DECORATIVE ARTWORK CHILDREN'S MUSICAL THEATER PRODUCTION OF “THE SNOW QUEEN”
This article discusses some features of the process of working on a children's musical production of “the snow Queen”: the artistic design of the stage space, the production of costumes, scenery, etc.
Keywords: decoration, decoration, make-up, costume.
Each performance that the viewer sees on stage is created bit by bit, and there is nothing superfluous in it, because each element of a theatrical production carries a specific task - to influence its viewer, including the artistic design of the performance, where works of decorative art are used. applied creativity.
Arts and crafts, expressed in the form of household items and jewelry, are known to play a big role not only in everyday life, but also on stage. When creating a product of arts and crafts, various technologies are used: sewing, flower making, patchwork (sewing from patches, applique, embroidery, knitting, burning, artistic wood and stone carving, drawing, decoupage,
various weaving, painting, scrapbooking, modeling, etc.). Artistic works of decorative and applied creativity are characterized by their originality and uniqueness.
In this work we will consider some features of the decorative and artistic design of the children's theatrical production “The Snow Queen”.
A children's fairy tale is always a bright, enchanting and unforgettable action that leaves a sea of impressions not only on children, but also on adults for a long time. In order for a children's fairy tale to happen on stage, you need to put a lot of effort into creating a script, selecting actors, music, noise and lighting equipment, as well as thinking through the design and subsequent sewing of costumes, scenery, and manufacturing the necessary theatrical paraphernalia.
When starting to work on a theatrical production, the artistic director thinks through the entire production process, starting with the idea, choosing a dramatic work, etc., and then, together with the director, discusses the design (artistic, musical) of the future production. The artistic director must not only embody an attractive performance in appearance, but also ensure that the theatrical production is a means of education, education and development of the audience and team members, especially children's audiences.
Working in a preschool educational institution, I know how functional the use of theatrical activities is in working with children, during which the creative potential of pupils is developed in various types of art: musical, choreographic, visual. Since theater is a synthesis of arts united into one whole, every child can find himself in a certain “role”. He is either a storyteller, an entertainer, or an artist. When writing the script for the fairy tale “The Snow Queen,” we wanted to see not a classic version of the content, but a stylized one, with the addition of scenes from other children’s fairy tales. We supplemented the performance with the introduction of heroes from fairy tales: Vodyany and Carlson.
The festive and colorful event was preceded by long and painstaking work, including preparatory work on decorating the hall where the performance itself was to take place. This was supposed to be the highlight of the performance. To project the action onto the screen, traditional artistic design technologies were used, as well as the use of information and communication technologies. Using modern modeling and 3D image creation programs, we developed slides with animation of snow and blizzards. They visualized the viewer's perception within the performance, as if he was unwittingly traveling with the main character. They also used special LED lighting, a strobe light and a confetti machine that brought snow down. This state-of-the-art equipment added an emotional touch to the event, making the experience even more enjoyable for the children.
Since this is a winter fairy tale, the staff of the educational institution created wonderful theatrical attributes: a fireplace with lighting, a fairy-tale sleigh and trees dusted with artificial snow. The fireplace, sleigh and snowflakes were made three-dimensional from polystyrene foam, on which sketches of the future idea were first made, then the figures were cut out, sanded with sandpaper and glued together with special glue. The trees were real. These were old elms that were withering near the garden. We cut them down and shaped them into winter trees using glue and foam chips and white ribbons tied to the branches. The trees looked very impressive and unusual.

To change the acts, canvases with sewn images of the city and swamp made of cotton fabric were used.
Of course, the children were not left without attention: the Little Frogs involved in the performance enjoyed making puddles for themselves with reeds and water lilies, the Snowflakes girls helped decorate the hoops with silver tinsel, and the students also painted the poster and tickets for the future performance.
Making a children's costume for a performance plays not only an aesthetic role, but helps the child feel the image of the hero. Fabrics used to sew suits must be natural and not cause allergies. The costume must be safe, free, and not restrict the artist’s movements. Sketches of costumes for their children were made and sewn by parents. These were costumes of gypsies, robbers, frogs and snowflakes.
Applying makeup, as one of the main components in the artistic image of the characters, served as a kind of ritual before the start of the performance. The children were really looking forward to this moment, since after it they completely transformed into their hero. The young actors seemed to immediately change their habits, manners and even tone of voice, trying to get used to the role. We transformed almost every young actor into a fairy-tale character. To do this, we used children's face painting, which is as safe as possible for children's skin and does not cause allergies, we also used sparkles and various rhinestones.
The use of all of the above methods of decorative and artistic design allowed the children to believe in the fairy tale that they themselves created on stage. The result of this event was the joy of what was happening on the faces of the young actors, as well as victory in the Municipal Theater Arts Competition “Young Artist”, held among educational institutions in the city of Chernogorsk, Republic of Khakassia.

Footage Happy Teacher's Day
You can also use footage and beautiful photographs to accompany concert performances.
Different fabric draperies can become an original and effective decoration for the stage. From fabrics you can make luxurious arches, sun rays, rainbows, etc. Complete the decor with paper flowers or small balloon arrangements.
A huge bouquet of flowers in the center at the back of the stage will look very beautiful. To do this, simply gather two pieces of fabric together to form a bouquet shape. And then pin large buds of paper flowers to the fabric. All that remains is to add the inscription “Happy Teacher’s Day!”
To create a beautiful inscription on the stage, we suggest using streamers/garlands spelling out “Happy Teacher’s Day!”, which you can print on our website by following the link under the photo.

Use paper flowers, letters and butterflies to decorate the scene. Making such a decoration will not be difficult. Attaching the decor will also be easy, because the most ordinary pins will do.
And, of course, balloons! This material always looks impressive and elegant in holiday decor. You can make arches, inscriptions from balloons, randomly attach them to the backdrop of the stage, make three-dimensional flowers, etc.
