Decorating a kindergarten for the autumn holidays
Autumn fairy tale in kindergarten
I bring to your attention some ideas for decorating a room for the autumn holidays.
The material will be useful to teachers and music directors in kindergarten. Goal: creating a festive atmosphere. Objectives: prepare the premises for the autumn holidays, evoke an emotional response in children and their parents. Our kindergarten does not have a large music hall, and we spend matinees in a group. We hang curtains in accordance with the theme of the holiday and decorate them. This creates a central wall. Bright autumn The rain is quietly knocking on the room. Autumn has peeked into my house again, Like a bright, wondrous bird Waving its motley wing to me. There, outside the windows, is a wonderful palette, Yellow and red colors are burning. Autumn performed a cunning trick, throwing an outfit on the trees. The maples are in incredibly bright dresses, The aspens are dressed in gold, And the birches are dressed like a king, The poplars are in sundresses with a border. The rain cleans clothes diligently, bringing the whole world clean. Everything sparkles in the generous autumn, And the soul finds a dream. Tatyana Lavrova
So that autumn comes to our makeshift hall, we hang maple leaves, the sun and clouds with raindrops on the curtains. In one corner we place a birch tree with yellow leaves made of corrugated paper and a green Christmas tree with cones. Near the Christmas tree, a large mushroom is hidden under a scarf, containing treats for the children. In the other corner there is a rowan bush with red berries made of foam rubber. In the center there are mushrooms and a bed with carrots for outdoor games. We add animals: on the birch tree there is a squirrel, under the tree there is a hedgehog, in the garden there is a bunny. So the autumn decoration is ready. The holiday can begin! Autumn Festival in the Garden - Both light and fun! These are the decorations Autumn has hung here! For kids, you can use a small screen and show a puppet show.
And the kids will find a treat in a large raspberry.
Well, if it rains, then we will all wait out the bad weather together under an umbrella.
At the festival, children dance with maple leaves. Participate in skits. “How animals collected mushrooms”
Bunny, don’t feed the bunnies, all the guys say: Bunnies don’t eat mushrooms! “Berries” Look, at the edge of the forest, girlfriends are dancing merrily. Who are they? The name of? Maybe they can sing for us? “Once upon a time I lived with my grandmother...” What a carrot! You handled it cleverly! But carrots are not simple! There's something inside her... A treat for the guys! Look at how many of them there are! “Fly agaric boys” In a clearing near a tree stump Two cheerful boys in red hats askew Singing all day long: “We are not angry guys, Although we are poisonous. There are polka dots on the hat, and the skirt has legs.” So two mushrooms stood near a rotten stump. And under this stump the flies had a cozy home. Flies settled there, Cheerful girlfriends. And each one watched the fungus with one eye. Well, and, of course, they meet fairy-tale characters. Grandfather Grapes

Forest house made of sticks and spruce branches
Do you want to make an unusual composition from natural materials? Try making a cute house out of dry branches.
House made of wooden sticks and branches: YouTube/Kopilochka – crafts and needlework
To work you will need:
- several dry branches of medium thickness;
- fir branches;
- cones - 3 pcs.;
- dry leaves, flowers;
- sheet of cardboard;
- pruning shears or strong scissors;
- glue gun
Stages of work:
- Prepare branches for the house. The author of the book “Decorative Products Made from Natural Materials” I. Tumko reminds that you should not break the branches of growing trees. Take material from trees after pruning. Using pruning shears or scissors, cut the branches into sticks of the same size (about 5–7 cm).
- Glue 8-10 sticks together - this is the wall of the house. Repeat 4 times to get 4 walls.
- Glue the walls together to form a box.
- Make a structure from 4 sticks and glue it to the top of the house. Glue spruce branches onto it - you will get the roof of a forest house.
- Make a door from small twigs - glue 5 thin twigs lengthwise and glue 2 twigs across. Attach the doors to one of the walls.
- Prepare a clearing: glue pine cones, dry herbs, flowers and leaves onto a sheet of cardboard. Place a forest house in the center. The craft is ready.
What to take from nature for autumn decor?
- EARS OF CEREALS (rye, wheat, oats, barley) are best stored during the period of milky-waxy ripeness. Dry straw is fragile and brittle, but when steamed in hot water it becomes soft, flexible, and acquires the ability to transform. The stems are cut into segments between the knees, sorted by length, thickness, color and stored in bunches. Before work, dry straw is soaked or steamed to restore its plastic properties. Beautiful dark golden and brown shades of straw can be obtained by ironing with a heated iron.
