of lupines - decor from nature itself!

viburnum blooms) - and also creates beauty and celebration

this photo was taken at the beginning)

and it was already evening - it became cool and we all dressed warmly, some friends had left, while others had not arrived yet))

then there were competitions and dances - but we almost didn’t take pictures of them - we just had fun and that’s all))

some by this time decided to relax and sleep in the house)) in the photo: living doll Verusya

and then a wonderful sunset began, friends said that they had never seen anything like it and started taking pictures

This is what the sunset looked like. but the photo doesn't convey it

AFTERWORD We danced for a long time, of course, the most persistent ones and those who do not yet have small children remained to dance. And at about 2 am we brought everything into the house and put things in order in the clearing. And for good luck it started raining! - can you imagine? exactly when we danced and cleaned everything up. At night we were still drinking hot tea in the house, discussing something, and outside the window it was night and it was raining - it was cozy and somehow magical) Friends really enjoyed the garden party, many met for the first time - and chatted in a relaxed stop. Some said that it was a great summer adventure, and that it would be remembered for a long time)) And we are very grateful to our friends for their help and support of this event - the boys pulled out furniture, grilled barbecue, the girls helped with cutting salads and sandwiches))

POST Scriptum. June turned out to be cold for us today and there was almost no sunshine - it rained and even snowed! On this day, getting to the dacha, we were caught in 2 (TWO!) downpours, which came like a wall. And when we got to this wonderful place where our dacha is located, it turned out that there was no rain there today and the warm sun was shining. I was lucky, in general - it was not for nothing that my mother and sister advised me to “order” the weather from the heavenly office the day before))) But it rained there the day before too - and the ground was very damp, literally soaked in moisture. WHAT am I leading with all this, exactly? And besides - no matter what the weather is - DON'T BE AFRAID to fulfill your dreams and plans! Nature doesn’t have bad weather ;-) and if it’s not a fountain, still remember that we live here and now!))) Good luck, happiness, good weather, happy holidays and true friends to everyone!

We) and our Svetka - a childhood friend))

Game "Lucky"

Suitable for a company that loves strong drinks. The participant is blindfolded. Take three stacks or plastic cups. Vodka is poured into two of them, and ordinary water into the third. The player's task is to drink the contents of one glass and wash it down with another. It’s very funny to watch these, because not everyone is able to drink water with vodka.

If you don’t have enough time to prepare, but you want to entertain your friends and family with something more than just a competition or a game, a quest will be an excellent solution.

12 ready-made various tasks will help you spend an hour and a half with fun and excitement. See more details here.

Game "Unusual Figure"

This game is a variation of the well-known charades. One person is selected to be the judge. All those present are divided into teams of two. One of the team members must draw a figure on the back of another participant with his finger. You can make the figure simply imaginary, or you can glue a regular piece of paper on which to draw the figure with a pen, and then simply trace its contours with your finger on the player’s back. Reporting what is depicted is strictly prohibited. Next, the participant must dance, or simply step forward, to depict this figure. All other players must guess what was depicted on the participant’s back. The team whose figure is recognized by the majority of those present wins.

Invitations

How to invite friends, people and relatives close to you? The answer is quite simple: send an SMS message or just call. There is no need to send postcards here. But children love preparing for the holiday, so you can combine business with pleasure with them. There are many templates on the Internet that you can print and sign with the birthday person.

What parents need to do

Parents of children invited to a children's party need to take:

  • a hat to protect the child from sunstroke;
  • spare clothes (if it gets dirty, you can change it)
  • insect repellent;
  • hand sanitizer.

Owner parents, in addition to the items described above, need to take:

  • a blanket (in case the children want to lie on the grass in front of the house);
  • disposable dishes and cutlery;
  • oilcloth tablecloth, easy to wash;
  • a compact first aid kit with a minimum set: iodine, plaster, ammonia and hydrogen peroxide, medicines for indigestion and headaches, ointment for wounds and burns);
  • wet and paper napkins;
  • garbage bags (if the preparation and refreshment itself is supposed to be on the street, and not in the house, then it is important after the celebration to involve the children in joint cleaning, teach them to maintain cleanliness).

Game "Who's missing?"

It is best to play when the company is large and people in it are unfamiliar. But even when everyone knows each other well, this will not make the game any less interesting. One of the participants is blindfolded. At this time, someone present is hiding. Next, the person who was blindfolded has their eyes untied. He must guess which of the participants is missing, and when he succeeds, he must also describe what he was wearing. You can make the task more difficult. While guessing the missing guest, everyone else should not stand still, but constantly move in order to distract the guessing player.

Crab salad

Who said that crab salad is only served on the New Year's table? With just his appearance he creates a festive mood. So it would be quite appropriate to cook it, say, for grandma’s anniversary in nature. Some housewives add sweet peppers, beans and even apples to the salad. We will remind everyone of the classic recipe.

Ingredients:

  • crab sticks - 200 g
  • chicken eggs - 3 pcs.
  • canned corn - 150 g
  • fresh cucumbers - 1 pc.
  • Short grain rice - 80 g
  • red onion - 1 pc.
  • vinegar - 1 tsp.
  • salt - to taste
  • mayonnaise - to taste

Cooking method:

  1. Boil the rice in salted water, drain in a colander.
  2. Hard-boil the eggs and remove the shells.
  3. Peel the onion, chop finely, soak in a weak vinegar solution for 10 minutes and then rinse.
  4. Cut crab sticks, cucumber and eggs into cubes.
  5. You can experiment with serving. For example, lay the ingredients in layers in a glass salad bowl, pour over mayonnaise and garnish with herbs.
  6. Serve the salad in portions in transparent glasses or bowls.

Raffle game “Let’s get into formation together”

Before the start, one leader is selected. Next, all players line up in one line with their backs to the leader. The presenter must walk along all the participants and pat each one on the back or shoulder with his palm. The number of times a person claps is the serial number of a person. After everyone has received their share of claps, the participants must line up in a row, following their serial number. At the same time, no one has the right to utter a word. The whole catch is that the presenter can give the same number of claps to some participants.

It looks very funny when all the participants, winking, stamping their feet and whistling, try to create a formation. So be sure to film it - it will be interesting for the players to watch themselves later.

  • ready-made entertainment program;

Game "Pass it to someone else"

You can play it during a meal, when guests are already starting to get a little bored. All participants sit in a circle. One of the players is given a button. He places it on his index finger. Next, he must pass it to the next player without touching this button with his hands - only from finger to finger. And so on in a circle. The participant who was unable to pass the button is eliminated. The game continues until one winner is determined.

At first glance, the game is simple, but in reality it is quite difficult to pass the button. Especially in a noisy, cheerful company that whistles and shouts trying to knock down the players and distract them.
