Every year on May 9 - on the glorious Victory Day - every conscious person pays tribute to those who bravely fought for the future of their country, family and new generations. It will start at 10:00, and preparations for it began back in March at the training ground in Alabino and lasted there until April 21. Rehearsals on Red Square in Moscow will take place on the evenings of April 27, 29 and May 4, and the dress rehearsal will take place on the morning of May 7.

Parade on Red Square

The military parade on Red Square will be opened by the honor guard company of the Preobrazhensky Regiment. She also has the right to carry the Victory Banner.

The first to enter Red Square will be foot columns of military school cadets and active military personnel. More than 12.5 thousand people will take part in the military parade in Moscow. Immediately after the parade on foot, military equipment (more than 190 units of combat vehicles), including five types of tanks, including historical, modern and new ones, will appear on Red Square. The column of military equipment will be led by the legendary T34 tanks.

The parade will be attended by:

As part of a mechanized column, for the first time on Red Square we will see the increased security armored vehicle “Typhoon Air Defense”.

The parade will end with a flyover of military aircraft and an air show.

The pyrotechnic show will begin on May 9 at 22:00 and will last about five minutes.

The military-themed skit “By the Campfire” is designed for the participation of a teacher and four children. All the characters in the dramatization sit on mock-ups of stumps around a makeshift fire and begin to play their roles. The teacher soulfully reads a poem about a heroic mother saving her son from enemy bullets. And the guys, in turn, tell the audience short poetic excerpts on the topic: the first boy - the words of a rescued son from the past, the second - a verse request to remember the merits of veterans, the third - a rhymed promise to be an honest representative of the new generation and to cherish the military history of his people.

"Immortal Regiment" in Moscow

May 9 is a holiday with tears in our eyes, and this year one of the touching events will take place again - “Immortal Regiment”. It is planned that the procession will take place as usual, but final decisions will be made based on the epidemiological situation.

All those who lost their relatives in the war and who had relatives who worked on the home front are invited to take part in the “Immortal Regiment” campaign. The gathering will begin at 13:00, and the procession itself will begin at 15:00.

The route of the “Immortal Regiment” action in Moscow will run from the Dynamo metro station to Red Square: along Leningradsky Prospekt, 1st Tverskaya-Yamskaya Street, Tverskaya Street, Manezhnaya Square and Red Square. Then the procession will split and proceed along the Moskvoretskaya embankment and the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge.