- the LEAVES in the fall, when they acquire a beautiful color, and dry them in old magazines or iron them through a newspaper (napkin).
- We will use fresh berries We will dry some of it to depict small details (eyes) or decorate products (patterns).
- HAZELNUTS, WALNUTS, ACORNES AND CHESTNUTS will only be stored when they are ripe. On hard shells, immediately poke holes (it will be more difficult to do this later). Divide the acorns and chestnuts into pieces in advance and make holes. If the fruits are dry, soak them in cold water for a day, and then store them in a cool place for another day.
- BARK (pine, birch) and branches. Birch bark curls into a tube when it dries. This is a ready-made form (a hollow cylinder is the basis for the body of animals) or a strong expressive accent (sea wave). If smooth bark is needed for work, it is steamed in hot water, then laid out on a flat surface.
- from different trees, and at the same time we will grab the branches lying on the ground. You will need both cone scales and acorn cups.
- the CONES unopened. In a warm room they open quickly, so it is advisable to cover the strong buds with BF glue and leave them to dry vertically. Some of the cones can be opened in advance: left for several days in a warm room. Be aware that open buds will close again if you keep them in water.
- Pebbles, shells, sticks, feathers, fluff will be thoroughly washed, dried and, if desired, painted.
Autumn bouquet of maple leaves
The craft in the form of a bouquet of roses made from maple leaves looks very beautiful. This idea is proposed to be brought to life by the author of a thematic blog about DIY crafts.
Necessary materials for the bouquet:
- autumn leaves;
- strong threads.
How to make a bouquet? Tatyana Plotnikova in her work “Crafts from Dried Flowers and Leaves” suggests following simple instructions:
- Walk through the autumn park and collect some maple leaves. To make one rose you need 10–15 leaves without tears.
- Fold each sheet in half crosswise. The first leaf is the core of the flower, so it should be rolled into a tight roll.
- Place the workpiece in the center of the second leaf so that its bottom rests against the beginning of the petiole.
- Fold the second sheet in half (crosswise) and gently wrap it around the core. The ends of the first improvised “petal” should overlap each other.
- Place the third sheet, folded in half, over the first two where the ends of the first “petal” overlap each other. Also gently wrap it around the previously folded parts.
- Gently wind all the other “petals” around the center one by one. When the fullness and lushness of the rose has reached the desired size, wrap the base of the flower with strong threads, leaving long loose ends to secure the flower to the base.
Following the instructions, create several roses and arrange them in a bouquet. To prevent manufactured flowers from wilting and becoming brittle, lubricate with glycerin or treat with wax/paraffin.
From cotton pads
Cotton pads are an environmentally friendly, inexpensive raw material for beautiful children's crafts. They must first be painted in suitable colors. Watercolor paint is suitable for this - it gives smooth color transitions, dries quickly and is safe for children. How to color cotton pads:
- Wet a cotton pad. You can dip it in a container of water and squeeze it lightly to remove excess moisture. Follow. So that the disk does not lose its round shape.
- Next, use a brush to pick up paint from the cuvettes and drip onto the disc. The drops will spread picturesquely, forming streaks and patterns. Can be painted in one tone.
- Leave the discs to dry (on the battery or just in the air).
By the way, ready-made painted disks can be layered, thus obtaining 2.
Already painted discs can be glued entirely, making, for example, apples (you need to add a tail to them - draw, for example). Or cut out the necessary shapes with sharp scissors.
Panel “Autumn Bouquet”
Another bouquet option is flowers made from cones on a sheet of cardboard. This craft can be framed and hung on the wall as a panel.
Panel of leaves and cones: YouTube/EMK-Em
To create beauty for the autumn ball, prepare the following materials:
- open cones of different sizes;
- sheet of cardboard;
- foam strips - 4 pcs.;
- dry grass or hay;
- fern leaves;
- plasticine;
- paints (watercolor or gouache);
- brush;
- glue gun;
- knife.
You need to make a craft like this:
- Prepare the base: cut out thin slats from foam plastic along the length of a sheet of cardboard and glue them on 4 sides. You will get a picture in a frame.
