Party location and room preparation

Choosing the right location for a party is already half the success. When choosing, you should consider the number of guests. After all, the more children there are, the more free space they will need. If the party takes place in the summer, then it would be ideal to organize everything somewhere in nature, where there is not only a lot of space, but also greenery, which will serve as a natural decoration for the party. If the event is planned for the cold season, then it is worth finding a fairly spacious cafe.

You can hold a party in a pirate style at home, but only for a narrow circle of guests.

An appropriately decorated interior will help create the right holiday atmosphere. Here you can use more expensive decorations, which are provided by various agencies for organizing holidays, or you can opt for a budget option, doing everything yourself. This does not require large financial investments, and the result will also be excellent.

It would be best to decorate the walls of the room with portraits of famous pirates. You can easily find them on the Internet and print them on regular office paper. It would be appropriate to use several pirate flags in the interior. They can be made from small pieces of black fabric. The design for such a homemade banner can be made temporary (cut out of paper and secured with thread), if you still need the fabric in the future. You can also make it permanent by applying the design with any paint or stationery corrector.

If you find thick ropes, use them too. By hanging them around the room, you can depict the deck of a pirate frigate. A fishing net and an improvised mast are suitable for the same purposes. The latter can be made by tying shorter ones horizontally to a long stick and draping the whole thing with fabric in the form of sails. It would also be a good idea to cut out a steering wheel from old boxes of household appliances and decorate it accordingly.

Don't forget that there should always be treasure in a pirate's lair. Traditionally, it would be nice to place them in a chest, but if you don’t have anything like that, then you can simply spread the fabric on the floor and lay out the impromptu riches there. You can use jewelry, coins, various figurines and gold-plated or simply shiny objects as treasures. At the same time, you can “gild” objects yourself by covering them with foil.

You can also use shells, starfish and seagulls cut out of paper, toy pistols, sabers and much more for decoration.

Making and sending invitations

Guests receive the very first impression of a party along with an invitation to it, so it is worth paying special attention to ensuring that the invitations intrigue and fascinate with just their appearance. It's not difficult to do this.

There are many options for invitations to a pirate party. You can come up with something of your own, or you can use one of the options below:

  • Notes with an invitation on specially aged paper, rolled into a scroll. To do this, slightly crumple a piece of not very thick paper and apply very strong tea or coffee onto it using a cotton swab. This simple trick, after drying, will give you the perfect invitation material.
  • Small bottles with a note inside. Bottles for this can be used either glass or plastic (the latter are even better because they are safer). Use both regular and aged paper. Just make sure that the leaves are twisted in such a way that they can be easily removed from the bottle.
  • Black Mark. Printing and cutting out such invitations is generally very simple. The only thing is that due to the small size of the information, not much information will fit on them.

  • Invitation ships. Detailed instructions and layouts can be found in the article about a pirate party on a yacht.

If you have very limited time and cannot pay much attention to the invitations, then use social networks: create a group for everyone and post all the necessary information in it.

In addition to the place, time and theme of the event, the invitations should also indicate the requirements for appearance and the password in order to get to the holiday. In addition, the main idea of the holiday can be briefly stated there:

  • treasure hunt;
  • election of the pirate king;
  • solving the mystery of the old pirate;
  • corsair competition and much more.

Holiday menu

Children are a rather capricious group when it comes to food. Therefore, it is worth trying very hard to ensure that the festive table not only pleases them, but also looks in the spirit of a pirate party.

To begin with, labels with the word “rum” should be placed on all bottles of drinks, because not a single pirate gathering took place without this fiery drink. Next, to decorate sandwiches and tartlets, it would be good to use rapier-shaped skewers and toothpicks with black flags attached to them.

You can prepare any salads, but give them new thematic names. For example:

  • "Sea Devil";
  • "Treasures of the Corsair";
  • "Octopus Tentacles";
  • "Pirate Island"
  • "Black Pearl";
  • "The kiss of death".

There should be a lot of fruits. And you can lay them out in a rather original way and in the spirit of the holiday. You can draw pirate faces on banana peels, and use bright napkins to make bandanas for them. You can assemble palm trees from fruits and a long skewer, and stick them into some fruit (apple, pineapple, mango) and place them on the table. You can also make dolphins and other sea creatures from fruits.

And, of course, sweets. A themed cake in the form of a pirate or some kind of sea reptile, in the form of a ship or a desert island. You can use cookies decorated with icing. The drawings can be boats, pirates, Jolly Roger, steering wheels, skulls, chests and even treasure maps.