- Cut the cones into small circles with a knife - these are flowers. Color the flowers with colors such as blue and pink. Glue a bunch of dry grass in the middle.
- Glue fern leaves onto the cardboard and make a basket from plasticine at the bottom.
- Starting from the plasticine basket, glue the painted pine cone flowers to the picture.
An unusual panel made from natural materials will become a decoration at a school exhibition.
Photos of autumn decor
It's a sad time! charm of the eyes! Your farewell beauty is pleasant to me - I love the lush decay of nature, the forests dressed in crimson and gold, in their canopy the sound of the wind and fresh breath...

Indian summer motifs in textile design
No festive table is complete without elegant textiles - tablecloths, napkins and towels. Plain tablecloths with single crimson and orange leaves look cozy and warm in autumn. A tablecloth in a red-green, brown-yellow checkered pattern interspersed with blue and red colors is also suitable for the dining table. An excellent complement to such textiles would be dishes, napkins and other accessories in a similar palette.
You can create a themed tablecloth yourself using stencils. To do this, you need to purchase a plain fabric (preferably pastel shades), and use ordinary leaves as a stencil. It is recommended to apply the image using special fabric paints.
Edible baskets: beauty and deliciousness!
Wicker baskets made of rattan (bamboo, corn vine) with seasonal fruits are a magnificent attribute of the holiday table. The main feature of this decoration is that all the contents of the basket (apples, pears, walnuts, pumpkin, beans, onions, corn, garlic, etc.) can be eaten; at the same time, the harmony of the autumn table will not be disturbed in any way, since the wicker objects themselves are a real masterpiece. You can complement the “edible” illustration with flowerpots, napkin holders and rattan dishes.
Country style
Are you ready to move to the countryside? Our next project is filled with natural charm. A purple candlestick attracts the eye, dried flowers in a vase, pine cones and dry leaves introduce us to the natural world. A tablecloth in a simple gray color anchors the feeling of calm.
Country chic
The yellow color in the decor, as the main tone, is present in the following decor. “Golden” antique tableware, dried flowers to match it and the main accent, hand-decorated beer bottles. They are also treated to look like “gold”.
Country chic
Wood color, orange pumpkins, wicker coasters and a modern candle holder are expertly combined in decor from Crate & Barrel.
Create an atmosphere of autumn romance with candles
Candles are a universal decoration for any room and any celebration. Products in golden, yellow, bright orange, mustard, burgundy, chocolate and cherry shades are suitable as an ornament for autumn table setting. Naturally, candles need to be “seated” in themed stands. These can be transparent glasses decorated with leaves, faded spikelets and late berries, as well as pumpkin halves, complemented by pine cones, acorns and dried grass.
Table decor with floral arrangements
Autumn flowers can hardly leave anyone indifferent. Therefore, they are always welcome guests at celebrations and family dinners. Their rich colors and fragrance lift your spirits, add a certain charm to the atmosphere, and add soulfulness to the atmosphere!
Felt crafts
Autumn crafts from felt are easy to make. It is easy to cut, threads and dust do not fly off it. A huge color palette allows you to embody the most unexpected author's ideas. It is absolutely safe for children.
You can make a garland using the method described above, or you can create an unusual wreath on the theme of “Golden Autumn” to decorate the interior. We will need:
- wreath base. If you can’t buy a foam blank, you can twist a ring from a newspaper, wrapping it with tape for strength;
- felt of suitable shades;
- scissors for cutting;
- glue;
- threads for embroidery and warping;
- decor: braid, lace, buttons, beads, etc.
How to make a beautiful seasonal wreath:
- Wrap the base tightly with threads so that there are no gaps.
- From felt, cut out leaves of different shapes (oak, maple, birch, etc.). If you have the skill, embroider veins on them using a stem stitch.
- Glue the leaves to the base.
- Decorate to your taste. You can add mushrooms and berries sewn from felt. You can cut out flowers from felt to complement autumn motifs.
- Tie a ribbon so you can hang the wreath on your door or wall.
Experienced craftswomen can make educational toys on the theme of golden autumn. Cut out shapes of a hedgehog, berries, and mushrooms from felt. Decorate as your imagination dictates: with embroidery, beads, buttons. Glue or sew one piece of Velcro tape onto the back of the small pieces. Attach the second half of the Velcro to the body of the hedgehog. You can play with a homemade toy!
